Fixed point theorem for cluster modular groups
We prove that any finite subgroup $G \subset Γ_{\boldsymbol{s}}$ of the cluster modular group has fixed points in the cluster manifolds $\mathcal{A}_{\boldsymbol{s}}(\mathbb{R}_{>0})$ and $\mathcal{X}_{\boldsymbol{s}}(\mathbb{R}_{>0})$ under a certain condition. This generalizes Kerckhoff's Nielsen realization theorem [Ker83] for the mapping class group action on the Teichmüller space. The condition holds whenever $Γ_{\boldsymbol{s}}$ admits a cluster DT transformation, and it can be also verified for all finite mutation types except for $X_7$. Our proof closely follows Kerckhoff's argument, based on the convexity of log-cluster variables.

Infinite circle patterns in the Weil-Petersson class
Analogous to Weil-Petersson quasicircles, we investigate infinite circle patterns in the Euclidean plane parameterized by discrete harmonic functions of finite Dirichlet energy. The space of such circle patterns forms an infinite-dimensional Hilbert manifold homeomorphic to the Sobolev space of half-differentiable functions on the unit circle. The Hilbert manifold is equipped with a Riemannian metric induced from the Hessian of a hyperbolic volume functional. We relate this Riemannian metric to the symplectic form on the Sobolev space of half-differentiable functions via an analogue of the Hilbert transform. Every such circle pattern induces a quasiconformal homeomorphism from the unit disk to itself, whose boundary extension belongs to the Weil-Petersson class of the universal Teichmüller space. Our results shed light on Jordan domains packed by infinite circle patterns of hyperbolic type, a subject highlighted by He and Schramm.

Finiteness of specializations of the $q$-deformed modular group at roots of unity
Recently, Morier-Genoud and Ovsienko introduced the $q$-deformed modular group. For construction, they first gave a group $G_q \subset \operatorname{GL}(2, {\mathbb Z}[q^{\pm}])$ and then set $\operatorname{PSL}_q(2,{\mathbb Z}):=G_q/Z(G_q)$. We show that for $ζ\in {\mathbb C}^*$, $\operatorname{PSL}_q(2,{\mathbb Z})|_{q=ζ}$ is finite, if and only if so is $G_q(ζ):=G_q|_{q=ζ} \subset \operatorname{GL}(2,{\mathbb C})$, if and only if $ζ=ζ_n$ for $n=2,3,4,5$, where $ζ_n$ is a primitive $n$-th root of unity. Moreover, $G_q(ζ_n) \cap \operatorname{SL}(2,\mathbb{C})$ is isomorphic to the binary tetrahedral group (resp. the binary icosahedral group), if $n=3,4$ (resp. $n=5$). When $n=6$, the groups are infinite, but still "mild". We also give several applications (e.g., the special values of the normalized Jones polynomials of rational links).

A tale of two volumes of moduli spaces: Weil-Petersson and Masur-Veech
Weil-Petersson and Masur-Veech volumes measure the sizes of moduli spaces of Riemann surfaces equipped with hyperbolic and flat metrics, respectively. Over the past several decades, the computation of these volumes has inspired remarkable developments in combinatorial enumeration, intersection theory, and recursion relations. In this survey, we review key results, methods, open problems, as well as interesting parallels that emerge in the approaches to computing both types of volumes.

Surface topology and incidence theorems over division rings
Incidence theorems concern configurations of points, lines, and, more generally, higher-dimensional subspaces in projective space. Broadly speaking, such theorems fall into two classes: those that hold over an arbitrary division ring, such as Desargues' theorem, and those that hold only over fields, such as Pappus' theorem. In this paper, we explain the topological origin of this distinction. To this end, we extend to the noncommutative setting the surface-graph approach to incidence theorems developed by Richter-Gebert, Fomin, and Pylyavskyy. We then show that theorems associated with graphs embedded on the sphere, such as Desargues' theorem, hold over any division ring, whereas theorems corresponding to graphs embedded on surfaces of positive genus, such as Pappus' theorem, typically hold if and only if the ground ring is a field.

The half-monochromatic colorings of plane graphs with even polygonal faces
Published • View Publication • BIB
On the maximum number of colors for proper anti-rainbow colorings on a planar quadrangulation, an upper bound was given by Enami-Ozeki-Yamaguchi in terms of the independence number. In this paper, as an extension, we introduce the half-monochromatic coloring on a plane graph with even polygonal faces, and give an upper bound on the maximum number of colors for such colorings in terms of the independence number.

Intrinsic linking of a simplicial $n$-complex embedded in $\mathbb{R}^{2n}$
Published • View Publication • BIB
We demonstrate the existence of minimal simplicial $n$-complexes which inevitably contain a nonsplittable two-component link formed by an $(n-1)$-sphere and an $n$-sphere in any embedding into $\mathbb{R}^{2n}$. This provides a higher-dimensional generalization of graphs that are not non-separating planar.
Six-dimensional GKM manifolds with four fixed points
In this paper, we study $6$-dimensional GKM manifolds with $4$ fixed points. We classify all possible GKM graphs, and for each type of graph we construct a manifold, proving the existence. We show that six types occur. (P1) complex projective space $\mathbb{C} P^3$ with standard complex structure (P2) blow up of $S^6$ at a fixed point, diffeomorphic to $\mathbb{C} P^3$ (P3) $\mathbb{C} P^3$ as the homogeneous space $\mathrm{Sp}(2)/(\mathrm{U}(1) \times \mathrm{Sp}(1))$ with non-standard almost complex structure (Q1) complex quadric $Q_3$ with standard complex structure (Q2) blow up of $S^6$ along isotropy $2$-sphere, diffeomorphic to $Q_3$ (S) $S^2 \times S^4$, obtained as equivariant gluing along orbits of two $S^6$'s
