Signs of Hamiltonian Circles in Simple Plane Signed Graphs
We study which signs can occur among Hamiltonian circles in simple plane signed graphs. Using a face-based viewpoint, we relate the sign of a Hamiltonian circle to the product of the signs of the faces inside it, and we introduce co-Hamiltonian sequences. This yields a criterion for the existence of opposite-sign Hamiltonian circles via two co-Hamiltonian sequences with opposite face-products. Motivated by signed grid graphs, we develop local structural theorems that allow one to certify the existence of both signs without explicitly constructing the full sequences, including a ladder-type configuration where toggling along two $4$-circles produces Hamiltonian circles of opposite sign, as well as hexagon configurations that realize both signs.
Realization and classification of Hamiltonian-circle multisigns
We investigate the multisigns of Hamiltonian circles in the multisigned complete graph \(Σ_n := (K_n, σ, \mathbb{F}_2^m)\). The \emph{multisign} of a circle \(C\) is defined as the sum \[ σ(C) := \sum_{e \in E(C)} σ(e). \] For a fixed \(m\) and sufficiently large \(n\), we show that the set of multisigns of Hamiltonian circles \[ \{σ(H) : H \text{ is a Hamiltonian circle of } Σ_n)\} \] forms either a subspace, an affine subspace, or the entire space \(\mathbb{F}_2^m\), except in certain exceptional cases.
Double signs of Hamiltonian circles in doubly signed complete graphs
We study Hamiltonian circles in the doubly signed complete graph $Σ_n = (K_n, σ, \mathbb{F}_2^2)$. A circle's double sign is defined as the sum of its edge labels. I establish conditions under which Hamiltonian circles realize all four possible double signs and prove that this occurs when the set of triangle double signs contains at least three distinct values. The proof is based on an analysis of triangle bases of the binary cycle space, structural properties of $K_4$ subgraphs, and explicit Hamiltonian constructions.
Hamiltonian Cycles in Signed and Multisigned Complete Graphs
A signed complete graph contains both positive and negative Hamiltonian cycles if and only if it also contains both positive and negative triangles. Otherwise, all Hamiltonian cycles are negative if and only if all triangles are negative and n is odd, while all Hamiltonian cycles are positive if and only if all triangles are negative and n is even, or all triangles are positive. Extending these results to multisigned complete graphs, we prove that such a graph contains at least two Hamiltonian cycles with different multisigns if and only if it contains at least two triangles with different multisigns.
