Jack Content Operators and the Deformed ${\mathcal W}_{1+\infty}$ Algebra
Frenkel and Wang obtained a representation of the Virasoro algebra by commuting Goulden's cut-and-join operator with the Heisenberg generators. A vertex-operator construction by Lascoux and the author extends this representation to $\mathcal W_{1+\infty}$ by means of differential operators whose eigenvalues are the power sums of the contents of a Young diagram. We develop a Jack deformation in the spherical degenerate double affine Hecke algebra and its stable limit. Starting from the Heckman--Polychronakos integrals, we isolate operators whose eigenvalues are the power sums of the $α$-contents. Because the Goulden--Jackson product is defined in the convention dual to the usual Calogero--Sutherland Hamiltonians, the multiplication operators $Δ_μ(α)$ are obtained by taking Hall adjoints. This gives conceptual derivations of the Jack cut-and-join operator and of the stable $3$-cycle operator. A normal-ordering construction due to Sergeev and Veselov makes the latter calculation explicit and suggests an integral form over $\mathbb Z[α]$. The commutators of the cut-and-join operator contain one half of the usual Feigin--Fuchs realization, but this Virasoro completion is not the deformation of the Frenkel--Wang construction. The latter takes place in the deformed $\mathcal W_{1+\infty}$ algebra $\mathbf{SH}^c$, equivalently in the affine Yangian of $\mathfrak{gl}_1$: in our normalization its first nontrivial Cartan mode is $ψ_3=3Δ_2(α)+2(α-1)E$, and its commutators with the first raising and lowering modes recursively generate the remaining currents. At $α=1$ these relations specialize to the central-charge-one $\mathcal W_{1+\infty}$ representation used by Lascoux and the author.
Stable Limit DAHA of type $(C^{\vee},C)$ and Stable Limit Koornwinder Polynomials
We construct two stable limit representations of the double affine Hecke algebra of type $(C^\vee,C)$ on the space of almost symmetric Laurent polynomials, namely the positive and negative stable limit representations. Starting from the standard polynomial representation of the finite rank DAHA of type $(C_n^\vee,C_n)$, we study the asymptotic behavior of the Cherednik operators under the two natural rescalings by positive and negative powers of the parameter $t$. We prove that these rescaled Cherednik operators admit well-defined limits on the ring of almost symmetric Laurent polynomials. This yields stable positive and negative actions of a common stable limit DAHA. The action of the limit Cherednik operators is also proven to be triangular on a natural basis of almost symmetric Laurent polynomials labeled by tuple-partition symbols with respect to the induced Bruhat order. We further construct for each of the two stable limit representations a set of simultaneous eigenfunctions of the limit Cherednik operators using the partial symmetrization operators acting on the non-symmetric Koornwinder polynomials. We show that each of the two sets of the eigenfunctions form a basis of the space of almost symmetric Laurent polynomials, and denote them by the positive and negative stable limit Koornwinder polynomials.
Pseudo-centralizers in affine Hecke algebras
We introduce and study a subalgebra $\mathcal{B}$ of the affine Hecke algebra, which arises from a centralizer construction in the double affine Hecke algebra, and which may be regarded as a $v$-deformation of the affine Fomin-Stanley subalgebra introduced by Lam as a combinatorial model for the affine Grassmannian homology ring. In types $\mathsf{A}_n$ and $\mathsf{B}_2$ and $\mathsf{G}_2$, we show that $\mathcal{B}_\mathrm{aff}$ admits a canonical basis indexed by the cosets of the finite Weyl group in the affine Weyl group. We also discuss conjectural positivity properties of the canonical basis and explain how it can be used to study the center of the affine Hecke algebra.
Symmetric polynomials: DIM integrable systems versus twisted Cherednik systems
We discuss interrelations between eigenfunctions of the Hamiltonians associated with the commutative (integer ray) subalgebras of the Ding-Iohara-Miki algebra and those of the twisted Cherednik system. In the case of $t=q^{-m}$ with natural $m$, eigenfunctions of the first system of Hamiltonians are the twisted Baker-Akhiezer functions (BAFs) introduced by O. Chalykh, while eigenfunctions of the twisted Cherednik Hamiltonians are twisted non-symmetric Macdonald polynomials. Actually, the twisted Cherednik ground state is symmetric and coincides with a peculiar symmetric BAF. We lift this correspondence to excited states, and claim that both Cherednik eigenfunctions and BAF's can be combined to produce symmetric functions, which coincide with each other and are eigenfunctions of the both DIM Hamiltonians and power sums of the twisted Cherednik Hamiltonians at once. This reflects the correspondence between the DIM algebra and the spherical DAHA explicitly.
The nonsymmetric shuffle theorem
The shuffle conjecture of Haglund et al. expresses the symmetric function $\nabla e_n$ as a sum over labeled Dyck paths. Here $\nabla$ is an operator on symmetric functions defined in terms of its diagonal action on the basis of modified Macdonald polynomials. The shuffle conjecture was later refined by Haglund-Morse-Zabrocki to the compositional shuffle conjecture, expressing $\nabla C_α$ as a sum over labeled Dyck paths with touchpoints specified by $α$, where $C_α$ is a compositional Hall-Littlewood polynomial. Carlsson-Mellit settled both versions by developing the theory of a variant of the DAHA called the double Dyck path algebra.
In a recent paper, we discovered a notion of nonsymmetric plethsym which led us to a construction of modified nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials $\mathsf{H}_{η|λ}(\mathbf{x};q,t)$. These polynomials Weyl symmetrize to their symmetric counterparts and are conjecturally atom positive. Here we introduce a nonsymmetric version $\boldsymbol{\nabla}$ of $\nabla$, now acting diagonally on the basis given by the functions $\mathsf{H}_{η|λ}(\mathbf{x};q,t)$. Weaving together our theory with results of Carlsson-Mellit and Mellit, we establish a nonsymmetric version of the compositional shuffle theorem, which equates $\boldsymbol{\nabla}^{-1}$ applied to a nonsymmetric version $\mathsf{C}_α$ of $C_α$ with a sum over flagged labeled Dyck paths with touchpoints given by $α$. This combinatorial sum is conjecturally atom positive, refining the known Schur positivity of its symmetric counterpart.
The stable limit DAHA: the structure of the standard representation
We prove a number of results about the structure of the standard representation of the stable limit DAHA. More precisely, we address the triangularity, spectrum, and eigenfunctions of the limit Cherednik operators, and construct several PBW-type bases for the stable limit DAHA. We establish a remarkable triangularity property concerning the contribution of certain special elements of the PBW basis of a finite rank DAHA of high enough rank to the PBW expansion of a PBW basis element of the stable limit DAHA. The triangularity property implies the faithfulness of the standard representation. This shows that the algebraic structure defined by the limit operators associated to elements of the finite rank DAHAs is precisely the stable limit DAHA.
Higher Rank Macdonald Polynomials
In this paper, we introduce higher rank generalizations of Macdonald polynomials. The higher rank non-symmetric Macdonald polynomials are Laurent polynomials in several sets of variables which form weight bases for higher rank polynomial representations of double affine Hecke algebras with respect to higher rank Cherednik operators. We prove that these polynomials satisfy generalized versions of the classical Knop--Sahi relations and we give combinatorial descriptions of their weights. The higher rank symmetric Macdonald polynomials are defined as Hecke-symmetrizations of the higher rank non-symmetric Macdonald polynomials and form eigenbases for the spaces of Hecke-invariant higher rank polynomials with respect to generalized finite variable Macdonald operators. We prove that the higher rank symmetric Macdonald polynomials satisfy stability properties allowing for the construction of infinite variable limits. These higher rank symmetric Macdonald functions form eigenbases for certain representations of the (positive) elliptic Hall algebra with respect to generalized infinite variable Macdonald operators. Lastly, we show that the higher rank polynomial representations may be used to construct higher rank polynomial representations of the double Dyck path algebra. This is a copy of the author's accepted extended abstract for FPSAC2025.
Double Dyck Path Algebra Representations From DAHA
The double Dyck path algebra $\mathbb{A}_{q,t}$ was introduced by Carlsson-Mellit in their proof of the Shuffle Theorem. A variant of this algebra, $\mathbb{B}_{q,t}$, was introduced by Carlsson-Gorsky-Mellit in their study of the parabolic flag Hilbert schemes of points in $\mathbb{C}^2$ showing that $\mathbb{B}_{q,t}$ acts naturally on the equivariant $K$-theory of these spaces. The algebraic relations defining $\mathbb{B}_{q,t}$ appear superficially similar to those of the positive double affine Hecke algebras (DAHA) in type $GL$, $\mathscr{D}_n^{+}$, introduced by Cherednik. In this paper we provide a general method for constructing $\mathbb{B}_{q,t}$ representations from DAHA representations. In particular, every $\mathscr{D}_n^{+}$ module yields a representation of a subalgebra $\mathbb{B}_{q,t}^{(n)}$ of $\mathbb{B}_{q,t}$ and special families of compatible DAHA representations give representations of $\mathbb{B}_{q,t}$. These constructions are functorial. Lastly, we will construct a large family of $\mathbb{B}_{q,t}$ representations indexed by partitions using this method related to the Murnaghan-type representations of the positive elliptic Hall algebra introduced previously by the author.
Clebsch-Gordan coefficients for Macdonald polynomials
In this paper we use the double affine Hecke algebra to compute the Macdonald polynomial products $E_\ell P_m$ and $P_\ell P_m$ for type $SL_2$ and type $GL_2$ Macdonald polynomials. Our method follows the ideas of Martha Yip but executes a compression to reduce the sum from $2\cdot 3^{\ell-1}$ signed terms to $2\ell$ positive terms. We show that our rule for $P_\ell P_m$ is equivalent to a special case of the Pieri rule of Macdonald. Our method shows that computing $E_\ell\mathbf{1}_0$ and $\mathbf{1}_0 E_\ell \mathbf{1}_0$ in terms of a special basis of the double affine Hecke algebra provides universal compressed formulas for multiplication by $E_\ell$ and $P_\ell$. The formulas for a specific products $E_\ell P_m$ and $P_\ell P_m$ are obtained by evaluating the universal formulas at $t^{-\frac12}q^{-\frac{m}{2}}$.
Monotone links in DAHA and EHA
We define monotone links on a torus, obtained as projections of curves in the plane whose coordinates are monotone increasing. Using the work of Morton-Samuelson, to each monotone link we associate elements in the double affine Hecke algebra and the elliptic Hall algebra. In the case of torus knots (when the curve is a straight line), we recover symmetric function operators appearing in the rational shuffle conjecture.
We show that the class of monotone links viewed as links in $\mathbb R^3$ coincides with the class of Coxeter links, studied by Oblomkov-Rozansky in the setting of the flag Hilbert scheme. When the curve satisfies a convexity condition, we recover positroid links that we previously studied. In the convex case, we conjecture that the associated symmetric functions are Schur positive, extending a recent conjecture of Blasiak-Haiman-Morse-Pun-Seelinger, and we speculate on the relation to Khovanov-Rozansky homology.
Our constructions satisfy a skein recurrence where the base case consists of piecewise almost linear curves. We show that convex piecewise almost linear curves give rise to algebraic links.
Stable-Limit Non-symmetric Macdonald Functions
We construct and study an explicit simultaneous $\mathscr{Y}$-eigenbasis of Ion and Wu's standard representation of the $^+$stable-limit double affine Hecke algebra for the limit Cherednik operators $\mathscr{Y}_i$. This basis arises as a generalization of Cherednik's non-symmetric Macdonald polynomials of type $GL$. We utilize links between $^+$stable-limit double affine Hecke algebra theory of Ion-Wu and the double Dyck path algebra of Carlsson-Mellit that arose in their proof of the Shuffle Conjecture. As a consequence, the spectral theory for the limit Cherednik operators is understood. The symmetric functions comprise the zero weight space. We introduce one extra operator that commutes with the $\mathscr{Y}_i$ action and dramatically refines the weight spaces to now be one-dimensional. This operator, up to a change of variables, gives an extension of Haiman's operator $Δ'$ from $Λ$ to $\mathscr{P}_{as}^{+}.$ Additionally, we develop another method to build this weight basis using limits of trivial idempotents.
Symmetry and Pieri rules for the bisymmetric Macdonald polynomials
Bisymmetric Macdonald polynomials can be obtained through a process of antisymmetrization and $t$-symmetrization of non-symmetric Macdonald polynomials. Using the double affine Hecke algebra, we show that the evaluation of the bisymmetric Macdonald polynomials satisfies a symmetry property generalizing that satisfied by the usual Macdonald polynomials. We then obtain Pieri rules for the bisymmetric Macdonald polynomials where the sums are over certain vertical strips.
Higher rank $(q,t)$-Catalan polynomials, affine Springer fibers, and a finite Rational Shuffle Theorem
We introduce the higher rank $(q,t)$-Catalan polynomials and prove they equal truncations of the Hikita polynomial to a finite number of variables. Using affine compositions and a certain standardization map, we define a dinv statistic on rank $r$ semistandard $(m,n)$-parking functions and prove codinv counts the dimension of an affine space in an affine paving of a parabolic affine Springer fiber. Combining these results, we give a finite analogue of the Rational Shuffle Theorem in the context of double affine Hecke algebras. Lastly, we also give a Bizley-type formula for the higher rank Catalan numbers in the non-coprime case.
Stable-Limit Non-symmetric Macdonald Functions in Type A
We construct and study an explicit simultaneous $\mathscr{Y}$ eigenbasis of Ion and Wu's standard representation of the $^+$stable-limit double affine Hecke algebra for the limit Cherednik operators $\mathscr{Y}_i$. This basis arises as a generalization of Cherednik's non-symmetric Macdonald polynomials of type $GL_n$. We utilize links between $^+$stable-limit double affine Hecke algebra theory of Ion and Wu and the double Dyck path algebra of Carlsson and Mellit that arose in their proof of the Shuffle Conjecture. As a consequence, the spectral theory for the limit Cherednik operators is understood.

The $SL(2,\mathbb Z)$-symmetry of Cherednik's spherical double affine Hecke algebras in Macdonald theory includes a distinguished generator which acts as a discrete time evolution of Macdonald operators, which can also be interpreted as a torus Dehn twist in type $A$. We prove for all twisted and untwisted affine algebras of type $ABCD$ that the time-evolved $q$-difference Macdonald operators, in the $t\to\infty$ $q$-Whittaker limit, form a representation of the associated discrete integrable quantum Q-systems, which are obtained, in all but one case, via the canonical quantization of suitable cluster algebras. The proof relies strongly on the duality property of Macdonald and Koornwinder polynomials, which allows, in the $q$-Whittaker limit, for a unified description of the quantum Q-system variables and the conserved quantities as limits of the time-evolved Macdonald operators and the Pieri operators, respectively. The latter are identified with relativistic $q$-difference Toda Hamiltonians. A crucial ingredient in the proof is the use of the "Fourier transformed" picture, in which we compute time-translation operators and prove that they commute with the Pieri operators or Hamiltonians. We also discuss the universal solutions of Koornwinder-Macdonald eigenvalue and Pieri equations, for which we prove a duality relation, which simplifies the proofs further.

Analogously to the construction of Suzuki and Vazirani, we construct representations of the $GL_m$-type Double Affine Hecke Algebra at roots of unity. These representations are graded and the weight spaces for the $X$-variables are parametrized by the combinatorial objects we call doubly periodic tableaux. We show that our representations exhaust all graded $X$-semisimple representations, and the direct sum of all our representations is faithful. Analogously to the construction of Jordan and Vazirani of rectangular DAHA representations, we show that our representations can be interpreted in terms of ribbon fusion categories associated to $U_q(\mathfrak{gl}_N)$ at roots of unity. Combining the ribbon structure with faithfulness we deduce a conjecture of Morton and Samuelson about realization of DAHA as a skein algebra of the torus with base string modulo certain local relations.

The paper compares (and reproves) the alcove walk and the nonattacking fillings formulas for type $GL_n$ Macdonald polynomials which were given in Haglund-Haiman-Loehr arXiv:math.CO/0601693, Alexandersson arXiv:1602.05153 and Ram-Yip arXiv:0803.1146. The "compression" relating the two formulas in this paper is the same as that of Lenart arXiv:0804.4716. We have reformulated it so that it holds without conditions and so that the proofs of the alcove walk formula and the nonattacking fillings formula are parallel. This reformulation highlights the role of the double affine Hecke algebra and Cherednik's intertwiners. An exposition of the type $GL_n$ double affine braid group, double affine Hecke algebra, and all definitions and proofs regarding Macdonald polynomials are provided to make this paper self contained.

We study the compatibility of the action of the DAHA of type GL with two inverse systems of polynomial rings obtained from the standard Laurent polynomial representations. In both cases, the crucial analysis is that of the compatibility of the action of the Cherednik operators. Each case leads to a representation of a limit structure (the +/- stable limit DAHA) on a space of almost symmetric polynomials in infinitely many variables (the standard representation). As an application, we show that the defining representation of the double Dyck path algebra arises from the standard representation of the +stable limit DAHA.

We prove an explicit inverse Chevalley formula in the equivariant $K$-theory of semi-infinite flag manifolds of simply-laced type. By an inverse Chevalley formula, we mean a formula for the product of an equivariant scalar with a Schubert class, expressed as a $\mathbb{Z}[q^{\pm 1}]$-linear combination of Schubert classes twisted by equivariant line bundles. Our formula applies to arbitrary Schubert classes in semi-infinite flag manifolds of simply-laced type and equivariant scalars $e^λ$, where $λ$ is an arbitrary minuscule weight. By a result of Stembridge, our formula completely determines the inverse Chevalley formula for arbitrary weights in simply-laced type, except for type $E_8$. The combinatorics of our formula is governed by the quantum Bruhat graph, and the proof is based on a limit from the double affine Hecke algebra. As such, our formula also provides an explicit determination of all nonsymmetric $q$-Toda operators for minuscule weights in ADE type.

Assume that $\mathbb F$ is an algebraically closed field and let $q$ denote a nonzero scalar in $\mathbb F$ that is not a root of unity. The universal Askey--Wilson algebra $\triangle_q$ is a unital associative $\mathbb F$-algebra defined by generators and relations. The generators are $A,B, C$ and the relations state that each of $$ A+\frac{q BC-q^{-1} CB}{q^2-q^{-2}}, \qquad B+\frac{q CA-q^{-1} AC}{q^2-q^{-2}}, \qquad C+\frac{q AB-q^{-1} BA}{q^2-q^{-2}} $$ is central in $\triangle_q$. The universal DAHA (double affine Hecke algebra) $\mathfrak H_q$ of type $(C_1^\vee,C_1)$ is a unital associative $\mathbb F$-algebra generated by $\{t_i^{\pm 1}\}_{i=0}^3$ and the relations state that \begin{gather*} t_it_i^{-1}=t_i^{-1} t_i=1 \quad \hbox{for all $i=0,1,2,3$}; \\ \hbox{$t_i+t_i^{-1}$ is central} \quad \hbox{for all $i=0,1,2,3$}; \\ t_0t_1t_2t_3=q^{-1}. \end{gather*} Each $\mathfrak H_q$-module is a $\triangle_q$-module by pulling back via the injection $\triangle_q\to \mathfrak H_q$ given by \begin{eqnarray*} A &\mapsto & t_1 t_0+(t_1 t_0)^{-1}, \\ B &\mapsto & t_3 t_0+(t_3 t_0)^{-1}, \\ C &\mapsto & t_2 t_0+(t_2 t_0)^{-1}. \end{eqnarray*} We classify the lattices of $\triangle_q$-submodules of finite-dimensional irreducible $\mathfrak H_q$-modules. As a consequence, for any finite-dimensional irreducible $\mathfrak H_q$-module $V$, the $\triangle_q$-module $V$ is completely reducible if and only if $t_0$ is diagonalizable on $V$.
