An edge-bicolored graph approach to the Ising model on random regular graphs
We give an exact solution of the ferromagnetic Ising model on a random regular graph ensemble via analytic combinatorics. Expressing the partition function as the generating function of labeled edge-bicolored graphs, we obtain the free energy in the thermodynamic limit from the asymptotic enumeration of these graphs. A simple analysis of the resulting formula reveals a second-order phase transition with critical exponents of the mean-field universality class.
Asymptotic number of edge-colored regular graphs
We prove a formula for the asymptotic number of edge-colored regular graphs with a prescribed set of allowed vertex-incidence structures. The formula depends on specific critical points of a polynomial encoding the vertex-incidences. As an application, we compute the expected number of proper $c$-edge-colorings of a large random $k$-regular graph.
Tropicalized quantum field theory and global tropical sampling
We explain how to tropicalize scalar quantum field theory and show that tropicalized massive scalar quantum field theory is exactly solvable. This exact solution manifests as a non-linear recursion equation fulfilled by the expansion coefficients of the quantum effective action. Geometrically, this recursion computes specific volumes of moduli spaces of metric graphs and is thereby analogous to Mirzakhani's volume recursions on the moduli space of curves. Building on this exact solution, we construct an algorithm that samples points from the moduli space of graphs approximately proportional to their perturbative contribution. Remarkably, this algorithm requires only polynomial time and memory, suggesting that perturbative quantum field theory computations lie in the polynomial-time complexity class, while all known algorithms for evaluating individual Feynman integrals are exponential in time and memory. To demonstrate the capabilities of the algorithm, we evaluate the primitive contribution to the $φ^4$ beta function at 50 loops with a proof-of-concept implementation.

We show that specific exponential bivariate integrals serve as generating functions of labeled edge-bicolored graphs. Based on this, we prove an asymptotic formula for the number of regular edge-bicolored graphs with arbitrary weights assigned to different vertex structures. The asymptotic behavior is governed by the critical points of a polynomial. As an application, we discuss the Ising model on a random 4-regular graph and show how its phase transitions arise from our formula.

We give a novel combinatorial interpretation to the perturbative series solutions for a class of Dyson-Schwinger equations. We show how binary tubings of rooted trees with labels from an alphabet on the tubes, and where the labels satisfy certain compatibility constraints, can be used to give series solutions to Dyson-Schwinger equations with a single Mellin transform which is the reciprocal of a polynomial with rational roots, in a fully combinatorial way. Further, the structure of these tubings leads directly to systems of differential equations for the anomalous dimension that are ideally suited for resurgent analysis. We give a general result in the distinct root case, and investigate the effect of repeated roots, which drastically changes the asymptotics and the transseries structure.
On the Euler characteristic of the commutative graph complex and the top weight cohomology of $\mathcal M_g$
We prove an asymptotic formula for the Euler characteristic of Kontsevich's commutative graph complex. This formula implies that the total amount of commutative graph homology grows super-exponentially with the rank and, via a theorem of Chan, Galatius, and Payne, that the dimension of the top weight cohomology of the moduli space of curves, $\mathcal M_g$, grows super-exponentially with the genus $g$.

This paper explains how to use quantum field theory techniques to find formal power series that encode the virtual Euler characteristics of $\mathrm{Out}(F_n)$ and related graph complexes. Finding such power series was a necessary step in the asymptotic analysis of $χ(\mathrm{Out}(F_n))$ carried out in the authors' previous paper.

This thesis provides an extension of the work of Dirk Kreimer and Alain Connes on the Hopf algebra structure of Feynman graphs and renormalization to general graphs. Additionally, an algebraic structure of the asymptotics of formal power series with factorial growth, which is compatible with the Hopf algebraic structure, is introduced.
The Hopf algebraic structure on graphs permits the explicit enumeration of graphs with constraints for the allowed subgraphs. In the case of Feynman diagrams a lattice structure, which will be introduced, exposes additional unique properties for physical quantum field theories. The differential ring of factorially divergent power series allows the extraction of asymptotic results of implicitly defined power series with vanishing radius of convergence. Together both structures provide an algebraic formulation of large graphs with constraints on the allowed subgraphs. These structures are motivated by and used to analyze renormalized zero-dimensional quantum field theory at high orders in perturbation theory.
As a pure application of the Hopf algebra structure, an Hopf algebraic interpretation of the Legendre transformation in quantum field theory is given. The differential ring of factorially divergent power series will be used to solve two asymptotic counting problems from combinatorics: The asymptotic number of connected chord diagrams and the number of simple permutations. For both asymptotic solutions, all order asymptotic expansions are provided as generating functions in closed form. Both structures are combined in an application to zero-dimensional quantum field theory. Various quantities are explicitly given asymptotically in the zero-dimensional version of $\varphi^3$, $\varphi^4$, QED, quenched QED and Yukawa theory with their all order asymptotic expansions.

A method to obtain all-order asymptotic results for the coefficients of perturbative expansions in zero-dimensional quantum field is described. The focus is on the enumeration of the number of skeleton or primitive diagrams of a certain QFT and its asymptotics. The procedure heavily applies techniques from singularity analysis and is related to resurgence. To utilize singularity analysis, a representation of the zero-dimensional path integral as a generalized hyperelliptic curve is deduced. As applications the full asymptotic expansions of the number of disconnected, connected, 1PI and skeleton Feynman diagrams in various theories are given.

The algebraic properties of formal power series, whose coefficients show factorial growth and admit a certain well-behaved asymptotic expansion, are discussed. It is shown that these series form a subring of $\mathbb{R}[[x]]$. This subring is also closed under composition and inversion of power series. An 'asymptotic derivation' is defined which maps a power series to the asymptotic expansion of its coefficients. Product and chain rules for this derivation are deduced. With these rules asymptotic expansions of the coefficients of implicitly defined power series can be obtained. The full asymptotic expansions of the number of connected chord diagrams and the number of simple permutations are given as examples.
