Explicit description of certain 3-point K-theoretic Gromov-Witten invariants for flag manifolds
We give an explicit description, in terms of the quantum Bruhat graph, of the (torus-equivariant) 3-point, genus 0, $K$-theoretic Gromov-Witten invariants $\langle \mathcal{O}(- λ), \mathcal{O}^{w}, \mathcal{O}_{u} \rangle_{d}$ for the (full) flag manifold $X = G/B$, where $\mathcal{O}(- λ)$ denotes the class in the (torus-equivariant) $K$-theory ring $K_{T}(X)$ of $X$ of the line bundle $\mathcal{O}_{X}(- λ) = G \times_{B} \mathbb{C}_λ$ over $X = G/B$ associated to a weight $λ\in W \varpi_i$ lying in the Weyl group orbit of a minuscule fundamental weight $\varpi_i$, and $\mathcal{O}_{u}$, $\mathcal{O}^{w}$ are the Schubert and opposite Schubert classes in $K_{T}(X)$ for $u, w \in W$. This result can be thought of as a partial generalization of the quantum $K$-theoretic divisor axiom, which we obtained in our previous work; our proof utilizes a generalization of the Chevalley formula in the (torus-equivariant) quantum $K$-theory ring $QK_{T}(X)$ of $X$, which computes the quantum product with the line bundle class $\mathcal{O}(- λ)$ associated to the weight $λ$ above.
Formalizing $A_1^{(1)}$ Curve Neighborhoods in Lean 4
Combinatorial curve neighborhoods are somewhat foundational when setting up the quantum Schubert calculus for affine flag manifolds. In the specific case of type $A_1^{(1)}$, you can encode these neighborhoods entirely within the moment graph of the infinite dihedral group $D_\infty$. Building on the framework developed by Mihalcea and Norton, this paper presents a complete, axiom-free formalization of these combinatorial curve neighborhoods in Lean 4. Rather than just wrapping mathematical statements, we formalized $D_\infty$ directly as a Coxeter system to explicitly compute length functions and degree maps. Reachable sets are defined through edge chains bounded by specific degrees, and we ultimately characterize the curve neighborhood by the maximal vertices inside these sets. The core effort here lies in formally verifying the explicit combinatorial formulas for curve neighborhoods of arbitrary elements. Interestingly, by restricting our search space to finite sets, we also managed to extract a fully computable version of these neighborhoods.
Cancellation-free version of the quantum $K$-theoretic divisor axiom for the flag manifold in the quasi-minuscule case
We prove a cancellation-free version of the quantum $K$-theoretic divisor axiom for the flag manifold in the quasi-minuscule case. Namely, we remove the cancellations from the quantum $K$-theoretic divisor axiom due to Lenart-Naito-Sagaki-Xu in the case where the fundametal weight corresponding to the divisor class is quasi-minuscule.
Comparability in Bruhat orders
We determine the sharp asymptotic scale of the probability that two uniformly random permutations are comparable in weak Bruhat order, showing that $\mathbb{P}(σ_1 \preceq_W σ_2)=\exp\Bigl(\bigl(-\tfrac12+o(1)\bigr)\,n\log n\Bigr)$. This significantly improves both of the best known bounds, due to Hammett and Pittel, which placed this probability between $\exp((-1+o(1))n\log n)$ and $\exp(-Θ(n))$. We also improve the best known lower bound for strong Bruhat-order comparability, due to the same authors, by proving a subexponential lower bound. The Bruhat orders are natural partial orders on the symmetric group, appearing in wide-reaching settings including the geometry of flag manifolds, the representation theory of $\mathfrak{S}_{n}$, and the combinatorics of the permutohedron. To analyze weak Bruhat order, we combine classic analytic, tableau-theoretic, and poset-theoretic tools, including the Plancherel measure and the RSK bijection. For strong Bruhat order we construct large families where members are comparable with high probability. Our proof that members are comparable combines the tableau criterion with an associated random-walk-type deviation process.
Quantum $K$-theoretic Whitney relations for type $C$ flag manifolds
We study relations of $λ_{y}$-classes associated to tautological bundles over the flag manifold of type $C$ in the quantum $K$-ring. These relations are called the quantum $K$-theoretic Whitney relations. The strategy of the proof of the quantum $K$-theoretic Whitney relations is based on the method of semi-infinite flag manifolds and the Borel-type presentation. In addition, we observe that the quantum $K$-theoretic Whitney relations give a complete set of the defining relations of the quantum $K$-ring. This gives a presentation of the quantum $K$-ring of the flag manifold of type $C$, called the Whitney-type presentation, as a quotient of a polynomial ring, different from the Borel-type presentation.
Classical double Grothendieck transitions
Kirillov and Naruse have constructed double Grothendieck polynomials to represent the equivariant K-theory classes of Schubert varieties in the complete flag manifolds of types B, C, and D. We derive a recursive formula for these polynomials, extending certain K-theoretic transition equations known in type A to all classical types. As an application, we obtain an identity that expands the K-Stanley symmetric functions in types B, C, and D into positive linear combinations of K-theoretic Schur P- and Q-functions. We also resolve several positivity conjectures related to the skew generalizations of the latter functions.
Combinatorial Aspects of Elliptic Schubert Calculus
The main goal of this paper is to extend two fundamental combinatorial results in Schubert calculus on flag manifolds from equivariant cohomology and $K$-theory to equivariant elliptic cohomology. The foundations of elliptic Schubert calculus were laid in a few relatively recent papers by Rimányi, Weber, and Kumar. They include the recursive construction of elliptic Schubert classes via generalizations of the cohomology and $K$-theory push-pull operators and the study of the corresponding Demazure algebra. We derive a Billey-type formula for the localization of elliptic Schubert classes (for partial flag manifolds of arbitrary type) and a pipe dream model for their polynomial representatives in the case of type $A$ flag manifolds. The latter extends the pipe dream model for double Schubert and Grothendieck polynomials. We also study the degeneration of elliptic Schubert classes to $K$-theory, which recovers the corresponding classical formulas.
Counting Homogeneous Einstein Metrics
We present an explicit upper bound on the number of isolated homogeneous Einstein metrics on compact homogeneous spaces whose isotropy representations consist of pairwise inequivalent irreducibles. This is the BKK bound of the corresponding system of Laurent polynomials and is found combinatorially by computing the volume of a polytope. Inspired by a connection with algebraic statistics, we describe this system's BKK discriminant in terms of the principal $A$-determinant of scalar curvature. As a consequence, we confirm the Finiteness Conjecture of Böhm--Wang--Ziller in special cases. In particular, we give a unified proof that it holds on all generalized Wallach spaces. Finally, using numerical algebraic geometry, we compute $G$-invariant Einstein metrics on low-dimensional full flag manifolds $G/T$, where $G$ is a compact simple Lie group and $T$ is a maximal torus.

We prove that the ideal of relations in the (equivariant) quantum K ring of a homogeneous space is generated by quantizations of each of the generators of the ideal in the classical (equivariant) K ring. This extends to quantum K theory a result of Siebert and Tian in quantum cohomology. We illustrate this technique in the case of the quantum K ring of partial flag manifolds, using a set of quantum K Whitney relations conjectured by the authors, and recently proved by Huq-Kuruvilla.
Quantum $K$-theoretic divisor axiom for flag manifolds
We prove an identity for (torus-equivariant) 3-point, genus 0, $K$-theoretic Gromov-Witten invariants of flag manifolds $G/P$, which can be thought of as a replacement for the ``divisor axiom'' in their (torus-equivariant) quantum $K$-theory. This identity enables us to compute these invariants when two insertions are Schubert classes and the other a Schubert divisor class. Our type-independent proof utilizes the Chevalley formula for the (torus-equivariant) quantum $K$-theory ring of flag manifolds, which computes multiplications by Schubert divisor classes in terms of the quantum Bruhat graph.
Geometry of regular semisimple Lusztig varieties
Lusztig varieties are subvarieties in flag manifolds $G/B$ associated to an element $w$ in the Weyl group $W$ and an element $x$ in $G$, introduced in Lusztig's papers on character sheaves. We study the geometry of these varieties when $x$ is regular semisimple.
In the first part, we establish that they are normal, Cohen-Macaulay, of pure expected dimension and have rational singularities. We then show that the cohomology of ample line bundles vanishes in positive degrees, in arbitrary characteristic. This extends to nef line bundles when the base field has characteristic zero or sufficiently large characteristic. Along the way, we prove that Lusztig varieties are Frobenius split in positive characteristic and that their open cells are affine. We also prove that the open cells in Deligne-Lusztig varieties are affine, settling a question that has been open since the foundational paper of Deligne and Lusztig.
In the second part, we explore their relationship with regular semisimple Hessenberg varieties. Both varieties admit Tymoczko's dot action of $W$ on their (intersection) cohomology. We associate to each element $w$ in $W$ a Hessenberg space using the tangent cone of the Schubert variety associated with $w$, and show that the cohomology of the associated regular semisimple Lusztig varieties and Hessenberg varieties is isomorphic as graded $W$-representations when they are smooth.
This relationship extends to the level of varieties: we construct a flat degeneration of regular semisimple Lusztig varieties to regular semisimple Hessenberg varieties. In particular, this proves a conjecture of Abreu and Nigro on the homeomorphism types of regular semisimple Lusztig varieties in type $A$, and generalizes it to arbitrary Lie types.
The Lehmer complex of a Bruhat interval
We introduce Lehmer codes, with immersions in the Bruhat order, for several finite Coxeter groups, including all the classical Weyl groups. This allows to associate to each lower Bruhat interval of these groups a multicomplex whose f-polynomial is the Poincaré polynomial of the interval. Via a general construction, we prove that these polynomials are h-polynomials of vertex-decomposable simplicial complexes. Moreover we provide a classification, in terms of unimodal permutations, of Poincaré polynomials of smooth Schubert varieties in flag manifolds.
Borel-type presentation of the torus-equivariant quantum $K$-ring of flag manifolds of type $C$
We give a Borel-type presentation of the torus-equivariant (small) quantum $K$-ring of flag manifolds of type $C$.
Smooth Points on Positroid Varieties
In the Grassmannian $Gr_{\mathbb{C}}(k,n)$ we have positroid varieties $Π_f$, each indexed by a bounded affine permutation $f$ and containing torus-fixed points $λ\in Π_f$. In this paper we consider the partially ordered set consisting of quadruples $(k,n,Π_f,λ)$ (or \textit{(positroid) pairs} $(Π_f,λ)$ for short). The partial order is the ordering given by the covering relation $\lessdot$ where $(Π_f',λ') \lessdot (Π_f,λ)$ if $Π_f'$ is obtained by $Π_f$ by \textit{deletion} or \textit{contraction.} Using the results of Snider [2010], we know that positroid varieties can be studied in a neighborhood of each of these points by \textit{affine pipe dreams.} Our main theorem provides a quick test of when a positroid variety is smooth at one of these given points. It is sufficient to test smoothness of a positroid variety by using the main result to test smoothness at each of these points. These results can also be applied to the question of whether Schubert varieties in flag manifolds are smooth at points given by 321-avoiding permutations, as studied in Graham/Kreimer [2020]. We have a secondary result, which describes the minimal singular positroid pairs in our ordering - these are the positroid pairs where any deletion or contraction causes it to become smooth.
Combinatorial Curve Neighborhood of the Affine Flag Manifold of Type $A_{n-1}^1$
Let $\mathscr{X}$ be the affine flag manifold of Lie type $A_{n-1}^{(1)}$ where $n \geq 3$ and let $W_{\text{aff}}$ be the associated affine Weyl group. The moment graph for $\mathscr{X}$ encodes the torus fixed points (corresponding to elements of the affine Weyl group $W_{\text{aff}}$) and the torus stable curves in $\mathscr{X}$. Given a fixed point $u\in W_{\text{aff}}$ and a degree $\mathbf{d}=(d_0,d_1,...,d_{n-1})\in \mathbb{Z}_{\geq 0}^{n}$, the combinatorial curve neighborhood is the set of maximal elements in the moment graph of $\mathscr{X}$ which can be reached from $u'\leq u$ by a chain of curves of total degree $\leq \mathbf{d}$. In this paper we give combinatorial formulas and algorithms for calculating these elements in $\mathscr{X}$.

In this paper, we give a rule for the multiplication of a Schubert class by a tautological
class in the (small) quantum cohomology ring of the flag manifold.
As an intermediate step, we establish a formula for the multiplication of
a Schubert class by a quantum Schur polynomial indexed by a hook partition.
This entails a detailed analysis of chains and intervals in the
quantum Bruhat order.
This analysis allows us to use results of Leung--Li and of Postnikov to reduce quantum
products by hook Schur polynomials to the (known) classical product.
Link patterns and elliptic Hecke algebra
We compare the following three families of geometric objects: Schubert varieties in flag manifolds, matrix Schubert varieties, and Borel orbits of 2-nilpotent matrices. The first family is governed by permutations, the second by partial permutations, and the last one by "link patterns". These geometric objects admit characteristic classes in equivariant elliptic cohomology obtained within the framework created by Borisov and Libgober. We construct a Hecke-type algebra for computing elliptic classes and extend its action to include partial permutations and linking patterns. A uniform point of view facilitates a better understanding of duality.
A generalization of quantum Lakshmibai-Seshadri paths for arbitrary weights
We construct an injective weight-preserving map (called the forgetful map) from the set of all admissible subsets in the quantum alcove model associated to an arbitrary weight. The image of this forgetful map can be explicitly described by introducing the notion of "interpolated quantum Lakshmibai-Seshadri (QLS for short) paths", which can be thought of as a generalization of quantum Lakshmibai-Seshadri paths. As an application, we reformulate, in terms of interpolated QLS paths, an identity of Chevalley type for the graded characters of Demazure submodules of a level-zero extremal weight module over a quantum affine algebra, which is a representation-theoretic analog of the Chevalley formula for the torus-equivariant $K$-group of a semi-infinite flag manifold.

We prove a Chevalley formula to multiply the motivic Chern classes of Schubert cells in a generalized flag manifold $G/P$ by the class of any line bundle $\mathcal{L}_λ$. Our formula is given in terms of the $λ$-chains of Lenart and Postnikov. Its proof relies on a change of basis formula in the affine Hecke algebra due to Ram, and on the Hecke algebra action on torus-equivariant K-theory of the complete flag manifold $G/B$ via left Demazure--Lusztig operators. We revisit some wall-crossing formulae for the stable envelopes in $T^*(G/B)$. We use our Chevalley formula, and the equivalence between motivic Chern classes of Schubert cells and K-theoretic stable envelopes in $T^*(G/B)$, to give formulae for the change of polarization, and for the change of slope for stable envelopes. We prove several additional applications, including Serre, star, and Dynkin, dualities of the Chevalley coefficients, new formulae for the Whittaker functions, and for the Hall--Littlewood polynomials. We also discuss positivity properties of Chevalley coefficients, and properties of the coefficients arising from multiplication by minuscule weights.
Generalized root systems
We generalize the notion of a root system by relaxing the conditions that ensure that it is invariant under reflections and study the resulting structures, which we call generalized root systems (GRSs for short). Since both Kostant root systems and root systems of Lie superalgebras are examples of GRSs, studying GRSs provides a uniform axiomatic approach to studying both of them. GRSs inherit many of the properties of root systems. In particular, every GRS defines a crystallographic hyperplane arrangement. We believe that GRSs provide an intrinsic counterpart to finite Weyl groupoids and crystallographic hyperplane arrangements, extending the relationship between finite Weyl groupoids and crystallographic hyperplane arrangements established by Cuntz. An important difference between GRSs and root systems is that GRSs may lack a (large enough) Weyl group. In order to compensate for this, we introduce the notion of a virtual reflection, building on a construction of Penkov and Serganova in the context of root systems of Lie superalgebras.
The most significant new feature of GRSs is that, along with subsystems, one can define quotient GRSs. Both Kostant root systems and root systems of Lie superalgebras are equivalent to quotients of root systems and all root systems are isomorphic to quotients of simply-laced root systems. We classify all rank 2 GRSs and show that they are equivalent to quotients of root systems. Finally, we discuss in detail quotients of root systems. In particular we provide all isomorphisms and equivalences among them. Our results on quotient of root systems provide a different point of view on flag manifolds, reproving results of Alekseevsky and Graev.
