We show that the big Ramsey degrees of every countable universal $u$-uniform $ω$-edge-labeled hypergraph are infinite for every $u\geq 2$. Together with a recent result of Braunfeld, Chodounský, de Rancourt, Hubička, Kawach, and Konečný this finishes full characterisation of unrestricted relational structures with finite big Ramsey degrees.
Oscillating subalgebras of the atomless countable Boolean algebra
We show that the big Ramsey degree of the Boolean algebra with 3 atoms within the countable atomless Boolean algebra is infinite.

Big Ramsey degrees of Fraïssé limits of finitely constrained free amalgamation classes in finite binary languages have been recently fully characterised by Balko, Chodounský, Dobrinen, Hubička, Konečný, Vena, and Zucker. A special case of this characterisation is the universal homogeneous $K_4$-free graph. We give a self-contained and relatively compact presentation of this case and compute the actual big Ramsey degrees of small graphs.

In recent years, there has been much progress in the field of structural Ramsey theory, in particular in the study of big Ramsey degrees. In all known examples of infinite structures with finite big Ramsey degrees, there is in fact a single expansion of the structure, called a big Ramsey structure, which correctly encodes the exact big Ramsey degrees of every finite substructure simultaneously. The first half of the article collects facts about this phenomenon that have appeared in the literature into a single cohesive framework, thus offering a conceptual survey of big Ramsey structures. We present some original results indicating that the standard methods of proving finite big Ramsey degrees automatically yield big Ramsey structures, often with desirable extra properties. The second half of the article is a survey in the more traditional sense, discussing numerous examples from the literature and showing how they fit into our framework. We also present some general results on how big Ramsey degrees are affected by expanding structures with unary functions.
Ramsey theorem for trees with successor operation
We prove a general Ramsey theorem for trees with a successor operation. This theorem is a common generalization of the Carlson-Simpson Theorem and the Milliken Tree Theorem for regularly branching trees.
Our theorem has a number of applications both in finite and infinite combinatorics. For example, we give a short proof of the unrestricted Nešetřil-Rödl theorem, and we recover the Graham-Rothschild theorem. Our original motivation came from the study of big Ramsey degrees - various trees used in the study can be viewed as trees with a successor operation. To illustrate this, we give a non-forcing proof of a theorem of Zucker on big Ramsey degrees.
Type-respecting amalgamation and big Ramsey degrees
We give an infinitary extension of the Nešetřil-Rödl theorem for category of relational structures with special type-respecting embeddings.
Characterisation of the big Ramsey degrees of the generic partial order
As a result of 33 intercontinental Zoom calls, we characterise big Ramsey degrees of the generic partial order. This is an infinitary extension of the well known fact that finite partial orders endowed with linear extensions form a Ramsey class (this result was announced by Nešetřil and Rödl in 1984 with first published proof by Paoli, Trotter and Walker in 1985). Towards this, we refine earlier upper bounds obtained by Hubička based on a new connection of big Ramsey degrees to the Carlson-Simpson theorem and we also introduce a new technique of giving lower bounds using an iterated application of the upper-bound theorem.
Infinite-dimensional Ramsey theory for binary free amalgamation classes
We develop infinite-dimensional Ramsey theory for Fraïssé limits of finitely constrained free amalgamation classes in finite binary languages. We show that our approach is optimal and in particular, recovers the exact big Ramsey degrees proved in [2] for these structures. A crucial step in the work develops the new notion of an A.3(2)-ideal and shows that Todorcevic's Abstract Ramsey Theorem holds when Axiom A.3(2) is replaced by the weaker assumption of an A.3(2)-ideal.

The Halpern-Läuchli theorem, a combinatorial result about trees, admits an elegant proof due to Harrington using ideas from forcing. In an attempt to distill the combinatorial essence of this proof, we isolate various partition principles about products of perfect Polish spaces. These principles yield straightforward proofs of the Halpern-Läuchli theorem, and the same forcing from Harrington's proof can force their consistency. We also show that these principles are not ZFC theorems by showing that they put lower bounds on the size of the continuum.

We characterize the big Ramsey degrees of free amalgamation classes in finite binary languages defined by finitely many forbidden irreducible substructures, thus refining the recent upper bounds given by Zucker. Using this characterization, we show that the Fraïssé limit of each such class admits a strong big Ramsey structure, implying that the automorphism group of the Fraïssé limit has a metrizable universal completion flow.

As a result of 33 intercontinental Zoom calls, we characterise big Ramsey degrees of the generic partial order in a similar way as Devlin characterised big Ramsey degrees of the generic linear order (the order of rationals).

Generalizing and simplifying recent work of Dobrinen, we show that if $\mathcal{L}$ is a finite binary relational language and $\mathcal{F}$ is a finite set of finite irreducible $\mathcal{L}$-structures, then the class $\mathcal{K} = \mathrm{Forb}(\mathcal{F})$ has finite big Ramsey degrees.
Topological dynamics of Polish group extensions
We consider a short exact sequence $1\to H\to G\to K\to 1$ of Polish groups and consider what can be deduced about the dynamics of $G$ given information about the dynamics of $H$ and $K$. We prove that if the respective universal minimal flows $M(H)$ and $M(K)$ are metrizable, then so is $M(G)$. Furthermore, we show that if $M(H)$ and $M(K)$ are metrizable and both $H$ and $K$ are uniquely ergodic, then so is $G$. We then discuss several examples of these phenomena

We consider Fraïssé structures whose objects have finite big Ramsey degree and ask what consequences this has for the dynamics of the automorphism group. Motivated by a theorem of D. Devlin about the partition properties of the rationals, we define the notion of a big Ramsey structure, a single structure which codes the big Ramsey degrees of a given Fraïssé structure. This in turn leads to the definition of a completion flow; we show that if a Fraïssé structure admits a big Ramsey structure, then the automorphism group admits a unique universal completion flow. We also discuss the problem of when big Ramsey structures exist and explore connections to the notion of oscillation stability defined by Kechris, Pestov, and Todorčević

We define and undertake a systematic study of thick, syndetic, and piecewise syndetic subsets of a Fraïssé structure. Each of these collections forms a family in the sense of Akin and Glasner [AG], and we define and study ultrafilters on each of these families, paying special attention to ultrafilters on the thick sets. In the process, we generalize many results of Bergelson, Hindman, and McCutcheon [BHM]. We also discuss some abstract questions about families implicit in the work of Akin and Glasner.
Topological Dynamics of Closed Subgroups of $S_\infty$
For $G$ a closed subgroup of $S_{\infty}$, we provide an explicit characterization of the greatest $G$-ambit. Using this, we provide a precise characterization of when $G$ has metrizable universal minimal flow. In particular, each such instance fits into the framework of metrizable flows developed by Kechris-Pestov-Todorcevic and Nguyen Van Thé; as a consequence, each $G$ with metrizable universal minimal flow has the generic point property.

In this paper we provide a necessary and sufficient condition for the amenability of the automorphism group of Fraïssé structures and apply it to prove the non-amenability of the automorphism groups of the directed graph $\mathbf{S}(3)$ and the Boron tree structure $\mathbf{T}$. Also, we provide a negative answer to the Unique Ergodicity-Generic Point problem of Angel-Kechris-Lyons [AKL]. By considering $\mathrm{GL}(\mathbf{V}_\infty)$, where $\mathbf{V}_\infty$ is the countably infinite dimensional vector space over a finite field $F_q$, we show that the unique invariant measure on the universal minimal flow of $\mathrm{GL}(\mathbf{V}_\infty)$ is not supported on the generic orbit.
