Weakened Gallai-Ramsey Numbers for Books
For $1\le s<t$ and any graph $G$, the weakened Gallai-Ramsey number $gr^t_s(G)$ is defined to be the least $p\in \mathbb{N}$ such that every Gallai $t$-coloring of the edges of $K_p$ (i.e., a $t$-coloring that lacks rainbow triangles) contains a subgraph isomorphic to $G$ whose edges use at most $s$ of the colors. In the case of a book graph $B_n:=K_2+nK_1$, Jakhar and Moun determined the values $gr^3_2(B_3)=6$ and $gr^3_2(B_4)=7$. In this paper, we extend their results to $t>3$ colors, and we determine the values of $gr^3_2(B_n)$ for $5\le n\le 15$. General lower bounds for $gr^t_2(B_n)$ are also given.
Boolean lattice without small rainbow subposets
A Boolean lattice $\mathcal{B}_n=(2^X, \leq)$ is the power set of an $n$-element ground set $X$ equipped with inclusion relation. For two posets $\mathcal{P}$ and $\mathcal{Q}$, we say that $\mathcal{Q}$ contains an \emph{induced copy} of $\mathcal{P}$ if there exists an injection $f : \mathcal{P} \to \mathcal{Q}$ such that $f(X) \le f(Y)$ if and only if $X \le Y$ in $\mathcal{P}$. A $k$-coloring is exact if all colors are used at least once. For posets $\mathcal{Q}$ and $\mathcal{P}$, the \emph{Boolean Gallai-Ramsey number} $\operatorname{GR}_{k}(\mathcal{Q}:\mathcal{P})$ is defined as the smallest $n$ such that any exact $k$-coloring of the sets in $\mathcal{B}_n$ contains either a rainbow induced copy of $\mathcal{Q}$ or a monochromatic induced copy of $\mathcal{P}$ and the \emph{Boolean rainbow Ramsey number} $\operatorname{RR}(\mathcal{Q}:\mathcal{P})$ is defined as the smallest $n$ such that any coloring of the sets in $\mathcal{B}_n$ contains either a rainbow induced copy of $\mathcal{Q}$ or a monochromatic induced copy of $\mathcal{P}$. In this paper, we first study the structural properties of exact $k$-colorings of the sets in Boolean lattice without rainbow induced copy of small posets. As the application of these results, we give exact values and some bounds of Boolean Gallai-Ramsey numbers and Boolean rainbow Ramsey numbers, which improve a result of Chen, Cheng, Li, and Liu in 2020 and give an answer of a question proposed by Chang, Gerbner, Li, Methuku, Nagy, Patkós, and Vizer in 2022.

Gallai-Ramsey Numbers for $\ell$-Connected Graphs
Given a nonempty graph $G$, a collection of nonempty graphs $\cal{H}$, and a positive integer $k$, the Gallai-Ramsey number $\mathrm{gr}_k(G:\mathcal{H})$ is defined to be the minimum positive integer $n$ such that every exact $k$-edge-coloring of a complete graph $K_n$ contains either a rainbow copy of $G$ or a monochromatic copy of some element in $\mathcal{H}$. In this paper, we obtain some exact values and general lower and upper bounds for $\mathrm{gr}_k(G:\mathcal{F}^\ell)$, where $\mathcal{F}^\ell$ is the set of $\ell$-connected graphs and $G\in\{P_5, K_{1,3}\}$.

Disproofs of four Gallai-Ramsey-type conjectures
As a significant variation of Ramsey numbers, the Gallai-Ramsey number $GR_k(H)$ refers to the smallest positive integer $r$ such that, by coloring the edges of $K_r$ with at most $k$ colors, there exists either a monochromatic subgraph isomorphic to $H$ or a rainbow triangle. Mao, Wang, Magnant, and Schiermeyer [Discrete Math., 2023], Song, Wei, Zhang, and Zhao [Discrete Math., 2020], and Zhao and Wei [Discrete Appl. Math., 2021] each proposed one conjecture on the Gallai-Ramsey numbers for fans, wheels, and kipases, respectively. We establish new lower bounds that disprove all three conjectures. Su and Liu [Graphs Combin., 2022] studied the Gallai-Ramsey-full property of graphs and conjectured that a graph is Ramsey-full if and only if it is Gallai-Ramsey-full. We present two classes of graphs that are Ramsey-full, but neither is Gallai-Ramsey-full.

Ramsey and Gallai-Ramsey numbers for linear forests and kipas
For two graphs $G,H$, the \emph{Ramsey number} $r(G,H)$ is the minimum integer $n$ such that any red/blue edge-coloring of $K_n$ contains either a red copy of $G$ or a blue copy of $H$. For two graphs $G,H$, the \emph{Gallai-Ramsey number} $\operatorname{gr}_k(G:H)$ is defined as the minimum integer $n$ such that any $k$-edge-coloring of $K_n$ must contain either a rainbow copy of $G$ or a monochromatic copy of $H$. In this paper, the classical Ramsey numbers of linear forest versus kipas are obtained. We obtain the exact values of $\operatorname{gr}_k(G:H)$, where $H$ is either a path or a kipas and $G\in\{K_{1,3},P_4^+,P_5\}$ and $P_4^+$ is the graph consisting of $P_4$ with one extra edge incident with inner vertex.

Gallai-Ramsey multiplicity for rainbow small trees
Let $G, H$ be two non-empty graphs and $k$ be a positive integer. The Gallai-Ramsey number $\operatorname{gr}_k(G:H)$ is defined as the minimum positive integer $N$ such that for all $n\geq N$, every $k$-edge-coloring of $K_n$ contains either a rainbow subgraph $G$ or a monochromatic subgraph $H$. The Gallai-Ramsey multiplicity $\operatorname{GM}_k(G:H)$ is defined as the minimum total number of rainbow subgraphs $G$ and monochromatic subgraphs $H$ for all $k$-edge-colored $K_{\operatorname{gr}_k(G:H)}$. In this paper, we get some exact values of the Gallai-Ramsey multiplicity for rainbow small trees versus general monochromatic graphs under a sufficiently large number of colors. We also study the bipartite Gallai-Ramsey multiplicity.

Complete bipartite graphs without small rainbow stars
The $k$-edge-colored bipartite Gallai-Ramsey number $\operatorname{bgr}_k(G:H)$ is defined as the minimum integer $n$ such that $n^2\geq k$ and for every $N\geq n$, every edge-coloring (using all $k$ colors) of complete bipartite graph $K_{N,N}$ contains a rainbow copy of $G$ or a monochromatic copy of $H$. In this paper, we first study the structural theorem on the complete bipartite graph $K_{n,n}$ with no rainbow copy of $K_{1,3}$. Next, we utilize the results to prove the exact values of $\operatorname{bgr}_{k}(P_4: H)$, $\operatorname{bgr}_{k}(P_5: H)$, $\operatorname{bgr}_{k}(K_{1,3}: H)$, where $H$ is a various union of cycles and paths and stars.

Given two non-empty graphs $G,H$ and a positive integer $k$, the Gallai-Ramsey number $\operatorname{gr}_k(G:H)$ is defined as the minimum integer $N$ such that for all $n\geq N$, every $k$-edge-coloring of $K_n$ contains either a rainbow colored copy of $G$ or a monochromatic copy of $H$. In this paper, we got some exact values or bounds for $\operatorname{gr}_k(P_5:H) \ (k\geq 3)$ if $H$ is a general graph or a star with extra independent edges or a pineapple.

Star-critical Gallai-Ramsey numbers of graphs
Published • View PublicationBIB
The Gallai-Ramsey number $gr_{k}(K_{3}: H_{1}, H_{2}, \cdots, H_{k})$ is the smallest integer $n$ such that every $k$-edge-colored $K_{n}$ contains either a rainbow $K_3$ or a monochromatic $H_{i}$ in color $i$ for some $i\in [k]$. We find the largest star that can be removed from $K_n$ such that the underlying graph is still forced to have a rainbow $K_3$ or a monochromatic $H_{i}$ in color $i$ for some $i\in [k]$. Thus, we define the star-critical Gallai-Ramsey number $gr_{k}^{*}(K_3: H_{1}, H_{2}, \cdots, H_{k})$ as the smallest integer $s$ such that every $k$-edge-colored $K_{n}-K_{1, n-1-s}$ contains either a rainbow $K_3$ or a monochromatic $H_{i}$ in color $i$ for some $i\in [k]$. When $H=H_{1}=\cdots=H_{k}$, we simply denote $gr_{k}^{*}(K_{3}: H_{1}, H_{2}, \cdots, H_{k})$ by $gr_{k}^{*}(K_{3}: H)$. We determine the star-critical Gallai-Ramsey numbers for complete graphs and some small graphs. Furthermore, we show that $gr_{k}^{*}(K_3: H)$ is exponential in $k$ if $H$ is not bipartite, linear in $k$ if $H$ is bipartite but not a star and constant (not depending on $k$) if $H$ is a star.

Gallai-Ramsey numbers for graphs with five vertices and eight edges
Published • View PublicationBIB
A Gallai $k$-coloring is a $k$-edge coloring of a complete graph in which there are no rainbow triangles. For given graphs $G_1, G_2, G_3$ and nonnegative integers $r, s, t$ with that $k=r+s+t$, the $k$-colored Gallai-Ramsey number $gr_{k}(K_{3}: r\cdot G_1,~ s\cdot G_2, ~t\cdot G_3)$ is the minimum integer $n$ such that every Gallai $k$-colored $K_{n}$ contains a monochromatic copy of $G_1$ colored by one of the first $r$ colors or a monochromatic copy of $G_2$ colored by one of the middle $s$ colors or a monochromatic copy of $G_3$ colored by one of the last $t$ colors. In this paper, we determine the value of Gallai-Ramsey number in the case that $G_1=B_{3}^{+}$, $G_2=S_{3}^+$ and $G_3=K_3$. Then the Gallai-Ramsey number $gr_{k}(K_{3}: B_{3}^{+})$ is obtained. Thus the Gllai-Ramsey numbers for graphs with five vertices and eight edges are solved completely. Furthermore, the the Gallai-Ramsey numbers $gr_{k}(K_{3}: r\cdot B_3^+,~ (k-r)\cdot S_3^+)$, $gr_{k}(K_{3}: r\cdot B_3^+,~ (k-r)\cdot K_3)$ and $gr_{k}(K_{3}: s\cdot S_3^+,~ (k-s)\cdot K_3)$ are obtained, respecticely.

Gallai-Ramsey numbers for graphs with five vertices of chromatic number four
Given a graph $H$ and an integer $k\ge1$, the Gallai-Ramsey number $GR_k(H)$ is defined to be the minimum integer $n$ such that every $k$-edge coloring of $K_n$ contains either a rainbow (all different colored) triangle or a monochromatic copy of $H$. In this paper, we determine the Gallai-Ramsey numbers for connected graphs with five vertices of chromatic number four.

In this paper, we obtain the exact value of the Gallai-Ramsey numbers for the union of two stars in many cases and bounds in other cases. This work represents the first class of disconnected graphs to be considered as the desired monochromatic subgraph.

A Gallai $k$-coloring is a $k$-edge coloring of a complete graph in which there are no rainbow triangles. For two given graphs $H, G$ and two positive integers $k,s$ with that $s\leq k$, the $k$-colored Gallai-Ramsey number $gr_{k}(K_{3}: s\cdot H,~ (k-s)\cdot G)$ is the minimum integer $n$ such that every Gallai $k$-colored $K_{n}$ contains a monochromatic copy of $H$ colored by one of the first $s$ colors or a monochromatic copy of $G$ colored by one of the remaining $k-s$ colors. In this paper, we determine the value of Gallai-Ramsey number in the case that $H=K_{4}^{+}$ and $G=K_{3}$. Thus the Gallai-Ramsey number $gr_{k}(K_{3}: K_{4}^{+})$ is obtained.

Extremal problems and results related to Gallai-colorings
Published in DiscreteMathematics, 2021 • View PublicationBIB
A Gallai-coloring (Gallai-$k$-coloring) is an edge-coloring (with colors from $\{1, 2, \ldots, k\}$) of a complete graph without rainbow triangles. Given a graph $H$ and a positive integer $k$, the $k$-colored Gallai-Ramsey number $GR_k(H)$ is the minimum integer $n$ such that every Gallai-$k$-coloring of the complete graph $K_n$ contains a monochromatic copy of $H$. In this paper, we consider two extremal problems related to Gallai-$k$-colorings. First, we determine upper and lower bounds for the maximum number of edges that are not contained in any rainbow triangle or monochromatic triangle in a $k$-edge-coloring of $K_n$. Second, for $n\geq GR_k(K_3)$, we determine upper and lower bounds for the minimum number of monochromatic triangles in a Gallai-$k$-coloring of $K_{n}$, yielding the exact value for $k=3$. Furthermore, we determine the Gallai-Ramsey number $GR_k(K_4+e)$ for the graph on five vertices consisting of a $K_4$ with a pendant edge.

Gallai-Ramsey numbers for graphs with chromatic number three

Given a graph $H$ and an integer $k\ge1$, the Gallai-Ramsey number $GR_k(H)$ is defined to be the minimum integer $n$ such that every $k$-edge coloring of the complete graph $K_n$ contains either a rainbow (all different colored) triangle or a monochromatic copy of $H$. In this paper, we study Gallai-Ramsey numbers for graphs with chromatic number three such as $\widehat{K}_m$ for $m\ge2$, where $\widehat{K}_m$ is a kipas with $m+1$ vertices obtained from the join of $K_1$ and $P_m$, and a class of graphs with five vertices, denoted by $\mathscr{H}$. We first study the general lower bound of such graphs and propose a conjecture for the exact value of $GR_k(\widehat{K}_m)$. Then we give a unified proof to determine the Gallai-Ramsey numbers for many graphs in $\mathscr{H}$ and obtain the exact value of $GR_k(\widehat{K}_4)$ for $k\ge1$. Our outcomes not only indicate that the conjecture on $GR_k(\widehat{K}_m)$ is true for $m\le4$, but also imply several results on $GR_k(H)$ for some $H\in \mathscr{H}$ which are proved individually in different papers.
Gallai Ramsey number for double stars
Given a graph $G$ and a positive integer $k$, the \emph{Gallai-Ramsey number} is defined to be the minimum number of vertices $n$ such that any $k$-edge coloring of $K_n$ contains either a rainbow (all different colored) copy of $G$ or a monochromatic copy of $G$. In this paper, we obtain general upper and lower bounds on the Gallai-Ramsey numbers for double stars $S(n,m)$, where $S(n,m)$ is the graph obtained from the union of two stars $K_{1,n}$ and $K_{1,m}$ by adding an edge between their centers. We also provide the sharp result in some cases.

In this paper, we obtain general upper and lower bounds on the Gallai-Ramsey numbers for the graph $G = S_t^{r}$ obtained from a star of order $t$ by adding $r$ extra independent edges between leaves of the star so there are $r$ triangles and $t - 2r - 1$ pendent edges in $S_t^{r}$. We also prove some sharp results when $t = 2$.

Gallai-Ramsey number of even cycles with chords
Published • View PublicationBIB
For a graph $H$ and an integer $k\ge1$, the $k$-color Ramsey number $R_k(H)$ is the least integer $N$ such that every $k$-coloring of the edges of the complete graph $K_N$ contains a monochromatic copy of $H$. Let $C_m$ denote the cycle on $m\ge4$ vertices and let $Θ_m$ denote the family of graphs obtained from $C_m$ by adding an additional edge joining two non-consecutive vertices. Unlike Ramsey number of odd cycles, little is known about the general behavior of $R_k(C_{2n})$ except that $R_k(C_{2n})\ge (n-1)k+n+k-1$ for all $k\ge2$ and $n\ge2$. In this paper, we study Ramsey number of even cycles with chords under Gallai colorings, where a Gallai coloring is a coloring of the edges of a complete graph without rainbow triangles. For an integer $k\geq 1$, the Gallai-Ramsey number $GR_k(H)$ of a graph $H$ is the least positive integer $N$ such that every Gallai $k$-coloring of the complete graph $K_N$ contains a monochromatic copy of $H$. We prove that $GR_k(Θ_{2n})=(n-1)k+n+1$ for all $k\geq 2$ and $n\geq 3$. This implies that $GR_k(C_{2n})=(n-1)k+n+1$ all $k\geq 2$ and $n\geq 3$. Our result yields a unified proof for the Gallai-Ramsey number of all even cycles on at least four vertices.

A note on Gallai-Ramsey number of even wheels
A Gallai coloring of a complete graph is an edge-coloring such that no triangle has all its edges colored differently. A Gallai $k$-coloring is a Gallai coloring that uses $k$ colors. Given a graph $H$ and an integer $k\geq 1$, the Gallai-Ramsey number $GR_k(H)$ of $H$ is the least positive integer $N$ such that every Gallai $k$-coloring of the complete graph $K_N$ contains a monochromatic copy of $H$. Let $W_{2n} $ denote an even wheel on $2n+1\ge5$ vertices. In this note, we study Gallai-Ramsey number of $W_{2n}$ and completely determine the exact value of $GR_k(W_4)$ for all $k\ge2$.
Ramsey and Gallai-Ramsey number for wheels
Given a graph $G$ and a positive integer $k$, define the \emph{Gallai-Ramsey number} to be the minimum number of vertices $n$ such that any $k$-edge coloring of $K_n$ contains either a rainbow (all different colored) triangle or a monochromatic copy of $G$. Much like graph Ramsey numbers, Gallai-Ramsey numbers have gained a reputation as being very difficult to compute in general. As yet, still only precious few sharp results are known. In this paper, we obtain bounds on the Gallai-Ramsey number for wheels and the exact value for the wheel on $5$ vertices.
