The step Sidorenko property and non-norming edge-transitive graphs
Sidorenko's Conjecture asserts that every bipartite graph H has the Sidorenko property, i.e., a quasirandom graph minimizes the density of H among all graphs with the same edge density. We study a stronger property, which requires that a quasirandom multipartite graph minimizes the density of H among all graphs with the same edge densities between its parts; this property is called the step Sidorenko property. We show that many bipartite graphs fail to have the step Sidorenko property and use our results to show the existence of a bipartite edge-transitive graph that is not weakly norming; this answers a question of Hatami [Israel J. Math. 175 (2010), 125-150].

We employ the absorbing-path method in order to prove two results regarding the emergence of tight Hamilton cycles in the so called {\em two-path} or {\em cherry}-quasirandom $3$-graphs.
Our first result asserts that for any fixed real $α>0$, cherry-quasirandom $3$-graphs of sufficiently large order $n$ having minimum $2$-degree at least $α(n-2)$ have a tight Hamilton cycle.
Our second result concerns the minimum $1$-degree sufficient for such $3$-graphs to have a tight Hamilton cycle. Roughly speaking, we prove that for every $d,α>0$ satisfying $d + α>1$, any sufficiently large $n$-vertex such $3$-graph $H$ of density $d$ and minimum $1$-degree at least $α\binom{n-1}{2}$, has a tight Hamilton cycle.

An $n$-vertex graph $G$ of edge density $p$ is considered to be quasirandom if it shares several important properties with the random graph $G(n,p)$. A well-known theorem of Chung, Graham and Wilson states that many such `typical' properties are asymptotically equivalent and, thus, a graph $G$ possessing one such property automatically satisfies the others.
In recent years, work in this area has focused on uncovering more quasirandom graph properties and on extending the known results to other discrete structures. In the context of hypergraphs, however, one may consider several different notions of quasirandomness. A complete description of these notions has been provided recently by Towsner, who proved several central equivalences using an analytic framework. We give short and purely combinatorial proofs of the main equivalences in Towsner's result.

We study forcing pairs for quasirandom graphs. Chung, Graham, and Wilson initiated the study of families $\\mathcal F$ of graphs with the property that if a large graph $G$ has approximately homomorphism density $p^{e(F)}$ for some fixed $p\in(0,1]$ for every $F\in \mathcal F$, then $G$ is quasirandom with density $p$. Such families $\mathcal F$ are said to be forcing. Several forcing families were found over the last three decades and characterising all bipartite graphs $F$ such that $(K_2,F)$ is a forcing pair is a well-known open problem in the area of quasirandom graphs, which is closely related to Sidorenko's conjecture. In fact, most of the known forcing families involve bipartite graphs only.
We consider forcing pairs containing the triangle $K_3$. In particular, we show that if $(K_2,F)$ is a forcing pair, then so is $(K_3,F')$, where $F'$ is obtained from $F$ by replacing every edge of $F$ by a triangle (each of which introduces a new vertex). For the proof we first show that $(K_3,C'_4)$ is a forcing pair, which strengthens related results of Simonovits and Sós and of Conlon et al.

We give estimates on the number of combinatorial designs, which prove (and generalise) a conjecture of Wilson from 1974 on the number of Steiner Triple Systems. This paper also serves as an expository treatment of our recently developed method of Randomised Algebraic Construction: we give a simpler proof of a special case of our result on clique decompositions of hypergraphs, namely triangle decompositions of quasirandom graphs.
On the graph limit question of Vera T. Sós
In the dense graph limit theory, the topology of the set of graphs is defined by the distribution of the subgraphs spanned by finite number of random vertices. Vera T. Sós proposed a question that if we consider only the number of edges in the spanned subgraphs, then whether it provides an equivalent definition. We show that the answer is positive on quasirandom graphs, and we prove a generalization of the statement.

Motivated by longstanding conjectures regarding decompositions of graphs into paths and cycles, we prove the following optimal decomposition results for random graphs. Let $0<p<1$ be constant and let $G\sim G_{n,p}$. Let $odd(G)$ be the number of odd degree vertices in $G$. Then a.a.s. the following hold:
(i) $G$ can be decomposed into $\lfloorΔ(G)/2\rfloor$ cycles and a matching of size $odd(G)/2$.
(ii) $G$ can be decomposed into $\max\{odd(G)/2,\lceilΔ(G)/2\rceil\}$ paths.
(iii) $G$ can be decomposed into $\lceilΔ(G)/2\rceil$ linear forests.
Each of these bounds is best possible. We actually derive (i)--(iii) from `quasirandom' versions of our results. In that context, we also determine the edge chromatic number of a given dense quasirandom graph of even order. For all these results, our main tool is a result on Hamilton decompositions of robust expanders by Kühn and Osthus.

For each of the notions of hypergraph quasirandomness that have been studied, we identify a large class of hypergraphs F so that every quasirandom hypergraph H admits a perfect F-packing. An informal statement of a special case of our general result for 3-uniform hypergraphs is as follows. Fix an integer r >= 4 and 0<p<1. Suppose that H is an n-vertex triple system with r|n and the following two properties:
* for every graph G with V(G)=V(H), at least p proportion of the triangles in G are also edges of H,
* for every vertex x of H, the link graph of x is a quasirandom graph with density at least p.
Then H has a perfect $K_r^{(3)}$-packing. Moreover, we show that neither hypotheses above can be weakened, so in this sense our result is tight. A similar conclusion for this special case can be proved by Keevash's hypergraph blowup lemma, with a slightly stronger hypothesis on H.
Completions of epsilon-dense partial Latin squares; quasirandom k-colorings of graphs
A classical question in combinatorics is the following:\ given a partial Latin square $P$, when can we complete $P$ to a Latin square $L$? In this paper, we investigate the class of \textbf{$ε$-dense partial Latin squares}:\ partial Latin squares in which each symbol, row, and column contains no more than $εn$-many nonblank cells. Based on a conjecture of Nash-Williams, Daykin and Häggkvist conjectured that all $\frac{1}{4}$-dense partial Latin squares are completable. In this paper, we will discuss the proof methods and results used in previous attempts to resolve this conjecture, introduce a novel technique derived from a paper by Jacobson and Matthews on generating random Latin squares, and use this novel technique to study $ ε$-dense partial Latin squares that contain no more than $δn^2$ filled cells in total.
In particular, we construct completions for all $ ε$-dense partial Latin squares containing no more than $δn^2$ filled cells in total, given that $ε< \frac{1}{12}, δ< \frac{ \left(1-12ε\right)^{2}}{10409}$. In particular, we show that all $9.8 \cdot 10^{-5}$-dense partial Latin squares are completable.
We further show that such completions can always be found in polynomial time. This contrasts a result of Colbourn. In Chapter 3, we strengthen Colbourn's result to the claim that completing an arbitrary $\left(\frac{1}{2} + ε\right)$-dense partial Latin square is NP-complete, for any $ε> 0$.
Additional results on triangulations of graphs are found.
In an unrelated vein, Chapter 6 explores the class of quasirandom graphs. In specific, we study quasirandom $k$-edge colorings, and create an analogue of Chung, Graham and Wilson's well-known results for such colorings.

Let G be a quasirandom graph on n vertices, and let W be a random walk on G of length alpha n^2. Must the set of edges traversed by W form a quasirandom graph? This question was asked by Böttcher, Hladký, Piguet and Taraz. Our aim in this paper is to give a positive answer to this question. We also prove a similar result for random embeddings of trees.
The Poset of Hypergraph Quasirandomness

Chung and Graham began the systematic study of k-uniform hypergraph quasirandom properties soon after the foundational results of Thomason and Chung-Graham-Wilson on quasirandom graphs. One feature that became apparent in the early work on k-uniform hypergraph quasirandomness is that properties that are equivalent for graphs are not equivalent for hypergraphs, and thus hypergraphs enjoy a variety of inequivalent quasirandom properties. In the past two decades, there has been an intensive study of these disparate notions of quasirandomness for hypergraphs, and an open problem that has emerged is to determine the relationship between them.
Our main result is to determine the poset of implications between these quasirandom properties. This answers a recent question of Chung and continues a project begun by Chung and Graham in their first paper on hypergraph quasirandomness in the early 1990's.

We generalize the notion of quasirandom which concerns a class of equivalent properties that random graphs satisfy. We show that the convergence of a graph sequence under the spectral distance is equivalent to the convergence using the (normalized) cut distance. The resulting graph limit is called graphlets. We then consider several families of graphlets and, in particular, we characterize graphlets with low ranks for both dense and sparse graphs.
