Flowers in graph-like spaces
One perspective on tree decompositions is that they display (low-order) separations of the underlying graph or matroid. The separations displayed by a tree decomposition are necessarily nested. In 2013, Clark and Whittle proved the existence of tree decompositions with flowers added in which, up to a natural equivalence, all low-order separations are displayed. An important step in that proof is to show that flowers can be extended to maximal flowers. In this paper we generalise the notion of a flower to pseudoflowers in graph-like spaces and show for our generalisation, flowers can be extended to maximal flowers.

Limit-closed Profiles
Tangle-tree theorems are an important tool in structural graph theory, and abstract separation systems are a very general setting in which tangle-tree theorems can still be formulated and proven. For infinite abstract separation systems, so far tangle-tree theorems have only been shown for special cases of separation systems, in particular when the separation system arises from a (locally finite) infinite graph. We present a tangle-tree theorem for infinite separation systems where we do not place restrictions on the separation system itself but on the tangles to be arranged in a tree.

Path spaces I: A Menger-type result
Infinite graphs are finitary in the sense that their points are connected via finite paths. So what would an infinitary generalization of finite graphs look like? Usually this question is answered with the aid of topology, e.g. in the case of graph-like spaces. Here we introduce a more combinatorial answer, which we call path space, and prove a version of Menger's theorem for it. Since there are many topological path-like objects which induce path spaces, this result can be applied in a variety of settings.
