The Young Tableaux Hopf algebra and multiple Schur series
In this paper, we introduce multiple Schur series, which are defined by Schur-type sums over semi-standard Young tableaux and generalize both Schur multiple zeta values and multiple Eisenstein series. To study their algebraic structure, we construct a connected, commutative, graded Hopf algebra of Young tableaux and identify its linearized quotient with the quasi-shuffle algebra. Within this Hopf algebra and its quotient, we establish several relations, including a hook formula and the Jacobi--Trudi formula. Furthermore, we relate this Hopf algebra to the ring of symmetric functions, which yields polynomial reduction formulas for tableaux with constant entries. As applications, we recover Schur multiple zeta values, introduce Schur multiple Eisenstein series together with a $q$-analogue of Schur multiple zeta values, and discuss their (quasi)modularity.
Super major index and Thrall's problem
Thrall's problem asks for the Schur decomposition of the higher Lie modules $\mathcal{L}_λ$, which are defined using the free Lie algebra and decompose the tensor algebra as a general linear group module. Although special cases have been solved, Thrall's problem remains open in general. We generalize Thrall's problem to the free Lie superalgebra, and prove extensions of three known results in this setting: Brandt's formula, Klyachko's identification of the Schur--Weyl dual of $\mathcal{L}_n$, and Kr{á}skiewicz--Weyman's formula for the Schur decomposition of $\mathcal{L}_n$. The latter involves a new version of the major index on super tableaux, which we show corresponds to a $q,t$-hook formula of Macdonald.

We use Kostant and Kumar's twisted group ring and its dual to formulate and prove a generalization of Nakada's colored hook formula for any Coxeter groups. For dominant minuscule elements of the Weyl group of a Kac--Moody algebra, this provides another short proof of Nakada's colored hook formula.
A hook formula for eigenvalues of k-point fixing graph
Let $S_n$ denote the symmetric group on $n$ letters. The $k$-point fixing graph $\mathcal{F}(n,k)$ is defined to be the graph with vertex set $S_n$ and two vertices $g,h$ of $\mathcal{F}(n,k)$ are joined by an edge, if and only if $gh^{-1}$ fixes exactly $k$ points. Ku, Lau and Wong [Cayley graph on symmetric group generated by elements fixing $k$ points, Linear Algebra Appl. 471 (2015) 405-426] obtained a recursive formula for the eigenvalues of $\mathcal{F}(n,k)$.
In this paper, we use objects called excited diagrams defined as certain generalizations of skew shapes and derive an explicit formula for the eigenvalues of Cayley graph $\mathcal{F}(n,k)$. Then we apply this formula and show that the eigenvalues of $\mathcal{F}(n,k)$ are in the interval $[\frac{-|S(n,k)|}{n-k-1}, |S(n,k)|]$, where $S(n,k)$ is the set of elements $σ$ of $S_n$ such that $σ$ fixes exactly $k$ points.

Nakada's colored hook formula is a vast generalization of many important formulae in combinatorics, such as the classical hook length formula and the Peterson's formula for the number of reduced expressions of minuscule Weyl group elements. In this paper, we utilize cohomological properties of Segre-MacPherson classes of Schubert cells and varieties to prove a generalization of a cohomological version of Nakada's formula, in terms of smoothness properties of Schubert varieties. A key ingredient in the proof is the study of a decorated version of the Bruhat graph. Summing over weighted paths of this graph give the terms in the generalized Nakada's formula, and also provide algorithms to calculate structure constants of multiplications of Segre-MacPherson classes of Schubert cells. For simply laced Weyl groups, we also show the equality of `skew' and `straight' Nakada's formulae. This utilizes a criterion for smoothness in terms of excited diagrams of heaps of minuscule elements, which might be of independent interest.

We prove a cyclic sieving result for the set of $3 \times k$ packed increasing tableaux with maximum entry $m :=3+k$ under K-promotion. The "curiosity" is that the sieving polynomial arises from the $q$-hook formula for standard tableaux of "toothbrush shape" $(2^3, 1^{k-2})$ with $m+1$ boxes, whereas K-promotion here only has order $m$.

We present a new family of hook-length formulas for the number of standard increasing tableaux which arise in the study of factorial Grothendieck polynomials. In the case of straight shapes our formulas generalize the classical hook-length formula and Stanley's formula. For skew shapes, our formulas generalize the Naruse hook-length formula and its $q$-analogues, which were studied in previous papers of the series.
On Hook Formulas for Cylindric Skew Diagrams
We present a conjectual hook formula concerning the number of the standard tableaux on "cylindric" skew diagrams. Our formula can be seen as an extension of Naruse's hook formula for skew diagrams. Moreover, we prove our conjecture in some special cases.

Linear extensions of posets are important objects in enumerative and algebraic combinatorics that are difficult to count in general. Families of posets like Young diagrams of straight shapes and $d$-complete posets have hook-length product formulas to count linear extensions, whereas families like Young diagrams of skew shapes have determinant or positive sum formulas like the Naruse hook-length formula from 2014. In 2020, Garver et. al. gave determinant formulas to count linear extensions of a family of posets called mobile posets that refine $d$-complete posets and border strip skew shapes. We give a Naruse type hook-length formula to count linear extensions of such posets by proving a major index $q$-analogue. We also a inversion index $q$-analogue of the Naruse formula for mobile tree posets.
The p-Airy distribution
In this manuscript we consider the set of Dyck paths equipped with the uniform measure, and we study the statistical properties of a deformation of the observable "area below the Dyck path" as the size $N$ of the path goes to infinity. The deformation under analysis is apparently new: while usually the area is constructed as the sum of the heights of the steps of the Dyck path, here we regard it as the sum of the lengths of the connected horizontal slices under the path, and we deform it by applying to the lengths of the slices a positive regular function $ω(\ell)$ such that $ω(\ell) \sim \ell^p$ for large argument. This shift of paradigm is motivated by applications to the Euclidean Random Assignment Problem in Random Combinatorial Optimization, and to Tree Hook Formulas in Algebraic Combinatorics.
For $p \in \mathbb{R}^+ \smallsetminus \left\{ \frac{1}{2}\right\}$, we characterize the statistical properties of the deformed area as a function of the deformation function $ω(\ell)$ by computing its integer moments, finding a generalization of a well-known recursion for the moments of the area-Airy distribution, due to Takács. Most of the properties of the distribution of the deformed area are \emph{universal}, meaning that they depend on the deformation parameter $p$, but not on the microscopic details of the function $ω(\ell)$. We call \emph{$p$-Airy distribution} this family of universal distributions.

In earlier work, Billey--Konvalinka--Swanson studied the asymptotic distribution of the coefficients of Stanley's $q$-hook length formula, or equivalently the major index on standard tableaux of straight shape and certain skew shapes. We extend those investigations to Stanley's $q$-hook-content formula related to semistandard tableaux and $q$-hook length formulas of Björner--Wachs related to linear extensions of labeled forests. We show that, while their coefficients are ``generically'' asymptotically normal, there are uncountably many non-normal limit laws. More precisely, we introduce and completely describe the compact closure of the metric space of distributions of these statistics in several regimes. The additional limit distributions involve generalized uniform sum distributions which are topologically parameterized by certain decreasing sequence spaces with bounded $2$-norm. The closure of these distributions in the Lévy metric gives rise to the space of DUSTPAN distributions. As an application, we completely classify the limiting distributions of the size statistic on plane partitions fitting in a box.

We show that for a finite-type Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$, the representation theory of quiver Hecke algebras provides a natural framework for the construction of Newton-Okounkov bodies associated to the quantum coordinate rings $\Aqnw$. When $\mathfrak{g}$ is simply-laced, we use Kang-Kashiwara-Kim-Oh's monoidal categorification to investigate the cluster theory of these bodies. In particular, our construction yields a simplex $\ds$ for every seed $\s$ of $\Aqnw$.
We exhibit various properties of these simplices by characterizing their rational points, normal fans, and volumes. As an application, we prove an equality of rational functions relating Nakada's hook formula with the root partitions associated to cluster variables, suggesting further connections between cluster theory and the combinatorics of fully-commutative elements of Weyl groups.

Peterson and Proctor obtained a formula which expresses the multivariate generating function for $P$-partitions on a $d$-complete poset $P$ as a product in terms of hooks in $P$. In this paper, we give a skew generalization of Peterson--Proctor's hook formula, i.e., a formula for the generating function for $(P \setminus F)$-partitions for a $d$-complete poset $P$ and its order filter $F$, by using the notion of excited diagrams. Our proof uses the Billey-type formula and the Chevalley-type formula in the equivariant $K$-theory of Kac--Moody partial flag varieties. This generalization provides an alternate proof of Peterson--Proctor's hook formula.

We give new product formulas for the number of standard Young tableaux of certain skew shapes and for the principal evaluation of the certain Schubert polynomials. These are proved by utilizing symmetries for evaluations of factorial Schur functions, extensively studied in the first two papers in the series "Hook formulas for skew shapes" [arxiv:1512.08348, arxiv:1610.04744]. We also apply our technology to obtain determinantal and product formulas for the partition function of certain weighted lozenge tilings, and give various probabilistic and asymptotic applications.

The Naruse hook-length formula is a recent general formula for the number of standard Young tableaux of skew shapes, given as a positive sum over excited diagrams of products of hook-lengths. In 2015 we gave two different $q$-analogues of Naruse's formula: for the skew Schur functions, and for counting reverse plane partitions of skew shapes. In this paper we give an elementary proof of Naruse's formula based on the case of border strips. For special border strips, we obtain curious new formulas for the Euler and $q$-Euler numbers in terms of certain Dyck path summations.

In this paper we study the combinatorial consequences of the relationship between rational Cherednik algebras of type $G(l,1,n)$, cyclic quiver varieties and Hilbert schemes. We classify and explicitly construct $\mathbb{C}^*$-fixed points in cyclic quiver varieties and calculate the corresponding characters of tautological bundles. Furthermore, we give a combinatorial description of the bijections between $\mathbb{C}^*$-fixed points induced by the Etingof-Ginzburg isomorphism and Nakajima reflection functors. We apply our results to obtain a new proof as well as a generalization of the $q$-hook formula.
Pattern-Avoiding Polytopes

Two well-known polytopes whose vertices are indexed by permutations in the symmetric group $\mathfrak{S}_n$ are the permutohedron $P_n$ and the Birkhoff polytope $B_n$. We consider polytopes $P_n(Π)$ and $B_n(Π)$, whose vertices correspond to the permutations in $\mathfrak{S}_n$ avoiding a set of patterns $Π$. For various choices of $Π$, we explore the Ehrhart polynomials and $h^*$-vectors of these polytopes as well as other aspects of their combinatorial structure.
For $P_n(Π)$, we consider all subsets $Π\subseteq \mathfrak{S}_3$ and are able to provide results in most cases. To illustrate, $P_n(123,132)$ is a Pitman-Stanley polytope, the number of interior lattice points in $P_n(132,312)$ is a derangement number, and the normalized volume of $P_n(123,231,312)$ is the number of trees on $n$ vertices.
The polytopes $B_n(Π)$ seem much more difficult to analyze, so we focus on four particular choices of $Π$. First we show that the $B_n(231,321)$ is exactly the Chan-Robbins-Yuen polytope. Next we prove that for any $Π$ containing $\{123,312\}$ we have $h^*(B_n(Π))=1$. Finally, we study $B_n(132,312)$ and $\widetilde{B}_n(123)$, where the tilde indicates that we choose vertices corresponding to alternating permutations avoiding the pattern $123$. In both cases we use order complexes of posets and techniques from toric algebra to construct regular, unimodular triangulations of the polytopes. The posets involved turn out to be isomorphic to the lattices of Young diagrams contained in a certain shape, and this permits us to give an exact expression for the normalized volumes of the corresponding polytopes via the hook formula. Finally, Stanley's theory of $(P,ω)$-partitions allows us to show that their $h^*$-vectors are symmetric and unimodal.
Various questions and conjectures are presented throughout.

The celebrated hook-length formula gives a product formula for the number of standard Young tableaux of a straight shape. In 2014, Naruse announced a more general formula for the number of standard Young tableaux of skew shapes as a positive sum over excited diagrams of products of hook-lengths. We give an algebraic and a combinatorial proof of Naruse's formula, by using factorial Schur functions and a generalization of the Hillman--Grassl correspondence, respectively.
The main new results are two different $q$-analogues of Naruse's formula: for the skew Schur functions, and for counting reverse plane partitions of skew shapes. We establish explicit bijections between these objects and families of integer arrays with certain nonzero entries, which also proves the second formula.
Difference operators for partitions and some applications

Motivated by the Nekrasov-Okounkov formula on hook lengths, the first author conjectured that the Plancherel average of the $2k$-th power sum of hook lengths of partitions with size $n$ is always a polynomial of $n$ for any $k\in \mathbb{N}$. This conjecture was generalized and proved by Stanley (Ramanujan J., 23(1--3): 91--105, 2010). In this paper, inspired by the work of Stanley and Olshanski on the differential poset of Young lattice, we study the properties of two kinds of difference operators $D$ and $D^-$ defined on functions of partitions. Even though the calculations for higher orders of $D$ are extremely complex, we prove that several well-known families of functions of partitions are annihilated by a power of the difference operator $D$. As an application, our results lead to several generalizations of classic results on partitions, including the marked hook formula, Stanley Theorem, Okada-Panova hook length formula, and Fujii-Kanno-Moriyama-Okada content formula. We insist that the Okada constants $K_r$ arise directly from the computation for a single partition $λ$, without the summation ranging over all partitions of size~$n$.
A Nekrasov-Okounkov Type formula for $\widetilde{C}$
In 2008, Han rediscovered an expansion of powers of Dedekind $η$ function attributed to Nekrasov and Okounkov (which was actually first proved the same year by Westbury) by using a famous identity of Macdonald in the framework of type $\widetilde{A}$ affine root systems. In this paper, we obtain new combinatorial expansions of powers of $η$, in terms of partition hook lengths, by using the Macdonald identity in type $\widetilde{C}$ and a new bijection between vectors with integral coordinates and a subset of $t$-cores for integer partitions. As applications, we derive a symplectic hook formula and an unexpected relation between the Macdonald identities in types $\widetilde{C}$, $\widetilde{B}$, and $\widetilde{BC}$. We also generalize these expansions through the Littlewood decomposition and deduce in particular many new weighted generating functions for subsets of integer partitions and refinements of hook formulas.
