Discrete homology computations by reduction to zero differentials
We develop a new algorithm for computing (persistent) discrete homology of graphs using reduction to zero differentials and active enumeration. This allows us to compute the fourth homology group of the Greene sphere, along with several previously unknown groups. We also show that persistent discrete homology computes faster than simplicial homology of Vietoris-Rips complex in the high-noise non-metric settings, making it a better choice for noisy data sets.
Stability of persistent path homology of path complexes
We show stability of persistent path homology of path complexes. As a consequence, we deduce the stability of persistent path homology of hypergraphs and of sequence hypergraphs, and recover the known stability result for digraphs, originally due to Chowdhury and Mémoli.
Discrete homotopy hypothesis for n-types
We show that discrete and classical homotopy theories are equivalent after localizing at n-equivalences for any non-negative integer n. By constructing an explicit homotopy inverse to the graph nerve functor associating an n-fibrant cubical set to a graph, we are also able to give explicit computations of several previously unknown discrete homotopy groups of boundaries of cubes and suspensions of cycles.
Fast computation of the first discrete homology group
We present a new algorithm for computing the first discrete homology group of a graph. By testing the algorithm on different data sets of random graphs, we find that it significantly outperforms other known algorithms.
Biclosed monoidal structures on the categories of digraphs and graphs
We show that the categories of directed and undirected reflexive graphs carry exactly two (up to isomorphism) biclosed monoidal structures.
Data analysis using discrete cubical homology
We present a new tool for data analysis: persistence discrete homology, which is well-suited to analyze filtrations of graphs. In particular, we provide a novel way of representing high-dimensional data as a filtration of graphs using pairwise correlations. We discuss several applications of these tools, e.g., in weather and financial data, comparing them to the standard methods used in the respective fields.
Efficient computations of discrete cubical homology
We present a fast algorithm for computing discrete cubical homology of graphs over finite fields with an appropriate characteristic. This algorithm improves on several computational steps compared to constructions in the existing literature, with the key insights including: a faster way to generate all singular cubes, reducing the dimensions of vector spaces in the chain complex by taking a quotient over automorphisms of the cube, and preprocessing graphs using the axiomatic treatment of discrete cubical homology.
Homotopy $n$-types of cubical sets and graphs
We give a new construction of the model structure on the category of simplicial sets for homotopy $n$-types, originally due to Elvira-Donazar and Hernandez-Paricio, using a right transfer along the coskeleton functor. We observe that an analogous model structure can be constructed on the category of cubical sets, and use it to equip the category of (simple) graphs with a fibration category structure whose weak equivalences are discrete $n$-equivalences.

We show that the category of (reflexive) graphs and graph maps carries exactly two closed symmetric monoidal products: the box product and the categorical product.
Calculus of Fractions for Quasicategories
We describe a generalization of Gabriel and Zisman's Calculus of Fractions to quasicategories, showing that the two essentially coincide for the nerve of a category. We then prove that the marked Ex-functor can be used to compute the localization of a marked quasicategory satisfying our condition and that the appropriate (co)completeness properties of the quasicategory carry over to its localization.
Nonexistence of colimits in naive discrete homotopy theory
We show that the quasicategory defined as the localization of the category of (simple) graphs at the class of A-homotopy equivalences does not admit colimits. In particular, we settle in the negative the question of whether the A-homotopy equivalences in the category of graphs are part of a model structure.

We prove that the category of directed graphs and graph maps carries a cofibration category structure in which the weak equivalences are the graph maps inducing isomorphisms on path homology.

We construct a functor associating a cubical set to a (simple) graph. We show that cubical sets arising in this way are Kan complexes, and that the A-groups of a graph coincide with the homotopy groups of the associated Kan complex. We use this to prove a conjecture of Babson, Barcelo, de Longueville, and Laubenbacher from 2006, and a strong version of the Hurewicz theorem in discrete homotopy theory.
