Entropy of affine permutations and universality of affine atomic lengths
We introduce and study the notion of entropy of affine permutations and prove that it coincides with the atomic length associated with the sum of the fundamental weights for a type $A$ affine root system, as defined by the first two authors. We then establish an analogue of the Granville-Ono theorem by showing that any nonnegative integer can be realised as the entropy of an affine permutation or alternatively, as the size of a core multipartition as introduced by the last two authors. Our proof uses an additive combinatorics theorem due to Hall on difference sets of permutations modulo $n$. More generally, we give a polynomial expression of the atomic length associated with any dominant weight in affine type $A$ and investigate the problem of its universality. Beyond type $A$, we are able to prove that the entropy of affine type $C_n$ permutations is universal when $2n+1$ is prime. This is achieved by establishing an analogue of Hall's theorem for the hyperoctahedral group based on Alon's combinatorial Nullstellensatz. We also propose conjectures generalising the results presented in the paper, each supported by computational evidence. Finally, we show that in any affine classical type, the problem of the universality of the atomic length simplifies in large rank when the weight considered is conveniently adjusted.
$c$-functions and Koornwinder polynomials
This paper develops the theory of Macdonald-Koornwinder polynomials in parallel analogy with the work done for the $GL_n$ case in [CR22]. In the context of the type $CC_n$ affine root system the Macdonald polynomials of other root systems of classical type are specializations of the Koornwinder polynomials. We derive $c$-function formulas for symmetrizers and use them to give $E$-expansions, principal specializations and norm formulas for bosonic, mesonic and fermionic Koornwinder polynomials. Finally, we explain the proof of the norm conjectures and constant term conjectures for the Koornwinder case.
Oriented matroid structures on rank 3 root systems
We show that, given a rank 3 affine root system $Φ$ with Weyl group $W$, there is a unique oriented matroid structure on $Φ$ which is $W$-equivariant and restricts to the usual matroid structure on rank 2 subsystems. Such oriented matroids were called oriented matroid root systems in Dyer-Wang (2021), and are known to be non-unique in higher rank. We also show uniqueness for any finite root system or "clean" rank 3 root system (which conjecturally includes all rank 3 root systems).

The Nekrasov-Okounkov formula gives an expression for the Fourier coefficients of the Euler functions as a sum of hook length products. This formula can be deduced from a specialization in a renormalization of the affine type $A$ Weyl denominator formula and the use of a polynomial argument. In this paper, we rephrase the renormalized Weyl-Kac denominator formula as a sum parametrized by affine Grassmannian elements. This naturally gives rise to the (dual) atomic length of the root system considered introduced by Chapelier-Laget and Gerber. We then provide an interpretation of this atomic length as the cardinality of some subsets of $n$-core partitions by using foldings of affine Dynkin diagrams. This interpretation does not permit the direct use of a polynomial argument for all affine root systems. We show that this obstruction can be overcome by computing the atomic length of certain families of integer partitions. Then we show how hook-length statistics on these partitions are connected with the Coxeter length on affine Grassmannian elements and Nekrasov-Okounkov type formulas.
Affine extended weak order is a lattice
Coxeter groups are equipped with a partial order known as the weak order, such that $u \leq v$ if the inversions of $u$ are a subset of the inversions of $v$. In finite Coxeter groups, weak order is a complete lattice, but in infinite Coxeter groups it is only a meet semi-lattice. Motivated by questions in Kazhdan-Lusztig theory, Matthew Dyer introduced a larger poset, now known as extended weak order, which contains the weak order as an order ideal and coincides with it for finite Coxeter groups. The extended weak order is the containment order on certain sets of positive roots: those which satisfy a geometric condition making them "biclosed". The finite biclosed sets are precisely the inversion sets of Coxeter group elements. Generalizing the result for finite Coxeter groups, Dyer conjectured that the extended weak order is always a complete lattice, even for infinite Coxeter groups.
In this paper, we prove Dyer's conjecture for Coxeter groups of affine type. To do so, we introduce the notion of a clean arrangement, which is a hyperplane arrangement where the regions are in bijection with biclosed sets. We show that root poset order ideals in a finite or rank 3 untwisted affine root system are clean. We set up a general framework for reducing Dyer's conjecture to checking cleanliness of certain subarrangements. We conjecture this framework can be used to prove Dyer's conjecture for all Coxeter groups.
Some combinatorial interpretations of the Macdonald identities for affine root systems and Nekrasov--Okounkov type formulas
We explore some connections between vectors of integers and integer partitions seen as bi-infinite words. This methodology enables us on the one hand to obtain enumerations connecting products of hook lengths and vectors of integers. This yields on the other hand a combinatorial interpretation of the Macdonald identities for affine root systems of the $7$ infinite families in terms of Schur functions, symplectic and special orthogonal Schur functions. From these results, we are able to derive $q$-Nekrasov--Okounkov formulas associated to each type. The latter for limit cases of $q$ yield Nekrasov--Okounkov type formulas corresponding to all the specializations given by Macdonald.

Nevertheless we only give results for types $\tilde{C}$ and $\tilde{C}^{\vee}$, and give a sketch of the proof for type $\tilde{C}$.
Equivariant oriented homology of the affine Grassmannian
We generalize the property of small-torus equivariant K-homology of the affine Grassmannian to general oriented (co)homology theory in the sense of Levine and Morel. The main tool we use is the formal affine Demazure algebra associated to the affine root system. More precisely, we prove that the small-torus equivariant oriented cohomology of the affine Grassmannian satisfies the GKM condition. We also show that its dual, the small-torus equivariant homology, is isomorphic to the centralizer of the equivariant oriented cohomology of a point in the the formal affine Demazure algebra.

Let $W$ be a Coxeter group and let $Φ^+$ be its positive roots. A subset $B$ of $Φ^+$ is called biclosed if, whenever we have roots $α$, $β$ and $γ$ with $γ\in \mathbb{R}_{>0} α+ \mathbb{R}_{>0} β$, if $α$ and $β\in B$ then $γ\in B$ and, if $α$ and $β\not\in B$, then $γ\not\in B$. The finite biclosed sets are the inversion sets of the elements of $W$, and the containment between finite inversion sets is the weak order on $W$. Matthew Dyer suggested studying the poset of all biclosed subsets of $Φ^+$, ordered by containment, and conjectured that it is a complete lattice. As progress towards Dyer's conjecture, we classify all biclosed sets in the affine root systems. We provide both a type uniform description, and concrete models in the classical types $\widetilde{A}$, $\widetilde{B}$, $\widetilde{C}$, $\widetilde{D}$. We use our models to prove that biclosed sets form a complete lattice in types $\widetilde{A}$ and $\widetilde{C}$.

Inspired by the infinite families of finite and affine root systems, we consider a "stretching" operation on general crystallographic root systems which, on the level of Coxeter diagrams, replaces a vertex with a path of unlabeled edges. We embed a root system into its stretched versions using a similar operation on individual roots. For a fixed root, we study the growth of two associated structures as we lengthen the stretched path: the downset in the root poset (in the sense of Björner and Brenti [3]) and the arrangement of shards, introduced by Nathan Reading. We show that both eventually admit a uniform description, and deduce enumerative consequences: the size of the downset is eventually a polynomial, and the number of shards grows exponentially.

The characterization of orbits of roots under the action of a Coxeter element is a fundamental tool in the study of finite root systems and their reflection groups. This paper develops the analogous tool in the affine setting, adding detail and uniformity to a result of Dlab and Ringel.
The Weyl-Kac weight formula

We provide the first formulae for the weights of all simple highest weight modules over Kac-Moody algebras. For generic highest weights, we present a formula for the weights of simple modules similar to the Weyl-Kac character formula. For the remaining highest weights, the formula fails in a striking way, suggesting the existence of 'multiplicity-free' Macdonald identities for affine root systems.

We study the structure algebra $\mathcal{Z}$ of the stable moment graph for the case of the affine root system $A_{1}$. The structure algebra $\mathcal{Z}$ is an algebra over a symmetric algebra and in particular, it is a module over a symmetric algebra. We study this module structure on $\mathcal{Z}$ and we construct a basis. By "setting $c$ equal to zero" in $\mathcal{Z}$, we obtain the module $\mathcal{Z}_{c=0}$. This module can be described in terms of the finite root system $A_{1}$ and we show that it is determined by a set of certain divisibility relations. These relations can be regarded as a generalization of ordinary moment graph relations that define sections of sheaves on moment graphs, and because of this we call them higher-order congruence relations.

In 2009, the first author proved the Nekrasov-Okounkov formula on hook lengths for integer partitions by using an identity of Macdonald in the framework of type $\widetilde A$ affine root systems, and conjectured that some summations over the set of all partitions of size $n$ are always polynomials in $n$. This conjecture was generalized and proved by Stanley. Recently, Pétréolle derived two Nekrasov-Okounkov type formulas for $\widetilde C$ and $\widetilde C\,\check{}$ which involve doubled distinct and self-conjugate partitions. Inspired by all those previous works, we establish the polynomiality of some hook-content summations for doubled distinct and self-conjugate partitions.

We present a new combinatorial formula for Hall-Littlewood functions associated with the affine root system of type $\tilde A_{n-1}$, i.e. corresponding to the affine Lie algebra $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_n$. Our formula has the form of a sum over the elements of a basis constructed by Feigin, Jimbo, Loktev, Miwa and Mukhin in the corresponding irreducible representation.
Our formula can be viewed as a weighted sum of exponentials of integer points in a certain infinite-dimensional convex polyhedron. We derive a weighted version of Brion's theorem and then apply it to our polyhedron to prove the formula.
A Nekrasov-Okounkov Type formula for $\widetilde{C}$
In 2008, Han rediscovered an expansion of powers of Dedekind $η$ function attributed to Nekrasov and Okounkov (which was actually first proved the same year by Westbury) by using a famous identity of Macdonald in the framework of type $\widetilde{A}$ affine root systems. In this paper, we obtain new combinatorial expansions of powers of $η$, in terms of partition hook lengths, by using the Macdonald identity in type $\widetilde{C}$ and a new bijection between vectors with integral coordinates and a subset of $t$-cores for integer partitions. As applications, we derive a symplectic hook formula and an unexpected relation between the Macdonald identities in types $\widetilde{C}$, $\widetilde{B}$, and $\widetilde{BC}$. We also generalize these expansions through the Littlewood decomposition and deduce in particular many new weighted generating functions for subsets of integer partitions and refinements of hook formulas.

Consider the generalized flag manifold $G/B$ and the corresponding affine flag manifold $\mathcal{Fl}_G$. In this paper we use curve neighborhoods for Schubert varieties in $\mathcal{Fl}_G$ to construct certain affine Gromov-Witten invariants of $\mathcal{Fl}_G$, and to obtain a family of "affine quantum Chevalley" operators $Λ_0, \ldots, Λ_n$ indexed by the simple roots in the affine root system of $G$. These operators act on the cohomology ring $\mathrm{H}^*(\mathcal{Fl}_G)$ with coefficients in $\mathbb{Z}[q_0, \ldots,q_n]$. By analyzing commutativity and invariance properties of these operators we deduce the existence of two quantum cohomology rings, which satisfy properties conjectured earlier by Guest and Otofuji for $G= \mathrm{SL}_n(\mathbb{C})$. The first quantum ring is a deformation of the subalgebra of $\mathrm{H}^*(\mathcal{Fl}_G)$ generated by divisors. The second ring, denoted $\mathrm{QH}^*_{\mathrm{af}}(G/B)$, deforms the ordinary quantum cohomology ring $\mathrm{QH}^*(G/B)$ by adding an affine quantum parameter $q_0$. We prove that $\mathrm{QH}^*_{\mathrm{af}}(G/B)$ is a Frobenius algebra, and that the new quantum product determines a flat Dubrovin connection. Further, we develop an analogue of Givental and Kim formalism for this ring and we deduce a presentation of $\mathrm{QH}^*_{\mathrm{af}}(G/B)$ by generators and relations. The ideal of relations is generated by the integrals of motion for the periodic Toda lattice associated to the dual of the extended Dynkin diagram of $G$.

In this work, we study the concept of the length function and some of its combinatorial properties for the class of extended affine root systems of type $A_1$. We introduce a notion of root basis for these root systems, and using a unique expression of the elements of the Weyl group with respect to a set of generators for the Weyl group, we calculate the length function with respect to a very specific root basis.
