A study on certain bounds of the rna number and some characterizations of the parity signed graphs
For a given graph $G$, let $f:V(G)\to \{1,2,\ldots,n\}$ be a bijective mapping. For a given edge $uv \in E(G)$, $σ(uv)=+$, if $f(u)$ and $f(v)$ have the same parity and $σ(uv)=-$, if $f(u)$ and $f(v)$ have opposite parity. The resultant signed graph is called a parity signed graph and the mapping $σ$ is called a parity signature of $G$. Let us denote a parity signed graph $S=(G,σ)$ by $G_σ$. Let $E^-(G_σ)$ be a set of negative edges in a parity signed graph and let $Si(G)$ be the set of all parity signatures for the underlying graph $G$. We define the \textit{rna} number of $G$ as $σ^-(G)=\min\{|E^-(G_σ)|:σ\in Si(G)\}$. In this paper, we prove a non-trivial upper bound in the case of trees: $σ^-(T)\leq \lceil\frac{n}{2}\rceil$, where $T$ is a tree of order $n+1$. We have found families of trees whose \textit{rna} numbers are bounded above by $\lceil\fracΔ{2}\rceil$ and also we have shown that for any $i\leq \lceil\frac{n}{2}\rceil$, there exists a tree $T$ (of order $n+1$) with $σ^-(T)=i$. This paper gives a characterization of graphs with \textit{rna} number 1 in terms of its spanning trees and also a characterization of graphs with \textit{rna} number 2.
Partial Domination in Prisms of Graphs
For any graph G = (V, E) and proportion $p\in(0,1]$, a set $S\subseteq V$ is a p-dominating set if $\frac{|N[S]|}{|V|}\geq p$. The $p$-domination number $γ_{p}(G)$ equals the minimum cardinality of a $p$-dominating set in G. For a permutation $π$ of the vertex set of G, the graph $π$G is obtained from two disjoint copies $G_1$ and $G_2$ of $G$ by joining each v in $G_1$ to $π(v)$ in $G_2$. i.e., $V(πG)= V(G_1)\cup V(G_2) \text{ and } E(G)= E(G_1)\cup E(G_2)\cup \{\{v,π(v)\}: v\in V(G_1), π(v)\in V(G_2)\}$. The graph $πG$ is called the prism of $G$ with respect to $π$. In this paper, we find some relations between the domination and the $p$-domination numbers in the context of graph and its prism graph for particular values of $p$.

In this paper, we derive a formula to express the maximum number of non-intersecting diagonals of arbitrary length that can be drawn in n x n square arrays, where n is a multiple of l+1.

Parity Labeling in Signed Graphs
Published in Journal of Prime Research in Mathematics, 17(2) (2021), 1-7 • Search Publication
Let $S=(G, σ)$ be a signed graph where $G=(V, E)$ is a graph called the underlying graph of $S$ and $σ:E(G) \rightarrow \{+,~-\}$. Let $f:V(G) \rightarrow \{1,2,\dots,|V(G)|\}$ such that $σ(uv)=+$ if and only if $f(u)$ and $f(v)$ are of same parity and $σ(uv)=-$ if and only if $f(u)$ and $f(v)$ are of opposite parity. Under $f$ we get a signed graph $G_f$ denoted as $S$, which is a parity signed graph. In this paper, we initiate the study of parity labeling in signed graphs and we define and find `rna' number denoted as $σ^-(S)$ for some classes of signed graphs. We also characterize some signed graphs which are parity signed graphs. Some directions for further research are also suggested.

Line Completion Number of Grid Graph $P_n \times P_m$
Published in Communications in Combinatorics and Optimization, Vol. 6, No. 2, 2021 pp.299-313 • View PublicationBIB
The concept of super line graph was introduced in the year 1995 by Bagga, Beineke and Varma. Given a graph with at least $r$ edges, the super line graph of index $r$, $L_r(G)$, has as its vertices the sets of $r$ edges of $G$, with two adjacent if there is an edge in one set adjacent to an edge in the other set. The line completion number $lc(G)$ of a graph $G$ is the least positive integer $r$ for which $L_r(G)$ is a complete graph. In this paper, we find the line completion number of grid graph $P_n \times P_m$ for various cases of $n$ and $m$.
Characterizations of Some Parity Signed Graphs
We describe parity labelings of signed graphs; equivalently, cuts of the underlying graph that have nearly equal sides. We characterize the balanced signed graphs which are parity signed graphs. We give structural characterizations of all parity signed stars, bistars, cycles, paths and complete bipartite graphs. The rna number of a graph is the smallest cut size that has nearly equal sides; we find it for a few classes of parity signed graphs.

L(t, 1)-Colouring of Graphs
Published in Turkish World Mathematical Society Journal of Applied and Engineering Mathematics, 12 (1), 2022, 296-301 • Search Publication
One of the most famous applications of Graph Theory is in the field of Channel Assignment Problems. There are varieties of graph colouring concepts that are used for different requirements of frequency assignments in communication channels. We introduce here L(t, 1)-colouring of graphs. This has its foundation in T-colouring and L(p, q)-colouring. For a given finite set T including zero, an L(t, 1)-colouring of a graph G is an assignment of non-negative integers to the vertices of G such that the difference between the colours of adjacent vertices must not belong to the set T and the colours of vertices that are at distance two must be distinct. The variable t in L(t, 1) denotes the elements of the set T. For a graph G, the L(t, 1)-span of G is the minimum of the highest colour used to colour the vertices of a graph out of all the possible L(t, 1)-colourings. It is denoted by $λ_{t,1} (G)$. We study some properties of L(t, 1)-colouring. We also find upper bounds of $λ_{t,1} (G)$ of selected simple connected graphs.
