On the Number of Connected Edge Cover Sets of Some Graph Families
Let $G=(V,E)$ be a simple connected graph. A connected edge cover of $G$ is a subset $S\subseteq E$ such that every vertex of $G$ is incident with at least one edge in $S$ and the subgraph induced by $S$ is connected. The connected edge cover polynomial of $G$ is defined as $E_c(G,x)=\sum_{i} e_c(G,i)x^i$, where $e_c(G,i)$ denotes the number of connected edge covers of $G$ with exactly $i$ edges. In this paper, we derive explicit formulas for both the connected edge cover polynomials and the total number of connected edge covers for several important graph families, including wheels, complete graphs $K_n$, complete bipartite graphs $K_{2,n}$, friendship graphs, and lollipop graphs. Each formula is accompanied by a combinatorial proof and verified by computational enumeration for small orders.
Graphs determined by signless Laplacian spectra
Published in AKCE International Journal of Graphs and Combinatorics, 2018 • View PublicationBIB
In the past decades, graphs that are determined by their spectrum have received more attention, since they have been applied to several fields, such as randomized algorithms, combinatorial optimization problems and machine learning. An important part of spectral graph theory is devoted to determining whether given graphs or classes of graphs are determined by their spectra or not. So, finding and introducing any class of graphs which are determined by their spectra can be an interesting and important problem. A graph is said to be DQS if there is no other non-isomorphic graph with the same signless Laplacian spectrum. For a DQS graph G, we show that G[rK1 [sK2 is DQS under certain conditions, where r, s are natural numbers and K1 and K2 denote the complete graphs on one vertex and two vertices, respectively. Applying these results, some DQS graphs with independent edges and isolated vertices are obtained
On the spectral determinations of the connected multicone graphs $ K_r\bigtriangledown sK_t $

In this study we investigate the spectra of the family of connected multicone graphs. A multicone graph is defined to be the join of a clique and a regular graph. Let $ r $, $ t $ and $ s $ be natural numbers, and let $ K_r $ denote a complete graph on $ r $ vertices. It is proved that connected multicone graphs $ K_r\bigtriangledown sK_t $, a natural generalization of friendship graphs, are determined by their adjacency spectra as well as their Laplacian spectra. Also, we show that the complement of multicone graphs $ K_r\bigtriangledown sK_t $ are determined by their adjacency spectra, where $ s\neq 2 $.

The spectral determination of the multicone graphs Kw+P
The main aim of this study is to characterize new classes of multicone graphs which are determined by their signless Laplacian spectra, their Laplacian spectra and their adjacency spectra. A multicone graph is defined to be the join of a clique and a regular graph. Let P and Kw denote the Petersen graph and a complete graph on w vertices, respectively. In this paper, we show that multicone graphs Kw+P are determined by their signless Laplacian spectra, their Laplacian spectra and their adjacency spectra. Keywords: DS graph; Multicone graph; Signless Laplacian spectrum; Petersen graph.

The spectral determinations of the multicone graphs Kw+mCn
The main goal of the paper is to characterize new classes of multicone graphs which are determined by both adjacency and Laplacian spectra. A multicone graph is defined to be the join of a clique and a regular graph. A wheel graph obtained from the join of a complete graph on a vertex with a cycle. A question about when wheel graphs are determined by their adjacency spectra is still unsolved. So, any indication about the determinations of these graphs with respect to their adjacency spectra can be an interesting and important problem. In [Y. Zhang, X. Liu, and X. Yong: Which wheel graphs are determined by their Laplacian spectra?. Comput. Math. Appl., 58 (2009) 1887{1890] and [M.-H. Liu: Some graphs determined by their (signless) Laplacian spectra. Czech. Math. J., 62, (2012) 1117{1134] it have been shown that except for, the wheel graph of order seven, all wheel graphs are determined by their Laplacian spectra and wheel graphs are determined by their signless Laplacian spectra, respectively. In this study, we present new classes of connected multicone graphs which are a natural generalization of wheel graphs and we show that these graphs are determined by their adjacency spectra as well as their Laplacian spectra. Also, we show that complement of some of these graphs are determined by their adjacency spectra. In addition, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for perfecting graphs cospectral with presented graphs in the paper. Finally, we pose two problems for further work.
