Exploring Parking Functions: Poset and Polytope Perspectives
This paper provides an exploration of parking functions, a classical combinatorial object. We present two viewpoints on their structure and properties: through poset of noncrossing partitions and polytopes.
Integer k-matching preclusion of graphs
As a generalization of matching preclusion number of a graph, we provide the (strong) integer $k$-matching preclusion number, abbreviated as $MP^{k}$ number ($SMP^{k}$ number), which is the minimum number of edges (vertices and edges) whose deletion results in a graph that has neither perfect integer $k$-matching nor almost perfect integer $k$-matching. In this paper, we show that when $k$ is even, the ($SMP^{k}$) $MP^{k}$ number is equal to the (strong) fractional matching preclusion number. We obtain a necessary condition of graphs with an almost-perfect integer $k$-matching and a relational expression between the matching number and the integer $k$-matching number of bipartite graphs. Thus the $MP^{k}$ number and the $SMP^{k}$ number of complete graphs, bipartite graphs and arrangement graphs are obtained, respectively.

The existence of large sets of Kirkman triple systems (LKTSs) is one of the best-known open problems in combinatorial design theory. Steiner quadruple systems with resolvable derived designs (RDSQSs) play an important role in the recursive constructions of LKTSs. In this paper, we introduce a special combinatorial structure RDSQS*(v) and use it to present a construction for RDSQS(4v). As a consequence, some new infinite families of LKTSs are given.

In this paper, we mainly prove the following conjectures of Z.-H. Sun \cite{SH2}:
Let $p>3$ be a prime. If $p\equiv1\pmod3$ and $p=x^2+3y^2$, then we have $$ \sum_{k=0}^{p-1}\frac{D_k}{4^k}\equiv\sum_{k=0}^{p-1}\frac{D_k}{16^k}\equiv4x^2-2p-\frac{p^2}{4x^2}\pmod{p^3}, $$ and if $p\equiv2\pmod3$, then $$ \sum_{k=0}^{p-1}\frac{D_k}{4^k}\equiv-2\sum_{k=0}^{p-1}\frac{D_k}{16^k}\equiv\frac{p^2}2\binom{\frac{p-1}2}{\frac{p-5}6}^{-2} \pmod{p^3}, $$ where $D_n=\sum_{k=0}^n\binom{n}k^2\binom{2k}k\binom{2n-2k}{n-k}$ stands for the $n$th Domb number.

In this paper, we mainly prove the following conjectures of Z.-W. Sun \cite{S13}: Let $p>2$ be a prime. If $p=x^2+3y^2$ with $x,y\in\mathbb{Z}$ and $x\equiv1\pmod 3$, then $$x\equiv\frac14\sum_{k=0}^{p-1}(3k+4)\frac{f_k} {2^k}\equiv\frac12\sum_{k=0}^{p-1}(3k+2)\frac{f_k}{(-4)^k}\pmod{p^2},$$ and if $p\equiv1\pmod3$, then $$\sum_{k=0}^{p-1}\frac{f_k}{2^k}\equiv\sum_{k=0}^{p-1}\frac{f_k}{(-4)^k}\pmod{p^3},$$ where $f_n=\sum_{k=0}^n\binom{n}k^3$ stands for the $n$th Franel number.

The Gallai-Ramsey number $gr_{k}(K_{3}: H_{1}, H_{2}, \cdots, H_{k})$ is the smallest integer $n$ such that every $k$-edge-colored $K_{n}$ contains either a rainbow $K_3$ or a monochromatic $H_{i}$ in color $i$ for some $i\in [k]$. We find the largest star that can be removed from $K_n$ such that the underlying graph is still forced to have a rainbow $K_3$ or a monochromatic $H_{i}$ in color $i$ for some $i\in [k]$. Thus, we define the star-critical Gallai-Ramsey number $gr_{k}^{*}(K_3: H_{1}, H_{2}, \cdots, H_{k})$ as the smallest integer $s$ such that every $k$-edge-colored $K_{n}-K_{1, n-1-s}$ contains either a rainbow $K_3$ or a monochromatic $H_{i}$ in color $i$ for some $i\in [k]$. When $H=H_{1}=\cdots=H_{k}$, we simply denote $gr_{k}^{*}(K_{3}: H_{1}, H_{2}, \cdots, H_{k})$ by $gr_{k}^{*}(K_{3}: H)$. We determine the star-critical Gallai-Ramsey numbers for complete graphs and some small graphs. Furthermore, we show that $gr_{k}^{*}(K_3: H)$ is exponential in $k$ if $H$ is not bipartite, linear in $k$ if $H$ is bipartite but not a star and constant (not depending on $k$) if $H$ is a star.

A Gallai $k$-coloring is a $k$-edge coloring of a complete graph in which there are no rainbow triangles. For given graphs $G_1, G_2, G_3$ and nonnegative integers $r, s, t$ with that $k=r+s+t$, the $k$-colored Gallai-Ramsey number $gr_{k}(K_{3}: r\cdot G_1,~ s\cdot G_2, ~t\cdot G_3)$ is the minimum integer $n$ such that every Gallai $k$-colored $K_{n}$ contains a monochromatic copy of $G_1$ colored by one of the first $r$ colors or a monochromatic copy of $G_2$ colored by one of the middle $s$ colors or a monochromatic copy of $G_3$ colored by one of the last $t$ colors. In this paper, we determine the value of Gallai-Ramsey number in the case that $G_1=B_{3}^{+}$, $G_2=S_{3}^+$ and $G_3=K_3$. Then the Gallai-Ramsey number $gr_{k}(K_{3}: B_{3}^{+})$ is obtained. Thus the Gllai-Ramsey numbers for graphs with five vertices and eight edges are solved completely. Furthermore, the the Gallai-Ramsey numbers $gr_{k}(K_{3}: r\cdot B_3^+,~ (k-r)\cdot S_3^+)$, $gr_{k}(K_{3}: r\cdot B_3^+,~ (k-r)\cdot K_3)$ and $gr_{k}(K_{3}: s\cdot S_3^+,~ (k-s)\cdot K_3)$ are obtained, respecticely.

A Gallai $k$-coloring is a $k$-edge coloring of a complete graph in which there are no rainbow triangles. For two given graphs $H, G$ and two positive integers $k,s$ with that $s\leq k$, the $k$-colored Gallai-Ramsey number $gr_{k}(K_{3}: s\cdot H,~ (k-s)\cdot G)$ is the minimum integer $n$ such that every Gallai $k$-colored $K_{n}$ contains a monochromatic copy of $H$ colored by one of the first $s$ colors or a monochromatic copy of $G$ colored by one of the remaining $k-s$ colors. In this paper, we determine the value of Gallai-Ramsey number in the case that $H=K_{4}^{+}$ and $G=K_{3}$. Thus the Gallai-Ramsey number $gr_{k}(K_{3}: K_{4}^{+})$ is obtained.

In the paper "Broersma and Hoede, {\it Path graphs}, J. Graph Theory {\bf 13} (1989) 427-444", the authors proposed a problem whether there is a triple of mutually nonisomorphic connected graphs which have an isomorphic connected $P_3$-graph. For a long time, this problem remains unanswered. In this paper, we give it a negative answer that there is no such triple, and thus completely solve this problem.
