On a class of transformations of sequences of complex numbers
In this paper we consider a transformation $L_a$ of sequences of complex numbers. We find the inverse transformation of $L_a$ as well as the inverse of a related transformation $\tilde{L}_a$. We explore a connection to the binomial transform and significantly generalize a previously known result. We also obtain new relations among many classical hypergeometric orthogonal polynomials as well as new formulas for sums involving terminating hypergeometric series.
A relation for a class of Racah polynomials
In this paper we derive a relation for a class of Racah polynomials that appear in a conjecture of Kresch and Tamvakis. The relation follows from an inversion formula for a transformation of a discrete sequence of complex numbers $\{ x_n \}_{n=0}^{\infty}$. As a result of our inversion formula, we also obtain other combinatorial identities.

We investigate sums $K(\vec{x})$ and $L(\vec{x})$ of pairs of (suitably normalized) Saalschützian ${}_4F_3(1)$ hypergeometric series, and develop a theory of relations among these $K$ and $L$ functions.
The function $L(\vec{x})$ has been studied extensively in the literature, and has been shown to satisfy a number of two-term and three-term relations with respect to the variable $\vec{x}$. More recent works have framed these relations in terms of Coxeter group actions on $\vec{x}$, and have developed a similar theory of two-term and three-term relations for $K(\vec{x})$.
In this article, we derive "mixed" three-term relations, wherein any one of the $L$ (respectively, $K$) functions arising in the above context may be expressed as a linear combination of two of the above $K$ (respectively, $L$) functions. We show that, under the appropriate Coxeter group action, the resulting set of three-term relations (mixed and otherwise) among $K$ and $L$ functions partitions into eighteen orbits. We provide an explicit example of a relation from each orbit.
We further classify the eighteen orbits into five types, with each type uniquely determined by the distances (under a certain natural metric) between the $K$ and $L$ functions in the relation. We show that the type of a relation dictates the complexity (in terms of both number of summands and number of factors in each summand) of the coefficients of the $K$ and $L$ functions therein.
Coxeter group actions on Saalschützian ${}_4F_3(1)$ series and very-well-poised ${}_7F_6(1)$ series
In this paper we consider a function $L(\vec{x})=L(a,b,c,d;e;f,g)$, which can be written as a linear combination of two Saalschützian ${}_4F_3(1)$ hypergeometric series or as a very-well-poised ${}_7F_6(1)$ hypergeometric series. We explore two-term and three-term relations satisfied by the $L$ function and put them in the framework of group theory.
We prove a fundamental two-term relation satisfied by the $L$ function and show that this relation implies that the Coxeter group $W(D_5)$, which has 1920 elements, is an invariance group for $L(\vec{x})$. The invariance relations for $L(\vec{x})$ are classified into six types based on a double coset decomposition of the invariance group. The fundamental two-term relation is shown to generalize classical results about hypergeometric series. We derive Thomae's identity for ${}_3F_2(1)$ series, Bailey's identity for terminating Saalschützian ${}_4F_3(1)$ series, and Barnes' second lemma as consequences.
We further explore three-term relations satisfied by $L(a,b,c,d;e;f,g)$. The group that governs the three-term relations is shown to be isomorphic to the Coxeter group $W(D_6)$, which has 23040 elements. Based on the right cosets of $W(D_5)$ in $W(D_6)$, we demonstrate the existence of 220 three-term relations satisfied by the $L$ function that fall into two families according to the notion of $L$-coherence.
