Some combinatorial aspects of generalised Bott-Samelson varieties
We obtain two combinatorial results: an equality of Weyl groups and an inequality of roots, in the setting of generalised Bott-Samelson resolutions of minuscule Schubert varieties. These results are used in the companion paper [BK19] to describe minimal rational curves on these resolutions, and their relation to lines on the Schubert varieties.
Cyclotomic quiver Hecke algebras corresponding to minuscule representations
In the paper, we give an explicit basis of the cyclotomic quiver Hecke algebra corresponding to a minuscule representation of finite type.

We describe a relationship between work of Laksov, Gatto, and their collaborators on realizations of (generalized) Schubert calculus of Grassmannians, and the geometric Satake correspondence of Lusztig, Ginzburg, and Mirković and Vilonen. Along the way we obtain new proofs of equivariant Giambelli formulas for the ordinary and orthogonal Grassmannians, as well as a simple derivation of the "rim-hook" rule for computing in the equivariant quantum cohomology of the Grassmannian.
Antichain generating polynomials of posets
This paper gives a formula for the antichain generating polynomial $\mathcal{N}_{[k]\times Q}$ of the poset $[k]\times Q$, where $[k]$ is an arbitrary chain and $Q$ is any finite graded poset. When $Q$ specializes to be a connected minuscule poet, which was classified by Proctor in 1984, we find that the polynomial $\mathcal{N}_{[k]\times Q}$ bears nice properties. For instance, we will recover the $B_n$-Narayana polynomial and the $D_{2n+2}$-Narayana polynomial. We collect evidence for the conjecture that whenever $\mathcal{N}_{[k]\times P}(x)$ is palindromic, it must be $γ$-positive. Moreover, the family $\mathcal{N}_{[2]\times [n]\times [m]}$ should be real-rooted and $\mathcal{N}_{[2]\times [n]\times [n+1]}$ should be $γ$-positive. We also conjecture that $\mathcal{N}_{Q}(x)$ is log-concave (thus unimodal) for any connected Peck poset $Q$.
Strong minuscule elements in the finite Weyl groups
We introduce the notion of a strong minuscule element, and prove that the dominant integral weight associated to a strong minuscule element is the fundamental weight corresponding to a short simple root. In addition, we enumerate the strong minuscule elements explicitly, and then as an application of this enumeration, determine the dimension of certain Demazure modules in the finite-dimensional irreducible modules whose highest weights are minuscule weights.
Minuscule reverse plane partitions via quiver representations
The Hillman--Grassl correspondence is a well-known bijection between multisets of rim hooks of a partition shape $λ$ and reverse plane partitions of $λ$. We use the tools of quiver representations to generalize Hillman--Grassl in type $A$ and to define an analogue in all minuscule types. This is an extended abstract prepared for FPSAC 2019 based on arXiv:1812.08345, emphasizing its combinatorial aspects.

We relate Reiner, Tenner, and Yong's coincidental down-degree expectations (CDE) property of posets to the minuscule doppelgänger pairs studied by Hamaker, Patrias, Pechenik, and Williams. Via this relation, we put forward a series of conjectures which suggest that the minuscule doppelgänger pairs behave "as if" they had isomorphic comparability graphs, even though they do not. We further explore the idea of minuscule doppelgänger pairs pretending to have isomorphic comparability graphs by considering the rowmotion operator on order ideals. We conjecture that the members of a minuscule doppelgänger pair behave the same way under rowmotion, as they would if they had isomorphic comparability graphs. Moreover, we conjecture that these pairs continue to behave the same way under the piecewise-linear and birational liftings of rowmotion introduced by Einstein and Propp. This conjecture motivates us to study the homomesies (in the sense of Propp and Roby) exhibited by birational rowmotion. We establish the birational analog of the antichain cardinality homomesy for the major examples of posets known or conjectured to have finite birational rowmotion order (namely: minuscule posets and root posets of coincidental type).
Minuscule reverse plane partitions via quiver representations
A nilpotent endomorphism of a quiver representation induces a linear transformation on the vector space at each vertex. Generically among all nilpotent endomorphisms, there is a well-defined Jordan form for these linear transformations, which is an interesting new invariant of a quiver representation. If $Q$ is a Dynkin quiver and $m$ is a minuscule vertex, we show that representations consisting of direct sums of indecomposable representations all including $m$ in their support, the category of which we denote by $\mathcal{C}_{Q,m}$, are determined up to isomorphism by this invariant. We use this invariant to define a bijection from isomorphism classes of representations in $\mathcal{C}_{Q,m}$ to reverse plane partitions whose shape is the minuscule poset corresponding to $Q$ and $m$. By relating the piecewise-linear promotion action on reverse plane partitions to Auslander-Reiten translation in the derived category, we give a uniform proof that the order of promotion equals the Coxeter number. In type $A_n$, we show that special cases of our bijection include the Robinson-Schensted-Knuth and Hillman-Grassl correspondences.
Finite diamond-colored modular and distributive lattices with applications to combinatorial Lie representation theory
A modular or distributive lattice is `diamond-colored' if its order diagram edges are colored in such a way that, within any diamond of edges, parallel edges have the same color. Such lattices arise naturally in combinatorial representation theory, particularly in the study of poset models for semisimple Lie algebra representations and their companion Weyl group symmetric functions. One of our goals is to gather in one place some elementary but foundational results concerning these lattice structures; this includes some new results as well as some new interpretations of classical results. We then develop many points of contact between diamond-colored modular/distributive lattices and combinatorial Lie representation theory, leading to some new Dynkin diagram classification results and some new results concerning minuscule and quasi-minuscule representations.

R.M. Green described structural properties that ``doubly infinite'' colored posets should possess so that they can be used to construct representations of most affine Kac--Moody algebras. These representations are analogs of the minuscule representations of the semisimple Lie algebras, and his posets (``full heaps'') are analogs of the finite minuscule posets. Here only simply laced Kac--Moody algebras are considered. Working with their derived subalgebras, we provide a converse to Green's theorem. Smaller collections of colored structural properties are also shown to be necessary and sufficient for such poset-built representations to be produced for smaller subalgebras, especially the ``Borel derived'' subalgebra. These developments lead to the formulation of unified definitions of finite and infinite colored minuscule and $d$-complete posets. This paper launches a program that seeks to extend the notion of ``minuscule representation'' to Kac--Moody algebras, and to classify such representations.

The jeu-de-taquin-based Littlewood-Richardson rule of H. Thomas and A. Yong (2009) for minuscule varieties has been extended in two orthogonal directions, either enriching the cohomology theory or else expanding the family of varieties considered. In one direction, A. Buch and M. Samuel (2016) developed a combinatorial theory of "unique rectification targets" in minuscule posets to extend the Thomas-Yong rule from ordinary cohomology to $K$-theory. Separately, P.-E. Chaput and N. Perrin (2012) used the combinatorics of R. Proctor's "$d$-complete posets" to extend the Thomas-Yong rule from minuscule varieties to a broader class of Kac-Moody structure constants. We begin to address the unification of these theories. Our main result is the existence of unique rectification targets in a large class of $d$-complete posets. From this result, we obtain conjectural positive combinatorial formulas for certain $K$-theoretic Schubert structure constants in the Kac-Moody setting.

For each minuscule flag variety $X$, there is a corresponding minuscule poset, describing its Schubert decomposition. We study an action on plane partitions over such posets, introduced by P. Cameron and D. Fon-der-Flaass (1995). For plane partitions of height at most $2$, D. Rush and X. Shi (2013) proved an instance of the cyclic sieving phenomenon, completely describing the orbit structure of this action. They noted their result does not extend to greater heights in general; however, when $X$ is one of the two minuscule flag varieties of exceptional Lie type $E$, they conjectured explicit instances of cyclic sieving for all heights.
We prove their conjecture in the case that $X$ is the Cayley-Moufang plane of type $E_6$. For the other exceptional minuscule flag variety, the Freudenthal variety of type $E_7$, we establish their conjecture for heights at most $4$, but show that it fails generally. We further give a new proof of an unpublished cyclic sieving of D. Rush and X. Shi (2011) for plane partitions of any height in the case $X$ is an even-dimensional quadric hypersurface. Our argument uses ideas of K. Dilks, O. Pechenik, and J. Striker (2017) to relate the action on plane partitions to combinatorics derived from $K$-theoretic Schubert calculus.

The puzzle rules for computing Schubert calculus on $d$-step flag manifolds, proven in [Knutson Tao 2003] for $1$-step, in [Buch Kresch Purbhoo Tamvakis 2016] for $2$-step, and conjectured in [Coskun Vakil 2009] for $3$-step, lead to vector configurations (one vector for each puzzle edge label) that we recognize as the weights of some minuscule representations. The $R$-matrices of those representations (which, for $2$-step flag manifolds, involve triality of $D_4$) degenerate to give us puzzle formulae for two previously unsolved Schubert calculus problems: $K_T(2$-step flag manifolds$)$ and $K(3$-step flag manifolds$)$. The $K(3$-step flag manifolds$)$ formula, which involves 151 new puzzle pieces, implies Buch's correction to the first author's 1999 conjecture for $H^*(3$-step flag manifolds$)$.
Growth Diagrams and Minuscule Polygon Configurations in the Affine Grassmannian
We define affine growth diagrams consisting of $GL_m$ dominant weights that label the vertices of a staircase-shaped grid. These are also called cylindrical growth diagrams as defined by Speyer and White in the case of partitions. The weights labelling each adjacent pair of vertices differ by a vertical strip and the weights around each unit square satisfy a local condition that appeared in van Leeuwen's work on the Littelmann path model for crystals.
We prove two main results. For a sequence of minuscule weights $\vecλ=(λ^1,\ldots,λ^n)$ let Poly$(\vecλ)$ denote the configuration space of $n$-tuples of points $(g_1,\ldots,g_n)$ in the affine Grassmannian such that the weight-valued distances satisfy $d(g_i,g_{i+1})=λ^i$. This is the convolution variety arising in the geometric Satake correspondence. We show that for a generic point $(g_1,\ldots,g_n)$ of a component the distances $d(g_i,g_j)$ form an affine growth diagram and that this gives a bijection between components of Poly$(\vecλ)$ and affine growth diagrams of type $\vecλ$. The main tool used in the proof is the Knutson--Tao hive.
In the second part, we give a purely combinatorial construction of affine growth diagrams from natural number entries by applying Greene's theorem to certain subrectangles of the staircase. From this construction it follows that affine growth diagrams contain the classical Fomin growth diagrams and realize the RS-correspondence when $\vecλ=(ω_1,\ldots,ω_1,ω_1^*,\ldots,ω_1^*)$.

First we develop the theory of local rules for coboundary categories. Then we describe the local rules in two main cases. First for the quantum groups in general and in the seminormal representations of the Hecke algebras. Then for crystals in general and specifically for crystals of minuscule representations. Finally we show how growth diagrams can be extended to construct the action of the cactus group on highest weight words.
Homomesy in products of three chains and multidimensional recombination

J. Propp and T. Roby isolated a phenomenon in which a statistic on a set has the same average value over any orbit as its global average, naming it homomesy. They proved that the cardinality statistic on order ideals of the product of two chains poset under rowmotion exhibits homomesy. In this paper, we prove an analogous result in the case of the product of three chains where one chain has two elements. In order to prove this result, we generalize from two to $n$ dimensions the recombination technique that D. Einstein and Propp developed to study homomesy. We see that our main homomesy result does not fully generalize to an arbitrary product of three chains, nor to larger products of chains; however, we have a partial generalization to an arbitrary product of three chains. Additional corollaries include refined homomesy results in the product of three chains and a new result on increasing tableaux. We conclude with a generalization of recombination to any ranked poset and a homomesy result for the Type B minuscule poset cross a two element chain.
The mirror conjecture for minuscule flag varieties

We prove Rietsch's mirror conjecture that the Dubrovin quantum connection for minuscule flag varieties is isomorphic to the character D-module of the Berenstein-Kazhdan geometric crystal. The idea is to recognize the quantum connection as Galois and the geometric crystal as automorphic. We reveal surprising relations with the works of Frenkel-Gross, Heinloth-Ngô-Yun, and Zhu on Kloosterman sheaves. The isomorphism comes from global rigidity results where Hecke eigensheaves are determined by their local ramification. As corollaries we obtain combinatorial identities for counts of rational curves and the Peterson variety presentation of the small quantum cohomology ring.
On Order Ideals of Minuscule Posets III: The CDE Property
Recent work of Hopkins establishes that the lattice of order ideals of a minuscule poset satisfies the coincidental down-degree expectations property of Reiner, Tenner, and Yong. His approach appeals to the classification of minuscule posets. A uniform proof is presented herein.
The blueprint follows that of Rush and Wang in their uniform proof that various cardinality statistics are homomesic on orbits of order ideals of minuscule posets under the Fon-Der-Flaass action. The underpinning remains the original insight of Rush and Shi into the structure of the isomorphism between the weight lattice of a minuscule representation of a complex simple Lie algebra and the lattice of order ideals of the corresponding minuscule poset.

Reiner, Tenner, and Yong recently introduced the coincidental down-degree expectations (CDE) property for finite posets and showed that many nice posets are CDE. In this paper we further explore the CDE property, resolving a number of conjectures about CDE posets put forth by Reiner-Tenner-Yong. A consequence of our work is the completion of a case-by-case proof that any minuscule lattice is CDE. We also explain two major applications of the study of CDE posets: formulas for certain classes of set-valued tableaux; and homomesy results for rowmotion and gyration acting on sets of order ideals.
