Diagonal Ramsey numbers for wheels
The Ramsey number $\mathrm{R}(G_1,G_2)$ is the smallest integer $N$ such that any red-blue coloring of the edges of the complete graph $K_N$ contains either a red copy of $G_1$ or a blue copy of $G_2$. In 2022, the third author and others gave lower and upper bounds of the Ramsey number $\mathrm{R}(W_n,W_n)$, where $W_n$ is the wheel graph with $n$ vertices. In this paper, we improve their bounds by showing that $3n-2\leq \mathrm{R}(W_n,W_n)\leq 6n-6$ for even $n\geq 8$ and $2n\leq \mathrm{R}(W_n,W_n)\leq \frac{9n-7}{2}$ for odd $n\geq 7$. Furthermore, we give recursive bounds for the $k$-colored Ramsey number for $W_n$.

List packing of graphs with bounded tree-width
Assume $L$ is a $k$-assignment of a graph $G$. An $L$-packing $φ$ of $G$ is a sequence $φ=(φ_1, \ldots, φ_k)$ of $k$-mappings such that each $φ_i$ is an $L$-coloring of $G$, and for each vertex $v$ of $G$, $\{φ_1(v), \ldots, φ_k(v)\} = L(v)$ (and hence $φ_i(v) \ne φ_j(v)$ when $i \ne j$). We say $G$ is list $k$-packable if for any $k$-assignment $L$ of $G$, there is an $L$-packing of $G$. The list packing number $χ_l^{\star}(G)$ of $G$ is the minimum integer $k$ such that $G$ is $k$-packable. For a positive integer $d$, let $t(d)$ be the maximum packing number of graphs of tree-width at most $d$. It was known that $d+1 \le t(d) \le 2d$ for any $d$. In this paper, we prove that $t(d) \le 2d-1$ for $d \ge 3$, and $t(d) \ge d+2$ for $d \ge 2$. In particular, $t(2)=4$ and $t(3)=5$. Furthermore, we show that for constant positive integers $k, d$, the problem of determining $χ_l^{\star}(G)\leq k$ or not for a graph $G$ of tree-width at most $d$ is solvable in linear time.

Induced Ramsey numbers for fans
The induced Ramsey number $r_{\mathrm{ind}}(G,H)$ is defined as the minimum order of a graph $F$ on such that any 2-coloring of its edges with red and blue leads to either a red induced copy of $G$ or a blue induced copy of $H$. Motivated by the Kohayakawa-Prömel-Rödl conjecture, we prove that a quadratic upper bound $\mathrm{r}_{\text {ind}}\left(G, F_n\right) \leq C n^2$ for fixed $G$, where $F_n$ is a graph with one central vertex, $2n$ leaf vertices, and $n$ disjoint edges. In particular, for star graphs $K_{1, \ell}$ $(\ell \leq n)$, constructive coloring and matching arguments yield $2 n+2 \ell-1 \leq \mathrm{r}_{\text {ind}}\left(K_{1, \ell}, F_n\right) \leq(\ell+n-1)(\ell+1)+1$, with the exact value $\mathrm{r}_{\text {ind}}\left(K_{1,2}, F_n\right)=3 n+4$.

A Note on Grünbaum's Conjecture about Longest Cycles and Paths
Let $c(G)$ denote the circumference of a graph $G$, i.e., the number of vertices in its longest cycle. For positive integers $n$ and $k$ with $n>k$, let $\varGamma(n;k)$ be the class of graphs of order $n$ with $c(G) = n-k$ such that every induced subgraph of order $n-k$ is Hamiltonian. When $k=$, the class $\varGamma(n; 1)$ coincides with the family of hypohamiltonian graphs-non-Hamiltonian graphs in which the deletion of any single vertex yields a Hamiltonian graph.Replacing Hamiltonian with traceable and $c(G)$ with $p(G)$, the order of a longest path, defines the analogous class $\varPi(n;k)$.Grünbaum (1974) conjectured that both $\varGamma(n; k)$ and $\varPi(n; k)$ are empty for all $n>k \ge 2$. In this note, we first establish upper bounds on the maximum degree of graphs in the classes $\varGamma(n; k)$ and $\varPi(n; k)$. Using these bounds, we show that $\varGamma(n; k)$ is empty when $n<k^2+2k+3$, and that $\varPi(n; k)$ is empty when $n<k^2+2k+2$. These results provide further evidence supporting Grünbaum's conjecture.

Degree-choosability of proper conflict-free list coloring of sparse graphs
Given a graph $G$ and a mapping $f:V(G) \to \mathbb{N}$, an $f$-list assignment of $G$ is a function that maps each $v \in V(G)$ to a set of at least $f(v)$ colors. For an $f$-list assignment $L$ of a graph $G$, a proper conflict-free $L$-coloring of $G$ is a proper coloring $φ$ of $G$ such that for every vertex $v \in V(G)$, $φ(v) \in L(v)$ and some appears precisely once in the neighborhood of $v$. We say that $G$ is proper conflict-free $f$-choosable if for every $f$-list assignment $L$ of $G$, there exists a proper conflict-free $L$-coloring of $G$. If $G$ is proper conflict-free $f$-choosable and there is a constant $k$ such that $f(v)= d_G(v)+k$ for every vertex $v$ of $G$, then we say $G$ is proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+k)$-choosable. In this paper, we consider graphs with a bounded maximum average degree. We show that every graph with the maximum average degree less than $\frac{10}{3}$ is proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+3)$-choosable, and that every graph with the maximum average degree less than $\frac{18}{7}$ is proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+2)$-choosable. As a result, every planar graph with girth at least $5$ is proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+3)$-choosable, and every planar graph with girth at least $9$ is proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+2)$-choosable.

A note on the number of non-cycle components in a pseudo 2-factor of graphs
A pseudo 2-factor of a graph is a spanning subgraph such that each component is $K_1$, $K_2$, or a cycle. This notion was introduced by Bekkai and Kouider in 2009, where they showed that every graph $G$ has a pseudo 2-factor with at most $α(G)-δ(G)+1$ components that are not cycles. For a graph $G$ and a set of vertices $S$, let $δ_G(S)$ denote the minimum degree of vertices in $S$. In this note, we show that every graph $G$ has a pseudo 2-factor with at most $f(G)$ components that are not cycles, where $f(G)$ is the maximum value of $|I|-δ_G(I)+1$ among all independent sets $I$ of $G$. This result is a common generalization of a result by Bekkai and Kouider and a previous result by the author on the existence of a 2-factor.

Remarks on proper conflict-free degree-choosability of graphs with prescribed degeneracy
A proper coloring $φ$ of $G$ is called a proper conflict-free coloring of $G$ if for every non-isolated vertex $v$ of $G$, there is a color $c$ such that $|φ^{-1}(c)\cap N_G(v)|=1$. As an analogy of degree-choosability of graphs, we introduced the notion of proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+k)$-choosability of graphs. For a non-negative integer $k$, a graph $G$ is proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+k)$-choosable if for any list assignment $L$ of $G$ with $|L(v)|\geq d_G(v)+k$ for every vertex $v\in V(G)$, $G$ admits a proper conflict-free coloring $φ$ such that $φ(v)\in L(v)$ for every vertex $v\in V(G)$. In this note, we first remark if a graph $G$ is $d$-degenerate, then $G$ is proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+d+1)$-choosable. Furthermore, when $d=1$, we can reduce the number of colors by showing that every tree is proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+1)$-choosable. This motivates us to state a question.

Proper conflict-free degree-choosability of outerplanar graphs
A proper coloring $φ$ of $G$ is called a proper conflict-free coloring of $G$ if for every non-isolated vertex $v$ of $G$, there is a color $c$ such that $|φ^{-1}(c)\cap N_G(v)|=1$. As an analogy to degree-choosability of graphs, the authors recently, in a previous paper, introduced the notion of proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+k)$-choosability of graphs. In this paper, we show that every connected outerplanar graph other than the $5$-cycle is proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+2)$-choosable. This bound is tight in the sense that there are infinitely many connected outerplanar graphs that are not proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+1)$-choosable. We conclude the paper with two questions for further work.

Results on proper conflict-free list coloring of graphs
Given a graph $G$ and a mapping $f:V(G) \to \mathbb{N}$, an $f$-list assignment of $G$ is a function that maps each $v \in V(G)$ to a set of at least $f(v)$ colors. For an $f$-list assignment $L$ of a graph $G$, a proper conflict-free $L$-coloring of $G$ is a proper coloring $φ$ of $G$ such that $φ(v) \in L(v)$ for every vertex $v\in V(G)$ and $v$ has a color that appears precisely once at its neighborhood for every non-isolated vertex $v\in V(G)$. We say that $G$ is proper conflict-free $f$-choosable if for any $f$-list assignment $L$ of $G$, there exists a proper conflict-free $L$-coloring of $G$. For a non-negative integer $k$, we say that $G$ is \emph{proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+k)$-choosable} if $G$ is proper conflict-free $f$-choosable where $f$ is a mapping with $f(v)= d_G(v)+k$ for every vertex $v\in V(G)$. Motivated by degree-choosability of graphs, we investigate the proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+k)$-choosability of graphs, especially for cases $k=1,2,3$. As the 5-cycle is not proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+2)$-choosable and it is the only such graph we know, it is possible that every connected graph other than the 5-cycle is proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+2)$-choosable and thus every graph is proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+3)$-choosable. To support these, we show that every connected graph with maximum degree at most 3 distinct from the 5-cycle is proper conflict-free $(\text{degree}+2)$-choosable, and that $S(G)$ is proper conflict-free $(\text{degree}+2)$-choosable for every graph $G$, where $S(G)$ is a graph obtained from $G$ by subdividing each edge once. Furthermore, by adapting the technique of DP-colorings, we prove that every graph with maximum degree at most $4$ is proper conflict-free $({\rm degree}+3)$-choosable.

Odd coloring of $k$-trees
An odd coloring of a graph is a proper coloring such that every non-isolated vertex has a color that appears at an odd number of its neighbors. This notion was introduced by Petrševski and Škrekovski in 2022. In this paper, we focus on odd coloring of $k$-trees, where a $k$-tree is a graph obtained from the complete graph of order $k+1$ by recursively adding a new vertex that is joined to a clique of order $k$ in the former graph. It follows from a result of Cranston, Lafferty, and Song in 2023 that every $k$-tree is odd $(2k+1)$-colorable. We improve this bound to show that every $k$-tree is odd $\left(k+2\left\lfloor\log_2 k\right\rfloor+3\right)$-colorable. Furthermore, when $k=2,3$, we show the tight bound that every 2-tree is odd $4$-colorable and that every 3-tree is odd $5$-colorable.

Degree sum conditions and a 2-factor with a bounded number of cycles in claw-free graphs
A claw-free graph is a graph that does not contain $K_{1,3}$ as an induced subgraph, and a 2-factor is a 2-regular spanning subgraph of a graph. In 1997, Ryjáček introduced the closure concept of claw-free graphs, and Hamilton cycles and related structures in claw-free graphs have been intensively studied via the closure concept. In this paper, using the closure concept, we show that for a claw-free graph $G$ of order $n$, if every independent set $I$ of $G$ satisfies $|I|\leq δ_G(I)-1$ and $G$ satisfies $σ_{k+1}(G)\geq n$, then $G$ has a 2-factor with at most $k$ cycles, where $δ_G(I)$ denotes the minimum degree of the vertices in $I$. As a corollary of the result, we show that every claw-free graph $G$ with $δ(G)\geq α(G)+1$ has a 2-factor with at most $α(G)$ cycles, which partially solves a conjecture by Faudree et al. in 2012.

New type degree conditions for a graph to have a 2-factor
A 2-factor of a graph is a 2-regular spanning subgraph. For a graph $G$ and an independent set $I$ of $G$, let $δ_G(I)$ denote the minimum degree of vertices contained in $I$. We show that (1) if every independent set $I$ of $G$ satisfies $|I|\leq δ_G(I)-1$, then $G$ has a 2-factor and that (2) if every independent set $I$ of $G$ satisfies $|I|\leq δ_G(I)$, then $G$ has a 2-factor unless $G$ is isomorphic to a graph in completely determined exceptional graphs. It can be easily shown that the assumption of (1) is a relaxation of the Dirac condition on Hamiltonicity of graphs, and that the assumption of (2) is a relaxation of the Chvátal-Erdős condition on Hamiltonicity of graphs. Furthermore, for graphs with the assumption of (1), we show some results on a 2-factor with a bounded number of cycles.

Odd 4-coloring of outerplanar graphs
A proper $k$-coloring of $G$ is called an odd coloring of $G$ if for every vertex $v$, there is a color that appears at an odd number of neighbors of $v$. This concept was introduced recently by Petruševski and Škrekovski, and they conjectured that every planar graph is odd 5-colorable. Towards this conjecture, Caro, Petruševski, and Škrekovski showed that every outerplanar graph is odd 5-colorable, and this bound is tight since the cycle of length 5 is not odd 4-colorable. Recently, the first author and others showed that every maximal outerplanar graph is odd 4-colorable. In this paper, we show that a connected outerplanar graph $G$ is odd 4-colorable if and only if $G$ contains a block which is not a copy of the cycle of length 5. This strengthens the result by Caro, Petruševski, and Škrekovski, and gives a complete characterization of odd 4-colorable outerplanar graphs.
New Invariants for Partitioning a Graph into 2-connected Subgraphs
A vertex partition in which every part induces a 2-connected subgraph is called a 2-proper partition. This concept was introduced by Ferrara et al. in 2013, and Borozan et al. gave the best possible minimum degree condition for the existence of a 2-proper partition in 2016. Later, in 2022, Chen et al. extended the result by showing a minimum degree sum condition for the existence of 2-proper partition. In this paper, we introduce two new invariants of graph, denoted by $σ^*(G)$ and $α^*(G)$. These two invariants are defined from degree sum on all independent sets with some property. We prove that if a graph $G$ satisfies $σ^*(G)\geq |V(G)|$, then with some exceptions, $G$ has a 2-proper partition with at most $α^*(G)$ parts. This result is best possible, and implies both of the results by Borozan et al. and by Chen et al.. Moreover, as a corollary of our result, we give a minimum degree product condition for the existence of a 2-proper partition.
