Clique structure and other network properties of the tensor product of Erdős-Rényi graphs
We analyze the number of cliques of given size and the size of the largest clique in tensor product $G \times H$ of two Erdős-Rényi graphs $G$ and $H$. Then an extended clustering coefficient is introduced and is studied for $G \times H$. Restriction to the standard clustering coefficient has a direct relation to the local efficiency of the graph, and the results are also interpreted in terms of the efficiency. As a last statistic of interest, the number of isolated vertices is analyzed for $G \times H$. The paper is concluded with a discussion of the modular product of random graphs, and the relation to the maximum common subgraph problem.
Analysis of Clustering and Degree Index in Random Graphs and Complex Networks
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the degree index and clustering index in random graphs. The degree index in our setup is a certain measure of degree irregularity whose basic properties are well studied in the literature, and the corresponding theoretical analysis in a random graph setup turns out to be tractable. On the other hand, the clustering index, based on a similar reasoning, is first introduced in this manuscript. Computing exact expressions for the expected clustering index turns out to be more challenging even in the case of Erdős-Rényi graphs, and our results are on obtaining relevant upper bounds. These are also complemented with observations based on Monte Carlo simulations. Besides the Erdős-Rényi case, we also do simulation-based analysis for random regular graphs, the Barabási-Albert model and the Watts-Strogatz model.
Mixing time bounds for edge flipping on regular graphs

The edge flipping is a non-reversible Markov chain on a given connected graph, which is defined by Chung and Graham. In the same paper, its eigenvalues and stationary distributions for some classes of graphs are identified. We further study its spectral properties to show a lower bound for the rate of convergence in the case of regular graphs. Moreover, we show that a cutoff occurs at 1/4 n log n for the edge flipping on the complete graph by a coupling argument

We introduce a cover time problem for random walks on dynamic graphs in which the graph expands in time and the walker moves at random times. Time to cover all nodes and number of returns to original states are analyzed in resulting model.

We obtain an explicit formula for the variance of the number of $k$-peaks in a uniformly random permutation. This is then used to obtain an asymptotic formula for the variance of the length of longest $k$-alternating subsequence in random permutations. Also a central limit is proved for the latter statistic.
A study on random permutation graphs
For a given permutation $π_n$ in $S_n$, a random permutation graph is formed by including an edge between two vertices $i$ and $j$ if and only if $(i - j) (π_n(i) - π_n (j)) < 0$. In this paper, we study various statistics of random permutation graphs. In particular, the degree of a given node, the number of nodes with a given degree, the number of isolated vertices, and the number of cliques are analyzed. Further, explicit formulas for the probabilities of having a given number of connected components and isolated vertices are obtained.
Some remarks on biased recursive trees
The purpose of this paper is to analyze certain statistics of a recently introduced non-uniform random tree model, biased recursive trees. This model is based on constructing a random tree by establishing a correspondence with non-uniform permutations, biased riffle shuffles. The statistics that are treated include the number of nodes with a given number of descendants, the depth of the tree, and the number of branches. The model yields the uniform recursive trees as a certain limit, some new results for the uniform case are obtained as well.
Asymptotic results on Hoppe trees and its variations

A uniform recursive tree on $n$ vertices is a random tree where each possible $(n-1)!$ labeled recursive rooted tree is selected with equal probability. In this paper we introduce and study weighted trees, a non-uniform recursive tree model departing from the recently introduced Hoppe trees. This class generalizes both uniform recursive trees and Hoppe trees. The generalization provides diversity among the nodes, making the model more flexible for applications. We also analyze the number of leaves, the height, the depth, the number of branches, and the size of the largest branch in these weighted trees.
A Central Limit Theorem for the Optimal Alignments Score in Multiple Random Words
Let $\mathbf{X}^{(1)}_{n},\ldots,\mathbf{X}^{(m)}_{n}$, where $\mathbf{X}^{(i)}_{n}=(X^{(i)}_{1},\ldots,X^{(i)}_{n})$, $i=1,\ldots,m$, be $m$ independent sequences of independent and identically distributed random variables taking their values in a finite alphabet $\mathcal{A}$. Let the score function $S$, defined on $\mathcal{A}^{m}$, be non-negative, bounded, permutation-invariant, and satisfy a bounded differences condition. Under a variance lower-bound assumption, a central limit theorem is proved for the optimal alignments score of the $m$ random words.

Let $(X_i)_{i \geq 1}$ and $(Y_i)_{i\geq1}$ be two independent sequences of independent identically distributed random variables taking their values in a common finite alphabet and having the same law. Let $LC_n$ be the length of the longest common subsequences of the two random words $X_1\cdots X_n$ and $Y_1\cdots Y_n$. Under a lower bound assumption on the order of its variance, $LC_n$ is shown to satisfy a central limit theorem. This is in contrast to the limiting distribution of the length of the longest common subsequences in two independent uniform random permutations of $\{1, \dots, n\}$, which is shown to be the Tracy-Widom distribution.
Descent-Inversion Statistics in Riffle Shuffles
This paper studies statistics of riffle shuffles by relating them to random word statistics with the use of inverse shuffles. Asymptotic normality of the number of descents and inversions in riffle shuffles with convergence rates of order $1/\sqrt{n}$ in the Kolmogorov distance are proven. Results are also given about the lengths of the longest alternating subsequences of random permutations resulting from riffle shuffles. A sketch of how the theory of multisets can be useful for statistics of a variation of top $m$ to random shuffles is presented.
