A $k$-book in a hypergraph consists of $k$ Berge triangles sharing a common edge. In this paper we prove that the number of the hyperedges in a $k$-book-free 3-uniform hypergraph on $n$ vertices is at most $\frac{n^2}{8}(1+o(1))$.

Let $H$ and $G$ be graphs on $n$ vertices, where $n$ is sufficiently large. We prove that if $H$ has Ore-degree at most 5 and $G$ has minimum degree at least $2n/3$ then $H\subset G.$

We give an upper bound for the online chromatic number of graphs with high girth and for graphs with high oddgirth generalizing Kier- stead's algorithm for graphs that contain neither a C3 or C5 as an induced subgraph.
