A perfect matching reciprocity method for embedding multiple hypercubes in an augmented cube: Applications to Hamiltonian decomposition and fault-tolerant Hamiltonicity
This paper focuses on the embeddability of hypercubes in an important class of Cayley graphs, known as augmented cubes. An $n$-dimensional augmented cube $AQ_n$ is constructed by augmenting the $n$-dimensional hypercube $Q_n$ with additional edges, thus making $Q_n$ a spanning subgraph of $AQ_n$. Dong and Wang (2019) first posed the problem of determining the number of $Q_n$-isomorphic subgraphs in $AQ_n$, which still remains open. By exploiting the Cayley properties of $AQ_n$, we establish a lower bound for this number. What's more, we develop a method for constructing pairs of $Q_n$-isomorphic subgraphs in $AQ_n$ with the minimum number of common edges. This is accomplished through the use of reciprocal perfect matchings, a technique that also relies on the Cayley property of $AQ_n$. As an application, we prove that $AQ_n$ admits $n-1$ edge-disjoint Hamiltonian cycles when $n\geq3$ is odd and $n-2$ cycles when $n$ is even, thereby confirming a conjecture by Hung (2015) for the odd case. Additionally, we prove that $AQ_n$ has a fault-free cycle of every even length from $4$ to $2^n$ with up to $4n-8$ faulty edges, when each vertex is incident to at least two fault-free edges. This result not only provides an alternative proof for the fault-tolerant Hamiltonicity of established by Hsieh and Cian (2010), but also extends their work by demonstrating the fault-tolerant bipancyclicity of $AQ_n$.

The $g$-good-neighbor diagnosability of product networks under the PMC model
Published • View PublicationBIB
The concept of neighbor connectivity originated from the assessment of the subversion of espionage networks caused by underground resistance movements, and it has now been applied to measure the disruption of networks caused by cascading failures through neighbors. In this paper, we give two necessary and sufficient conditions of the existance of $g$-good-neighbor diagnosability. We introduce a new concept called $g$-good neighbor cut-component number (gc number for short), which has close relation with $g$-good-neighbor diagnosability. Sharp lower and upper bounds of the gc number of general graphs in terms of the $g$-good neighbor connectivity is given, which provides a formula to compute the $g$-good-neighbor diagnosability for general graphs (therefore for Cartesian product graphs). As their applications, we get the exact values or bounds for the gc numbers and $g$-good-neighbor diagnosability of grid, torus networks and generalized cubes.
Reliability Evaluation of Generalized $K_4$-Hypercubes Based on Five Link Fault Patterns
As the scale of data centers continues to grow, there is an increasing demand for interconnection networks to resist malicious attacks. Hence, it is necessary to evaluate the reliability of networks under various fault patterns. The family of generalized $K_4$-hypercubes serve as interconnection networks of data centers, characterized by topological structures with exceptional properties. The $h$-extra edge-connectivity $λ_h$, the $l$-super edge-connectivity $λ^l$, the $l$-average degree edge-connectivity $\overline{λ^l}$, the $l$-embedded edge-connectivity $η_l$ and the cyclic edge-connectivity $λ_c$ are vital parameters to accurately assess the reliability of interconnection networks. Let integer $n\geq3$. This paper obtains the optimal solution of the edge isoperimetric problem and its explicit representation, which offers an upper bound of the $h$-extra edge-connectivity of an $n$-dimensional $K_4$-hypercube $H_n^4$. As an application, we presents $λ_h(H_n^4)$ for $1\leq h\leq 2^{\lceil n/2 \rceil }$. Moreover, for $2^{\lceil n/2\rceil+t}-g_t \le h\le2^{\lceil n/2\rceil+t}$, $g_t=\lceil(2^{2t+2+γ})/3\rceil$, $0\leq t \leq\lfloor n/2\rfloor-1 $, $γ=0$ for even $n$ and $γ=1$ for odd $n$, $λ_h(H_n^4)$ is a constant $(\lfloor n/2\rfloor-t)2^{\lceil n/2\rceil+t}$. The above lower and upper bounds of the integer $h$ are both sharp. Furthermore, $λ^l(H_n^4)$, $\overline{λ^l}(H_n^4)$, $λ_{2^l}(H_n^4)$, and $η_l(H_n^4)$ share a common value $(n-l)2^l$ for $2\leq l\leq n-1$, and we determines the values of $λ_c(H_n^4)$.

On the $g$-good-neighbor connectivity of graphs
Connectivity and diagnosability are two important parameters for the fault tolerant of an interconnection network $G$. In 1996, Fàbrega and Fiol proposed the $g$-good-neighbor connectivity of $G$. In this paper, we show that $1\leq κ^g(G)\leq n-2g-2$ for $0\leq g\leq \left\{Δ(G),\left\lfloor \frac{n-3}{2}\right\rfloor\right\}$, and graphs with $κ^g(G)=1,2$ and trees with $κ^g(T_n)=n-t$ for $4\leq t\leq \frac{n+2}{2}$ are characterized, respectively. In the end, we get the three extremal results for the $g$-good-neighbor connectivity.

On the $g$-extra connectivity of graphs
Connectivity and diagnosability are two important parameters for the fault tolerant of an interconnection network $G$. In 1996, Fàbrega and Fiol proposed the $g$-extra connectivity of $G$. A subset of vertices $S$ is said to be a \emph{cutset} if $G-S$ is not connected. A cutset $S$ is called an \emph{$R_g$-cutset}, where $g$ is a non-negative integer, if every component of $G-S$ has at least $g+1$ vertices. If $G$ has at least one $R_g$-cutset, the \emph{$g$-extra connectivity} of $G$, denoted by $κ_g(G)$, is then defined as the minimum cardinality over all $R_g$-cutsets of $G$. In this paper, we first obtain the exact values of $g$-extra connectivity of some special graphs. Next, we show that $1\leq κ_g(G)\leq n-2g-2$ for $0\leq g\leq \left\lfloor \frac{n-3}{2}\right\rfloor$, and graphs with $κ_g(G)=1,2,3$ and trees with $κ_g(T_n)=n-2g-2$ are characterized, respectively. In the end, we get the three extremal results for the $g$-extra connectivity.
