The diameter and dominating sets of the difference graph of a nilpotent group
Given a finite group $G$, the difference graph of $G$, denoted by $\mathcal{D}(G)$, is the difference of the enhanced power graph of $G$ and the power graph of $G$, with all isolated vertices removed. This paper mainly studies the dominating sets of the difference graph of a finite group. In particular, we prove that the diameter of the difference graph of a nilpotent group has an upper bound of $4$. Furthermore, we generalize and refine the result by Biswas et al. by classifying all nilpotent groups whose difference graph has diameter $k$, for each $k\le 4$.
Difference graphs of finite abelian groups with two Sylow subgroups
The power graph and the enhanced power graph of a group $\mathbf G$ are simple graphs with vertex set $G$; two elements of $G$ are adjacent in the power graph if one of them is a power of the other, and they are adjacent in the enhanced power graph if they generate a cyclic subgroup. The difference graph of a group $\mathbf G$, denoted by $\mathcal D(\mathbf G)$, is the difference of the enhanced power graph and the power graph of group $\mathbf G$ with all the isolated vertices removed. In this paper, we prove that, if a pair of finite abelian groups of order divisible by at most two primes have isomorphic difference graphs, then they are isomorphic.

The directed power graph $\vec{\mathcal G}(\mathbf G)$ of a group $\mathbf G$ is the simple digraph with vertex set $G$ such that $x\rightarrow y$ if $y$ is a power of $x$. The power graph $\mathcal G(\mathbf G)$ of the group $\mathbf G$ is the underlying simple graph.
In this paper, we prove that Prüfer group is the only nilpotent group whose power graph does not determine the directed power graph up to isomorphism. Also, we present a group $\mathbf G$ with quasicyclic torsion subgroup that is determined by its power graph up to isomorphism, i.e. such that $\mathcal G(\mathbf H)\cong\mathcal G(\mathbf G)$ implies $\mathbf H\cong \mathbf G$ for any group $\mathbf H$.

The enhanced power graph of a group is the simple graph whose vertex set is consisted of all elements of the group, and whose any pair of vertices are adjacent if they generate a cyclic subgroup. In this paper, we classify all finite groups whose enhanced power graphs are split and threshold. We also classify all finite nilpotent groups whose enhanced power graphs are chordal graphs and cographs. Finally, we give some families of non-nilpotent groups whose enhanced power graphs are chordal graphs and cographs. These results partly answer a question posed by Peter J. Cameron.
Some New Results Concerning Power Graphs and Enhanced Power Graphs of Groups
The directed power graph $\vec{\mathcal P}(\mathbf G)$ of a group $\mathbf G$ is the simple digraph with vertex set $G$ such that $x\rightarrow y$ if $y$ is a power of $x$. The power graph of $\mathbf G$, denoted by $\mathcal P(\mathbf G)$, is the underlying simple graph. The enhanced power graph $\mathcal P_e(\mathbf G)$ of $\mathbf G$ is the simple graph with vertex set $G$ in which two elements are adjacent if they generate a cyclic subgroup.
In this paper, it is proven that, if two groups have isomorphic power graphs, then they have isomorphic enhanced power graphs, too. It is known that any finite nilpotent group of order divisible by at most two primes has perfect enhanced power graph. We investigated whether the same holds for all finite groups, and we have obtained a negative answer to that question. Further, we proved that, for any $n\geq 0$ and prime numbers $p$ and $q$, every group of order $p^nq$ and $p^2q^2$ has perfect enhanced power graph. We also give a complete characterization of symmetric and alternative groups with perfect enhanced graphs.
The Power Graph of a Torsion-Free Group Determines the Directed Power Graph
The directed power graph $\vec{\mathcal G}(\mathbf G)$ of a group $\mathbf G$ is the simple digraph with vertex set $G$ such that $x\rightarrow y$ if $y$ is a power of $x$. The power graph of $\mathbf G$, denoted with $\mathcal G(\mathbf G)$, is the underlying simple graph.
In this paper, for groups $\mathbf G$ and $\mathbf H$, the following is proved. If $\mathbf G$ has no quasicyclic subgroup $\mathbf C_{p^\infty}$ which has trivial intersection with every cyclic subgroup $\mathbf K$ of $\mathbf G$ such that $\mathbf K\not\leq\mathbf C_{p^\infty}$, then $\mathcal G(\mathbf G)\cong \mathcal G(\mathbf H)$ implies $\vec{\mathcal G}(\mathbf G)\cong \vec{\mathcal G}(\mathbf H)$. Consequently, any two torsion-free groups having isomorphic power graphs have isomorphic directed power graphs.
The Power Graph of a Torsion-Free Group of Nilpotency Class $2$
The directed power graph $\mathcal G(\mathbf G)$ of a group $\mathbf G$ is the simple digraph with vertex set $G$ in which $x\rightarrow y$ if $y$ is a power of $x$, the power graph is the underlying simple graph, and the enhanced power graph of $\mathbf G$ is the simple graph with the same vertex set such that two vertices are adjacent if they are powers of some element of $\mathbf G$.
In this paper three versions of the definition of the power graphs are discussed, and it is proved that the power graph by any of the three versions of the definitions determines the other two up to isomorphism. It is also proved that, if $\mathbf G$ is a torsion-free group of nilpotency class $2$ and if $\mathbf H$ is a group such that $\mathcal G(\mathbf H)\cong\mathcal G(\mathbf G)$, then $\mathbf G$ and $\mathbf H$ have isomorphic directed power graphs, which was an open problem proposed by Cameron, Guerra and Jurina.
Enhanced Power Graphs of Finite Groups
The enhanced power graph $\mathcal G_e(\mathbf G)$ of a group $\mathbf G$ is the graph with vertex set $G$ such that two vertices $x$ and $y$ are adjacent if they are contained in a same cyclic subgroup. We prove that finite groups with isomorphic enhanced power graphs have isomorphic directed power graphs. We show that any isomorphism between power graphs of finite groups is an isomorhism between enhanced power graphs of these groups, and we find all finite groups $\mathbf G$ for which $\mathrm{Aut}(\mathcal G_e(\mathbf G)$ is abelian, all finite groups $\mathbf G$ with $\lvert\mathrm{Aut}(\mathcal G_e(\mathbf G)\rvert$ being prime power, and all finite groups $\mathbf G$ with $\lvert\mathrm{Aut}(\mathcal G_e(\mathbf G)\rvert$ being square free. Also we describe enhanced power graphs of finite abelian groups. Finally, we give a characterization of finite nilpotent groups whose enhanced power graphs are perfect, and we present a sufficient condition for a finite group to have weakly perfect enhanced power graph.
