On (1,1,2,3)- and (1,1,3,3,3)-Packing Colorings of Claw-Free Subcubic Graphs
For a non-decreasing sequence $S=(a_1,a_2,\ldots,a_r)$ of positive integers, an $S$-packing coloring of a graph $G$ is a partition of $V(G)$ into sets $A_1,\ldots,A_r$ such that any two distinct vertices in $A_i$ are at distance greater than $a_i$, for every $i\in\{1,\ldots,r\}$. Gastineau and Togni [\emph{Discrete Math.} 339 (2016), 2461--2470] asked whether every subcubic graph, except the Petersen graph, is $(1,1,2,3)$-packing colorable. In this paper, we prove that every claw-free subcubic graph is $(1,1,2,3)$-packing colorable. Moreover, we show that every connected claw-free subcubic graph, except a single graph $\mathcal{H}$, is $(1,1,3,3,3)$-packing colorable, thereby confirming a conjecture of the first two authors. Both results are best possible. Our proofs rely on a structural framework based on the skeleton and core graphs of a claw-free subcubic graph, together with a Hall-type matching argument that reduces the construction of suitable $3$-packings to a matching problem in an auxiliary bipartite graph.

Impact of local girth on the S-packing coloring of k-saturated subcubic graphs
For a non-decreasing sequence $S=(s_1,s_2,\dots,s_k)$, an $S$-packing coloring of a graph $G$ is a vertex coloring using the colors $s_1,s_2,\dots,s_k$ such that any two vertices assigned the same color $s_i$ are at distance greater than $s_i$. A subcubic graph is said to be $k$-saturated, for $0\le k\le3$, if every vertex of degree 3 is adjacent to at most $k$ vertices of degree~3. The \emph{local girth} of a vertex is the length of the smallest cycle containing it. Brešar, Kuenzel, and Rall [\textit{Discrete Math.} 348(8) (2025),~114477] proved that every claw-free cubic graph is $(1,1,2,2)$-packing colorable, confirming the conjecture for this family. Equivalently, a claw-free cubic graph is one in which each $3$-vertex has local girth~3. Motivated by this observation and by recent progress on $S$-packing colorings of $k$-saturated subcubic graphs, we study the influence of local girth on their $S$-packing colorability. We establish a series of results describing how the parameters of saturation and local girth jointly determine the admissible $S$-packing sequences. Sharpness is verified through explicit constructions, and several open problems are posed to delineate the remaining cases.

A Short Proof that Every Claw-Free Cubic Graph is (1,1,2,2)-Packing Colorable
It was recently proved that every claw-free cubic graph admits a (1, 1, 2, 2)-packing coloring--that is, its vertex set can be partitioned into two 1-packings and two 2-packings. This result was established by Brešar, Kuenzel, and Rall [Discrete Mathematics 348 (8) (2025), 114477]. In this paper, we provide a simpler and shorter proof.

Advances on the Packing Coloring Conjectures of Subcubic Graphs
For a non-decreasing sequence of integers $S=(s_1,s_2, \dots, s_k)$, an $S$-packing coloring of $G$ is a partition of $V(G)$ into $k$ subsets $V_1,V_2,\dots,V_k$ such that the distance between any two distinct vertices $x,y \in V_i$ is at least $s_{i}+1$, $1\leq i\leq k$. The packing chromatic number $χ_ρ(G)$ of a graph $G$ is the smallest integer $p$ such that $G$ is $(1,2,\dots ,p)$-packing colorable. Gastineau and Togni asked whether the subdivision $S(G)$ of every subcubic graph $G$ has $χ_ρ(S(G))\leq 5$ and whether every subcubic graph, except the Petersen graph, is $(1,1,2,2)$-packing colorable; these questions were later conjectured by Brešar et al. Moreover, Gastineau and Togni proved that a positive answer to the second question implies a positive answer to the first. In this paper, we completely resolve the second question for connected non-regular subcubic graphs, proving that they are $(1,1,2,2)$-packing colorable and hence satisfy $χ_ρ(S(G)) \leq 5$. We also establish the same result for several classes of cubic graphs, including those with diamonds, certain cut-vertices, and bridges on short cycles. Finally, we strengthen the recent result of Liu, Zhang, and Zhang [\textit{Discrete Math.} 348 (11) (2025). 114610] that every subcubic graph is $(1,1,2,2,3)$-packing colorable by proving that every connected cubic graph admits a $(1,1,2,2,k)$-packing coloring in which at most one vertex receives color $k$, where $k$ is arbitrary. This not only simplifies the existing argument but also strictly improves the bound.

On $S$-packing Coloring of Bounded Degree Graphs
Given a sequence $S=(s_1,s_2,\ldots,s_p)$, $p\geq 2$, of non-decreasing integers, an $S$-packing coloring of a graph $G$ is a partition of its vertex set into $p$ disjoint sets $V_1,\ldots, V_p$ such that any two distinct vertices of $V_i$ are at a distance greater than $s_i$, $1\le i\le p$. In this paper, we study the $S$-packing coloring problem on graphs of bounded maximum degree and for sequences mainly containing 1's and 2's ($i^r$ in a sequence means $i$ is repeated $r$ times). Generalizing existing results for subcubic graphs, we prove a series of results on graphs of maximum degree $k$: We show that graphs of maximum degree $k$ are $(1^{k-1},2^k)$-packing colorable. Moreover, we refine this result for restricted subclasses: A graph of maximum degree $k$ is said to be $t$-saturated, $0\le t\le k$, if every vertex of degree $k$ is adjacent to at most $t$ vertices of degree $k$. We prove that any graph of maximum degree $k\ge 3$ is $(1^{k-1}, 3)$-packing colorable if it is 0-saturated, $(1^{k-1}, 2)$-packing colorable if it is $t$-saturated, $1\leq t\leq k-2$; and $(1^{k-1},2^{k-1})$-packing colorable if it is $(k-1)$-saturated. We also propose some conjectures and questions.

Further Results and Questions on $S$-Packing Coloring of Subcubic Graphs
For non-decreasing sequence of integers $S=(a_1,a_2, \dots, a_k)$, an $S$-packing coloring of $G$ is a partition of $V(G)$ into $k$ subsets $V_1,V_2,\dots,V_k$ such that the distance between any two distinct vertices $x,y \in V_i$ is at least $a_{i}+1$, $1\leq i\leq k$. We consider the $S$-packing coloring problem on subclasses of subcubic graphs: For $0\le i\le 3$, a subcubic graph $G$ is said to be $i$-saturated if every vertex of degree 3 is adjacent to at most $i$ vertices of degree 3. Furthermore, a vertex of degree 3 in a subcubic graph is called heavy if all its three neighbors are of degree 3, and $G$ is said to be $(3,i)$-saturated if every heavy vertex is adjacent to at most $i$ heavy vertices. We prove that every 1-saturated subcubic graph is $(1,1,3,3)$-packing colorable and $(1,2,2,2,2)$-packing colorable. We also prove that every $(3,0)$-saturated subcubic graph is $(1,2,2,2,2,2)$-packing colorable.
Paths With Three Blocks In Digraphs
A path with three blocks $P(k,l,r)$ is an oriented path formed by $k$-forward arcs followed by $l$-backward arcs then $r$-forward arcs. We prove that any $(2k+1)$-chromatic digraph contains a path $P(1,k,1)$. However the existence of $P(1,l,1)$ with $l \geq k$ is established in any $(k+4)$-chromatic digraph. In general, we establish a quadratic bound for paths with three blocks.
On The b-Chromatic Number of Regular Bounded Graphs
A $b$-coloring of a graph is a proper coloring such that every color class contains a vertex adjacent to at least one vertex in each of the other color classes. The $b$-chromatic number of a graph $G$, denoted by $b(G)$, is the maximum integer $k$ such that $G$ admits a $b$-coloring with $k$ colors. El Sahili and Kouider conjectured that $b(G)=d+1$ for $d$-regular graph with girth 5, $d\geq4$. In this paper, we prove that this conjecture holds for $d$-regular graph with at least $d^3+d$ vertices. More precisely we show that $b(G)=d+$1 for $d$-regular graph with at least $d^3+d$ vertices and containing no cycle of order 4. We also prove that $b(G)=d+1$ for $d$-regular graphs with at least $2d^3+2d-2d^2$ vertices improving Cabello and Jakovac bound.
Labeled Packing of Non Star Tree into its Fifth Power and Sixth Power
In this paper we prove that we can find a labeled packing of a non star tree $T$ into $T^6$ with $m_T+\lceil\frac{n-m_T}{5}\rceil$ labels, where $n$ is the number of vertices of $T$ and $m_T$ is the maximum number of leaves that can be removed from $T$ in such a way that the obtained graph is a non star tree. Also, we prove that we can find a labeled packing of a non star tree $T$ into $T^5$ with $m_T+1$ labels and a labeled packing of a path $P_n$, $n\geq 4$, into $P_n^4$ with $\lceil \frac{n}{4}\rceil$ labels.
