The web of reflexive polygons is connected
We discuss the problem on the connectedness of various webs of lattice polytopes by introducing a geometric point of view from the toric Mori theory. To this end, we provide a combinatorial description of toric Sarkisov links in terms of certain sets of lattice points, which we call primitive generating sets. In two dimensions, the description is further translated into the language of lattice polygons. As an application, we prove in two ways (constructive and non-constructive) that reflexive or terminal polygons form a single connected web via inclusion relations even without taking modulo unimodular equivalences.
Complete intersection Calabi--Yau threefolds in Hibi toric varieties and their smoothing
In this article, we summarize combinatorial description of complete intersection Calabi-Yau threefolds in Hibi toric varieties. Such Calabi-Yau threefolds have at worst conifold singularities, and are often smoothable to non-singular Calabi-Yau threefolds. We focus on such non-singular Calabi-Yau threefolds of Picard number one, and illustrate the calculation of topological invariants, using new motivating examples.

We consider smooth complete intersection Calabi-Yau 3-folds in minuscule Schubert varieties, and study their mirror symmetry by degenerating the ambient Schubert varieties to Hibi toric varieties. We list all possible Calabi-Yau 3-folds of this type up to deformation equivalences, and find a new example of smooth Calabi-Yau 3-folds of Picard number one; a complete intersection in a locally factorial Schubert variety ${\boldsymbolΣ}$ of the Cayley plane ${\mathbb{OP}}^2$. We calculate topological invariants and BPS numbers of this Calabi-Yau 3-fold and conjecture that it has a non-trivial Fourier-Mukai partner.
