An Algorithm for Computing the Covering Radius of a Linear Code Based on Vilenkin-Chrestenson Transform
Published • View PublicationBIB
We present a generalization of Walsh-Hadamard transform that is suitable for applications in Coding Theory, especially for computation of the weight distribution and the covering radius of a linear code over a finite field. The transform used in our research, is a modification of Vilenkin-Chrestenson transform. Instead of using all the vectors in the considered space, we take a maximal set of nonproportional vectors, which reduces the computational complexity.

About Code Equivalence -- a Geometric Approach
Published • View PublicationBIB
The equivalence test is a main part in any classification problem. It helps to prove bounds for the main parameters of the considered combinatorial structures and to study their properties. In this paper, we present algorithms for equivalence of linear codes, based on their relation to multisets of points in a projective geometry.

Classification of linear codes using canonical augmentation
We propose an algorithm for classification of linear codes over different finite fields based on canonical augmentation. We apply this algorithm to obtain classification results over fields with 2, 3 and 4 elements.
Characteristic vector and weight distribution of a linear code
Published in Cryptography and Communications 13, 263-282 (2021) • View PublicationBIB
We develop an algorithm for computing the weight distribution of a linear $[n,k]$ code over a finite field $\mathbb{F}_q$. We represent the codes by their characteristic vector with respect to a given generator matrix and a special type of a generator matrix of the k-dimensional simplex code. This characteristic vector is the input data of our algorithms. The complexity of the presented algorithms is O(kq^k).
Some Extremal Self-Dual Codes and Unimodular Lattices in Dimension 40
Published in Finite Fields and Their Applications 21 (2013) 67-83 • View PublicationBIB
In this paper, binary extremal singly even self-dual codes of length 40 and extremal odd unimodular lattices in dimension 40 are studied. We give a classification of extremal singly even self-dual codes of length 40. We also give a classification of extremal odd unimodular lattices in dimension 40 with shadows having 80 vectors of norm 2 through their relationships with extremal doubly even self-dual codes of length 40.

An Algorithm for Classification of Binary Self-Dual Codes
Published in IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, vol. 58, pp. 3933--3940, 2012 • View PublicationBIB
An efficient algorithm for classification of binary self-dual codes is presented. As an application, a complete classification of the self-dual codes of length 38 is given.
Binary and Ternary Quasi-perfect Codes with Small Dimensions
Published in IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, vol. 54, issue 9, pp. 4335-4339, 2008 • View PublicationBIB
The aim of this work is a systematic investigation of the possible parameters of quasi-perfect (QP) binary and ternary linear codes of small dimensions and preparing a complete classification of all such codes. First we give a list of infinite families of QP codes which includes all binary, ternary and quaternary codes known to is. We continue further with a list of sporadic examples of binary and ternary QP codes. Later we present the results of our investigation where binary QP codes of dimensions up to 14 and ternary QP codes of dimensions up to 13 are classified.
