Three Theorems on Negami's Planar Cover Conjecture
A long-standing Conjecture of S. Negami states that a connected graph has a finite planar cover if and only if it embeds in the projective plane. It is known that the Conjecture is equivalent to the fact that \emph{the graph $K_{1,2, 2, 2}$ has no finite planar cover}. We prove three theorems showing that the graph $K_{1,2, 2, 2}$ admits no planar cover with certain structural properties, and that the minimal planar cover of $K_{1,2, 2, 2}$ (if it exists) must be $4$-connected.
$K_{1,2,2,2}$ has no $n$-fold planar cover graph for $n<14$
S. Negami conjectured in $1988$ that a connected graph has a finite planar cover if and only if it embeds in the projective plane. It follows from the works of D. Archdeacon, M. Fellows, P. Hliněný, and S. Negami that this conjecture is true if the graph $K_{1, 2, 2, 2}$ has no finite planar cover. We prove a number of structural results about putative finite planar covers of $K_{1,2,2,2}$ that may be of independent interest. We then apply these results to prove that $K_{1, 2, 2, 2}$ has no planar cover of fold number less than $14$.
On triangular biregular degree sequences
A simple graph is called triangular if every edge of it belongs to a triangle. We conjecture that any graphical degree sequence all terms of which are greater than or equal to 4 has a triangular realisation, and establish this conjecture for a class of biregular graphical degree sequences.
Bad drawings of small complete graphs
We show that for $K_5$ (resp.~ $K_{3,3}$) there is a drawing with $i$ independent crossings, and no pair of independent edges cross more than once, provided $i$ is odd with $1\le i\le 15$ (resp.~ $1\le i\le 17$). Conversely, using the deleted product cohomology, we show that for $K_5$ and $K_{3,3}$, if $A$ is any set of pairs of independent edges, and $A$ has odd cardinality, then there is a drawing in the plane for which each element in $A$ cross an odd number of times, while each pair of independent edges not in $A$ cross an even number of times. For $K_6$ we show that there is a drawing with $i$ independent crossings, and no pair of independent edges cross more than once, if and only if $3\le i\le 40$.

A pair of sequences of natural numbers is called planar if there exists a simple, bipartite, planar graph for which the given sequences are the degree sequences of its parts. For a pair to be planar, the sums of the sequences have to be equal and Euler's inequality must be satisfied. Pairs that verify these two necessary conditions are called Eulerian. We prove that a pair of constant sequences is planar if and only if it is Eulerian (such pairs can be easily listed) and is different from $(3^5 \, | \, 3^5)$ and $(3^{25} \, | \, 5^{15})$.

A thrackle is a drawing of a graph in which each pair of edges meets precisely once. Conway's Thrackle Conjecture asserts that a thrackle drawing of a graph on the plane cannot have more edges than vertices. We prove the Conjecture for thrackle drawings all of whose vertices lie on the boundaries of $d \le 3$ connected domains in the complement of the drawing. We also give a detailed description of thrackle drawings corresponding to the cases when $d=2$ (annular thrackles) and $d=3$ (pants thrackles).
Thrackles containing a standard musquash
A thrackle is a drawing of a graph in which each pair of edges meets precisely once. Conway's Thrackle Conjecture asserts that a planar thrackle drawing of a graph cannot have more edges than vertices, which is equivalent to saying that no connected component of the graph contains more than one cycle. We prove that a thrackle drawing containing a standard musquash (standard $n$-gonal thrackle) cannot contain any other cycle of length three or five.

We present a sufficient condition for a pair of finite integer sequences to be degree sequences of a bipartite graph, based only on the lengths of the sequences and their largest and smallest elements.

We establish Conway's thrackle conjecture in the case of spherical thrackles; that is, for drawings on the unit sphere where the edges are arcs of great circles.
A sharp refinement of a result of Alon, Ben-Shimon and Krivelevich on bipartite graph vertex sequences
We give a sharp refinement of a result of Alon, Ben-Shimon and Krivelevich. This gives a sufficient condition for a finite sequence of positive integers to be the vertex degree list of both parts of a bipartite graph. The condition depends only on the length of the sequence and its largest and smallest elements.

For a finite sequence of positive integers to be the degree sequence of a finite graph, Zverovich and Zverovich gave a sufficient condition involving only the length of the sequence, its maximal element and its minimal element. In this paper we give a sharp refinement of Zverovich--Zverovich's result.
