Every $3$-connected $\{K_{1,3},Γ_3\}$-free graph is Hamilton-connected
We show that every $3$-connected $\{K_{1,3},Γ_3\}$-free graph is Hamilton-connected, where $Γ_3$ is the graph obtained by joining two vertex-disjoint triangles with a path of length $3$. This resolves one of the two last open cases in the characterization of pairs of connected forbidden subgraphs implying Hamilton-connectedness. The proof is based on a new closure technique, developed in a previous paper, and on a structural analysis of small subgraphs, cycles and paths in line graphs of multigraphs. The most technical steps of the analysis are computer-assisted.

A closure for Hamilton-connectedness in $\{K_{1,3},Γ_3\}$-free graphs
We introduce a closure technique for Hamilton-connectedness of $\{K_{1,3},Γ_3\}$-free graphs, where $Γ_3$ is the graph obtained by joining two vertex-disjoint triangles with a path of length $3$. The closure turns a claw-free graph into a line graph of a multigraph while preserving its (non)-Hamilton-connectedness. The most technical parts of the proof are computer-assisted.
The main application of the closure is given in a subsequent paper showing that every $3$-connected $\{K_{1,3},Γ_3\}$-free graph is Hamilton-connected, thus resolving one of the two last open cases in the characterization of pairs of connected forbidden subgraphs implying Hamilton-connectedness.
Packing $T$-connectors in graphs needs more connectivity
Strengthening the classical concept of Steiner trees, West and Wu [J. Combin. Theory Ser. B 102 (2012), 186--205] introduced the notion of a $T$-connector in a graph $G$ with a set $T$ of terminals. They conjectured that if the set $T$ is $3k$-edge-connected in $G$, then $G$ contains $k$ edge-disjoint $T$-connectors. We disprove this conjecture by constructing infinitely many counterexamples for $k=1$ and for each even $k$.

We prove that every 52-connected line graph of a rank 3 hypergraph is Hamiltonian. This is the first result of this type for hypergraphs of bounded rank other than ordinary graphs.
Proof of a conjecture on hamiltonian-connected graphs
We prove that every 3-connected claw-free graph with domination number at most 3 is hamiltonian-connected. The result is sharp and it is inspired by a conjecture posed by Zheng, Broersma, Wang and Zhang in 2020.

We characterise the pairs of graphs $\{ X, Y \}$ such that all $\{ X, Y \}$-free graphs (distinct from $C_5$) are perfect. Similarly, we characterise pairs $\{ X, Y \}$ such that all $\{ X, Y \}$-free graphs (distinct from $C_5$) are $ω$-colourable (that is, their chromatic number is equal to their clique number). More generally, we show characterizations of pairs $\{ X, Y \}$ for perfectness and $ω$-colourability of all connected $\{ X, Y \}$-free graphs which are of independence at least $3$, distinct from an odd cycle, and of order at least $n_0$, and similar characterisations subject to each subset of these additional constraints. (The classes are non-hereditary and the characterisations for perfectness and $ω$-colourability are different.) We build on recent results of Brause et al. on $\{ K_{1,3}, Y \}$-free graphs, and we use Ramsey's Theorem and the Strong Perfect Graph Theorem as main tools. We relate the present characterisations to known results on forbidden pairs for $χ$-boundedness and deciding $k$-colourability in polynomial time.

For every graph $X$, we consider the class of all connected $\{K_{1,3}, X\}$-free graphs which are distinct from an odd cycle and have independence number at least $4$, and we show that all graphs in the class are perfect if and only if $X$ is an induced subgraph of some of $P_6$, $K_1 \cup P_5$, $2P_3$, $Z_2$ or $K_1 \cup Z_1$. Furthermore, for $X$ chosen as $2K_1 \cup K_3$, we list all eight imperfect graphs belonging to the class; and for every other choice of $X$, we show that there are infinitely many such graphs. In addition, for $X$ chosen as $B_{1,2}$, we describe the structure of all imperfect graphs in the class.

We give a new proof of the Skeletal Lemma, which is the main technical tool in our paper on Hamilton cycles in line graphs [T. Kaiser and P. Vrána, Hamilton cycles in 5-connected line graphs, European J. Combin. 33 (2012), 924-947]. It generalises results on disjoint spanning trees in graphs to the context of 3-hypergraphs. The lemma is proved in a slightly stronger version that is more suitable for applications. The proof is simplified and formulated in a more accessible way.

Yang et al. proved that every 3-connected, essentially 11-connected line graph is Hamilton-connected. This was extended by Li and Yang to 3-connected, essentially 10-connected graphs. Strengthening their result further, we prove that 3-connected, essentially 9-connected line graphs are Hamilton-connected. We use a method based on quasigraphs in combination with the discharging technique. The result extends to claw-free graphs.
Equivalent formulation of Thomassen's conjecture using Tutte paths in claw-free graphs
We continue studying Thomassen's conjecture (every 4-connected line graph has a Hamilton cycle) in the direction of a recently shown equivalence with Jackson's conjecture (every 2-connected claw-free graph has a Tutte cycle), and we extend the equivalent formulation as follows: In each connected claw-free graph, every two vertices are connected by a maximal path which is a Tutte path.
On forbidden induced subgraphs for K_{1,3}-free perfect graphs
Considering connected $K_{1,3}$-free graphs with independence number at least $3$, Chudnovsky and Seymour (2010) showed that every such graph, say $G$, is $2ω$-colourable where $ω$ denotes the clique number of $G$. We study $(K_{1,3}, Y)$-free graphs, and show that the following three statements are equivalent.
(1) Every connected $(K_{1,3}, Y)$-free graph which is distinct from an odd cycle and which has independence number at least $3$ is perfect.
(2) Every connected $(K_{1,3}, Y)$-free graph which is distinct from an odd cycle and which has independence number at least $3$ is $ω$-colourable.
(3) $Y$ is isomorphic to an induced subgraph of $P_5$ or $Z_2$ (where $Z_2$ is also known as hammer).
Furthermore, for connected $(K_{1,3}, Y)$-free graphs (without an assumption on the independence number), we show a similar characterisation featuring the graphs $P_4$ and $Z_1$ (where $Z_1$ is also known as paw).

A conjecture of Carsten Thomassen states that every 4-connected line graph is hamiltonian. It is known that the conjecture is true for 7-connected line graphs. We improve this by showing that any 5-connected line graph of minimum degree at least 6 is hamiltonian. The result extends to claw-free graphs and to Hamilton-connectedness.
