Special Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystals
We give a uniform realization of Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystals $B^{r,s}$, in terms of PBW crystals, for all affine types, $s \geq 1$, and nodes $r$ in the orbit of the $0$ node in the Dynkin diagram. Our proof is almost uniform except we prove some technical lemmas by first proving the case when the $r$-th fundamental weight $Λ_r$ is minuscule by using properties of minuscule crystal and then extend this to the case when $Λ_r$ is cominuscule using virtual crystals.

Explicit description of certain 3-point K-theoretic Gromov-Witten invariants for flag manifolds
We give an explicit description, in terms of the quantum Bruhat graph, of the (torus-equivariant) 3-point, genus 0, $K$-theoretic Gromov-Witten invariants $\langle \mathcal{O}(- λ), \mathcal{O}^{w}, \mathcal{O}_{u} \rangle_{d}$ for the (full) flag manifold $X = G/B$, where $\mathcal{O}(- λ)$ denotes the class in the (torus-equivariant) $K$-theory ring $K_{T}(X)$ of $X$ of the line bundle $\mathcal{O}_{X}(- λ) = G \times_{B} \mathbb{C}_λ$ over $X = G/B$ associated to a weight $λ\in W \varpi_i$ lying in the Weyl group orbit of a minuscule fundamental weight $\varpi_i$, and $\mathcal{O}_{u}$, $\mathcal{O}^{w}$ are the Schubert and opposite Schubert classes in $K_{T}(X)$ for $u, w \in W$. This result can be thought of as a partial generalization of the quantum $K$-theoretic divisor axiom, which we obtained in our previous work; our proof utilizes a generalization of the Chevalley formula in the (torus-equivariant) quantum $K$-theory ring $QK_{T}(X)$ of $X$, which computes the quantum product with the line bundle class $\mathcal{O}(- λ)$ associated to the weight $λ$ above.

On the number of symmetric chain decompositions of the minuscule lattices $L(m,n)$ and $M(n)$
We study the problem of enumerating symmetric chain decompositions (SCDs) of the minuscule lattices $L(m,n)$ of partitions in an $m$ by $n$ box and $M(n)$ of partitions into distinct parts at most $n$. We shift the focus from constructing a single SCD to analyzing the global structure of the set of SCDs. Let $\#SCD(P)$ be the number of symmetric chain decompositions of $P$. We give an explicit formula for $\#SCD(L(2,n))$ based on inversion sets of permutations and conjecture that for fixed $m>1$ both $\#SCD(L(m,n))$ and $\#SCD(M(n))$ grow super-exponentially. These conjectures are supported by data produced by AlphaEvolve, an evolutionary coding agent from Google DeepMind, and are in the same vein as a recent paper of Tomon on the growth rate of $\#SCD$ for the Boolean lattice and hypergrid. We make connections with crystal bases and show that the Lusztig involution (evacuation) extends to an involution on SCDs, which we use to show that $\#SCD(M(n))$ is even for $n>2$. We use skew tableaux sequences, which are equivalent to SCDs, and describe a potential path forward for finding SCDs through a notion of tableaux avoidance. We discuss implications of the conjectures for the problem of computing plethysm coefficients and discuss connections to physics and geometry. We end with a list of conjectures, questions and open problems.

Middle orders: all distributive lattices between weak and Bruhat
For a given Coxeter group, we study distributive lattices called middle orders refining the weak order and refined by the Bruhat order. In type $A$, we construct such lattices indexed by binary trees using a direct bijection between permutations and lower sets of a certain partition of the root poset into rectangles. When the binary tree is a left-comb tree, we recover the middle order defined by Bouvel, Ferrari, and Tenner (2025). We study combinatorial properties of these lattices, and show they are the only distributive lattices between the weak and Bruhat orders in type $A$. For general Coxeter groups, we study middle orders on parabolic quotients and use these to generalize our construction in type $A$ to other Weyl groups, obtaining so-called ``minuscule middle orders''. We show that they are a subset of sorting orders defined by Armstrong (2009), and we give conjectural descriptions of all middle orders that are not minuscule.

Intersection statistics for antichains in minuscule posets
For a finite poset $P$, we study the expected size of the intersection of two independent uniformly random antichains. Equivalently, we evaluate the sum of $|A\cap A'|$ over all ordered pairs of antichains. For general posets this statistic appears to have little structure, but for the classical minuscule posets with uniform combinatorial models it admits closed-form expressions. Though the proofs are elementary and combinatorial, the resulting formulas admit a natural interpretation in terms of weight diagrams of minuscule representations.

Minuscule Coxeter Dressians
In this extended abstract, we study special tropical prevarieties which we call Coxeter Dressians. They arise from equations capturing a generalization of valuated symmetric basis exchange for Coxeter matroids. In particular, we study subdivisions of the associated Coxeter matroid polytopes. We show that the subdivisions induced by points of the Coxeter Dressian consist of cells which are strong Coxeter matroidal. This generalizes well-known results in type $A$ to other Lie types. Finally, we implement explicit computations of Coxeter Dressians in OSCAR.

Quadratic exchange equations for Coxeter matroids
Tropicalisation (with trivial coefficients) is a process that turns a polynomial equation into a combinatorial predicate on subsets of the set of variables. We show that for each minuscule representation of a simple reductive group, there is a set of quadratic equations cutting out the orbit of the highest weight vector whose tropicalisation characterises the set of Coxeter matroids for that representation which satisfy the strong exchange property.

Crystals and quantum twist automorphisms
Let $η_w$ be the quantum twist automorphism for the quantum unipotent coordinate ring $\mathrm{A}_q(\mathfrak{n}(w))$ introduced by Kimura and Oya. In this paper, we study the quantum twist automorphism $η_w$ in the viewpoint of the crystal bases theory and provide a crystal-theoretic description of $η_w$. In the case of the $*$-twisted minuscule crystals of classical finite types, we provide a combinatorial description of $η_w$ in terms of (shifted) Young diagrams. We further investigate the periodicity of $η_w$ up to a multiple of frozen variables in various setting.
Stability with minuscule structure for chromatic thresholds
The chromatic threshold $δ_χ(H)$ of a graph $H$ is the infimum of $d>0$ such that the chromatic number of every $n$-vertex $H$-free graph with minimum degree at least $d n$ is bounded by a constant depending only on $H$ and $d$. Allen, B{ö}ttcher, Griffiths, Kohayakawa, and Morris determined the chromatic threshold for every $H$; in particular, they showed that if $χ(H)=r\ge 3$, then $δ_χ(H) \in\{\frac{r-3}{r-2},~\frac{2 r-5}{2 r-3},~\frac{r-2}{r-1}\}$. While the chromatic thresholds have been completely determined, rather surprisingly the structural behaviors of extremal graphs near the threshold remain unexplored. In this paper, we establish the stability theorems for chromatic threshold problems. We prove that every $n$-vertex $H$-free graph $G$ with $δ(G)\ge (δ_χ(H)-o(1))n$ and $χ(G)=ω(1)$ must be structurally close to one of the extremal configurations. Furthermore, we give a stronger stability result when $H$ is a clique, showing that $G$ admits a partition into independent sets and a small subgraph on sublinear number of vertices. We show that this small subgraph has fractional chromatic number $2+o(1)$ and is homomorphic to a Kneser graph defined by subsets of a logarithmic size set; both these two bounds are best possible. This is the first stability result that captures the lower-order structural features of extremal graphs. We also study two variations of chromatic thresholds. Replacing chromatic number by its fractional counterpart, we determine the fractional chromatic thresholds for all graphs. Another variation is the bounded-VC chromatic thresholds, which was introduced by Liu, Shangguan, Skokan, and Xu very recently. Extending work of Łuczak and Thomass{é} on the triangle case, we determine the bounded-VC chromatic thresholds for all cliques.

Standard posets and integral weight bases for symmetric powers of minuscule representations
This paper extends our earlier work where we constructed ``minuscule'' representations of Kac--Moody algebras from colored posets in a way that maintains key properties of the well-known minuscule representations of simple Lie algebras. In this paper we work only with finite posets. We define standard posets here as ones that can be used to construct weight bases of $m^\text{th}$ symmetric powers ($m \ge 1$) of these minuscule Kac--Moody representations over the integers in a certain fashion. Our main result is to show that our ``$Γ$-colored $d$-complete'' and ``$Γ$-colored minuscule'' posets are standard. When the algebra at hand is a simply laced simple Lie algebra and the representation minuscule in the classic sense (i.e. isomorphic to irreducible $V(λ)$ for minuscule highest weight $λ$), our result produces a concrete combinatorially described weight basis for the irreducible representation $V(mλ)$ that is indexed in a natural fashion by $m$-multichains in the weight lattice for $V(λ)$. C.S. Seshadri first showed such an indexing of a basis is possible. Our work here is entirely combinatorial and does not use results or techniques from algebraic geometry. Constructions in this paper are independent of Lie type and actions of Kac--Moody algebra elements on basis vectors are effectively specified.

Vertex functions of type $D$ Nakajima quiver varieties
We study the quasimap vertex functions of type $D$ Nakajima quiver varieties. When the quiver varieties have isolated torus fixed points, we compute the coefficients of the vertex functions in the $K$-theoretic fixed point basis. We also give an explicit combinatorial description of zero-dimensional type $D$ quiver varieties and their vertex functions using the combinatorics of minuscule posets. Using Macdonald polynomials, we prove that these vertex functions can be expressed as products of $q$-binomial functions, which proves a degeneration of the conjectured 3d mirror symmetry of vertex functions. We provide an interpretation of type $D$ spin vertex functions as the partition functions of the half-space Macdonald processes of Barraquand, Borodin, and Corwin. This hints that the geometry of quiver varieties may provide new examples of integrable probabilistic models.

Fundamental polytope for the isometry group of an alcove
A fundamental alcove $\mathcal{A}$ is a tile in a paving of a vector space $V$ by an affine reflection group $W_{\mathrm{aff}}$. Its geometry encodes essential features of $W_{\mathrm{aff}}$, such as its affine Dynkin diagram $\widetilde{D}$ and fundamental group $Ω$. In this article we investigate its full isometry group $\mathrm{Aut}(\mathcal{A})$. It is well known that the isometry group of a regular polyhedron is generated by hyperplane reflections on its faces. Being a simplex, an alcove $\mathcal{A}$ is the simplest of polyhedra, nevertheless it is seldom a regular one. In our first main result we show that $\mathrm{Aut}(\mathcal{A})$ is isomorphic to $\mathrm{Aut}(\widetilde{D})$. Building on this connection, we establish that $\mathrm{Aut}(\mathcal{A})$ is an abstract Coxeter group, with generators given by affine isometric involutions of the ambient space. Although these involutions are seldom reflections, our second main result leverages them to construct, by slicing the Komrakov--Premet fundamental polytope $\mathcal{K}$ for the action of $Ω$, a family of fundamental polytopes for the action of $\mathrm{Aut}(\mathcal{A})$ on $\mathcal{A}$, whose vertices are contained in the vertices of $\mathcal{K}$ and whose faces are parametrized by the so-called balanced minuscule roots, which we introduce here. In an appendix, we discuss some related negative results on stratified centralizers and equivariant triangulations.

Chevalley Polytopes and Newton-Okounkov Bodies
We construct a family of polytopes, which we call Chevalley polytopes, associated to homogeneous spaces $X=G/P$ in their projective embeddings $X\hookrightarrow \mathbb{P}(V_{\varpi})$ together with a choice of reduced expression for the minimal coset representative $w^P$ of $w_0$ in $W/W_P$. When $X$ is minuscule in its minimal embedding, we describe our construction in terms of order polytopes of minuscule posets and use the associated combinatorics to show that minuscule Chevalley polytopes are Newton-Okounkov bodies for $X$ and that the Plücker coordinates on $X$ form a Khovanskii basis for $\mathbb{C}[X]$. We conjecture similar properties for general $X$ and general embeddings $X\hookrightarrow\mathbb{P}(V_\varpi)$, along with a remarkable decomposition property which we consider as a polytopal shadow of the Littlewood-Richardson rule. We highlight a connection between Chevalley polytopes and string polytopes and give examples where Chevalley polytopes possess better combinatorial properties than string polytopes. We conclude with several examples further illustrating and supporting our conjectures.

Canonical Landau-Ginzburg models for cominuscule homogeneous spaces
We present a type-independent Landau-Ginzburg (LG) model $(X_\mathrm{can}, \mathcal{W}_\mathrm{can})$ for any cominuscule homogeneous space $X=G/P$. We give a fully combinatorial construction for our superpotential $\mathcal{W}_\mathrm{can}$ as a sum of $n+1$ rational functions in the (generalized) Plücker coordinates on the "Langlands dual" minuscule homogeneous space $\mathbb{X}=P^\vee\backslash G^\vee$. Explicitly, we define the denominators $\mathcal{D}_{i_*}$ of these rational functions using the combinatorics of order ideals of the corresponding minuscule poset, which can be interpreted as (generalized) Young diagrams, by a process that can be described by "moving boxes" and hence is easily implemented. To construct the corresponding numerators, we define derivations $δ_{i_1}$ on $\mathbb{C}[\mathbb{X}]$ that act by "adding an appropriate box if possible" and then we apply each $δ_{i_1}$ to the corresponding $\mathcal{D}_{i_*}$. By studying certain Weyl orbits in the fundamental representations of $\widetilde{G}^\vee$ and exploiting the existence of a certain dense algebraic torus in $\mathbb{X}$, we show that the polynomials $\mathcal{D}_{i_*}$ coincide with the generalized minors $φ_{i_*}$ appearing in the cluster structures for homogeneous spaces studied by Geiß-Leclerc-Schröer in arXiv:math/0609138. We then define the mirror variety $X_\mathrm{can}=\mathbb{X}\setminus D_\mathrm{ac}$ to be the complement of the anticanonical divisor $D_\mathrm{ac} = \sum_{i_*}\{\mathcal{D}_{i_*}=0\}$ formed by the $\mathcal{D}_{i_*}$. Moreover, we show that the LG models $(X_\mathrm{can},\mathcal{W}_\mathrm{can})$ are isomorphic to the Lie-theoretic LG-models $(X_\mathrm{Lie},\mathcal{W}_\mathrm{Lie})$ constructed by Rietsch in arXiv:math/0511124 and our models naturally generalize the type-dependent Plücker coordinate LG-models previously studied by various authors.

(Co)Minuscule Hecke categories
We determine the p-Kazhdan-Lusztig bases for antispherical (co)minuscule Hecke categories in all characteristics, and for spherical (co)minuscule Hecke categories in good characteristic. This is achieved using geometric and diagrammatic methods. The 2-Kazhdan-Lusztig bases of antispherical cominuscule Hecke categories exhibit extremely pathological behaviour. The notions of p-small resolutions and p-tight elements are introduced and conjecturally explain this behaviour.

Branching rules of minuscule representations via a new partial order
We introduce a new partial order on the set of all antichains of a fixed size in any poset. When applied to minuscule posets, these partial orders give rise to distributive lattices that appear in the branching rules for minuscule representations of complex simple Lie algebras.
Hook formula for Coxeter groups via the twisted group ring

We use Kostant and Kumar's twisted group ring and its dual to formulate and prove a generalization of Nakada's colored hook formula for any Coxeter groups. For dominant minuscule elements of the Weyl group of a Kac--Moody algebra, this provides another short proof of Nakada's colored hook formula.

Chevalley formulae for the motivic Chern classes of Schubert cells and for the stable envelopes
Published • View PublicationBIB
We prove a Chevalley formula to multiply the motivic Chern classes of Schubert cells in a generalized flag manifold $G/P$ by the class of any line bundle $\mathcal{L}_λ$. Our formula is given in terms of the $λ$-chains of Lenart and Postnikov. Its proof relies on a change of basis formula in the affine Hecke algebra due to Ram, and on the Hecke algebra action on torus-equivariant K-theory of the complete flag manifold $G/B$ via left Demazure--Lusztig operators. We revisit some wall-crossing formulae for the stable envelopes in $T^*(G/B)$. We use our Chevalley formula, and the equivalence between motivic Chern classes of Schubert cells and K-theoretic stable envelopes in $T^*(G/B)$, to give formulae for the change of polarization, and for the change of slope for stable envelopes. We prove several additional applications, including Serre, star, and Dynkin, dualities of the Chevalley coefficients, new formulae for the Whittaker functions, and for the Hall--Littlewood polynomials. We also discuss positivity properties of Chevalley coefficients, and properties of the coefficients arising from multiplication by minuscule weights.

Real-rootedness of the type A minuscule polynomials
We prove two recent conjectures of Bourn and Erickson (2023) regarding the real-rootedness of a certain family of polynomials $N_n(t)$ as well as the sum of their coefficients. These polynomials arise as the numerators of generating functions in the context of the discrete one-dimensional earth mover's distance (EMD) and have also connection to the Wiener index of minuscule lattices. We also prove that the coefficients of $N_n(x)$ are asymptotically normal, the coefficient matrix of $N_n(x)$ is totally positive and the polynomial sequence $N_n(x)$'s is $x$-log-concave.

Palindromicity of the numerator of a statistical generating function
We prove a conjecture of Bourn and Willenbring (2020) regarding the palindromicity and unimodality of a certain family of polynomials $N_n(t)$. These recursively defined polynomials arise as the numerators of generating functions in the context of the discrete one-dimensional earth mover's distance (EMD). The key to our proof is showing that the defining recursion can be viewed as describing sums of symmetric differences of pairs of Young diagrams; in this setting, palindromicity is equivalent to the preservation of the symmetric difference under the transposition of diagrams. We also observe a connection to recent work by Defant et al. (2024) on the Wiener index of minuscule lattices, which we reinterpret combinatorially to obtain explicit formulas for the coefficients of $N_n(t)$ and for the expected value of the discrete EMD.
