Affine hyperplane arrangements at finite distance
We study the relative homology group of an affine hyperplane arrangement and its Poincaré dual, the cohomology at finite distance of the complement. We give an Orlik--Solomon-type description of the latter, and identify it with the vector space of logarithmic forms having vanishing residues at infinity. To this end, we introduce a partial version of wonderful compactifications, which could be relevant in other contexts where blow-ups only occur at infinity. Finally, we show that the cohomology at finite distance coincides with the vector space of canonical forms in the sense of positive geometry.

We investigate Mellin integrals of products of hyperplanes, raised to an individual power each. We refer to the resulting functions as combinatorial correlators. We investigate their behavior when moving the hyperplanes individually. To encode these functions as holonomic functions in the constant terms of the hyperplanes, we aim to construct a holonomic annihilating $D$-ideal purely in terms of the hyperplane arrangement.
Spinor-Helicity Varieties
The spinor-helicity formalism in particle physics gives rise to natural subvarieties in the product of two Grassmannians. These include two-step flag varieties for subspaces of complementary dimension. Taking Hadamard products leads to Mandelstam varieties. We study these varieties through the lens of combinatorics and commutative algebra, and we explore their tropicalization, positive geometry, and scattering correspondence.
Minimal Kinematics on $\mathcal{M}_{0,n}$
Minimal kinematics identifies likelihood degenerations where the critical points are given by rational formulas. These rest on the Horn uniformization of Kapranov-Huh. We characterize all choices of minimal kinematics on the moduli space $\mathcal{M}_{0,n}$. These choices are motivated by the CHY model in physics and they are represented combinatorially by 2-trees. We compute 2-tree amplitudes, and we explore extensions to non-planar on-shell diagrams, here identified with the hypertrees of Castravet-Tevelev.
