On the distance spectral gap and construction of D-equienergetic graphs
Let $D(G)$ denote the distance matrix of a connected graph $G$ with $n$ vertices. The distance spectral gap of a graph $G$ is defined as $δ_{D^G} = ρ_1 - ρ_2$, where $ρ_1$ and $ρ_2$ represent the largest and second largest eigenvalues of $D(G)$, respectively. For a $k$-transmission regular graph $G$, the second smallest eigenvalue of the distance Laplacian matrix equals the distance spectral gap of $G$. In this article, we obtain some upper and lower bounds for the distance spectral gap of a graph in terms of the sum of squares of its distance eigenvalues. Additionally, we provide some bounds for the distance eigenvalues and distance energy of graphs. Furthermore, we construct new families of non $D$-cospectral $D$-equienergetic graphs with diameters of $3$ and $4$.
On the resistance regular graphs
For a connected graph $G$, its resistance distance matrix is denoted by $R(G)$. A graph is called resistance regular if all the row (or column) sums of $R(G)$ are equal. We provide a necessary and sufficient condition for a simple connected graph to be resistance regular. Additionally, we establish sharp bounds for the resistance spectral radius and present various bounds for the resistance energy of $G$. Furthermore, we compute the resistance spectrum and resistance energy of some resistance regular graphs.
Resistance distance and Kirchhoff index in central vertex join and central edge join of two graphs
The central graph $C(G)$ of a graph $G$ is the graph obtained by inserting a new vertex into each edge of $G$ exactly once and joining all the non-adjacent vertices in $G$. Let $G_1$ and $G_2$ be two vertex disjoint graphs. The central vertex join of $G_1$ and $G_2$ is the graph $ G_1\dot{\vee} G_2$, is obtained from $C(G_1)$ and $G_2$ by joining each vertex of $G_1$ with every vertex of $G_2$. The central edge join of $G_1$ and $G_2$ is the graph $ G_1\veebar G_2$, is obtained from $C(G_1)$ and $G_2$ by joining each vertex corresponding to the edges of $G_1$ with every vertex of $G_2$. In this article, we obtain formulae for the resistance distance and Kirchhoff index of $G_1\dot{\vee} G_2$ and $ G_1\veebar G_2$. In addition, we provide the resistance distance, Kirchhoff index, and Kemeny's constant of the central graph of a graph.
Resistance distance in $k$-coalescence of certain graphs
Any graph can be considered as a network of resistors, each of which has a resistance of $1 Ω.$ The resistance distance $r_{ij}$ between a pair of vertices $i$ and $j$ in a graph is defined as the effective resistance between $i$ and $j$. This article deals with the resistance distance in the $k$-coalescence of complete graphs. We also present its results in connection with the Kemeny's constant, Kirchhoff index, additive degree-Kirchhoff index, multiplicative degree-Kirchhoff index and mixed degree-Kirchhoff index. Moreover, we obtain the resistance distance in the $k$-coalescence of a complete graph with particular graphs. As an application, we provide the resistance distance of certain graphs such as the vertex coalescence of a complete bipartite graph with a complete graph, a complete bipartite graph with a star graph, the windmill graph, pineapple graph, etc.

For a connected graph $G$, we present the concept of a new graph matrix related to its distance and Seidel matrix, called distance Seidel matrix $\mathcal{D}^S(G)$. Suppose that the eigenvalues of $\mathcal{D}^S(G)$ be $\partial_{1}^{S}(G) \geq \cdots \geq \partial_{n}^{S}(G).$ In this article, we establish a relationship between distance Seidel eigenvalues of a graph with its distance and adjacency eigenvalues. We characterize all the connected graphs with $\partial_{1}^{S}(G)= 3.$ Also, we determine different bounds for the distance Seidel spectral radius and distance Seidel energy. We study the distance Seidel energy change of the complete bipartite graph due to the deletion of an edge. Moreover, we obtain the distance Seidel spectra of different graph operations such as join, cartesian product, lexicographic product, and unary operations like the double graph and extended double cover graph. We give various families of distance Seidel cospectral and distance Seidel integral graphs as an application.
On the distance spectrum and distance-based topological indices of central vertex-edge join of three graphs
Topological indices are molecular descriptors that describe the properties of chemical compounds. These topological indices correlate specific physico-chemical properties like boiling point, enthalpy of vaporization, strain energy, and stability of chemical compounds. This article introduces a new graph operation based on central graph called central vertex-edge join and provides its results related to graph invariants like eccentric-connectivity index, connective eccentricity index, total-eccentricity index, average eccentricity index, Zagreb eccentricity indices, eccentric geometric-arithmetic index, eccentric atom-bond connectivity index, and Wiener index. Also, we discuss the distance spectrum of the central vertex-edge join of three regular graphs. Furthermore, we obtain new families of $D$-equienergetic graphs, which are non $D$-cospectral.
