Let $\mathcal{D}$ be a weighted oriented graph and $I(\mathcal{D})$ be its edge ideal.
In this paper, we show that all the symbolic and ordinary powers of
$I(\mathcal{D})$ coincide when $\mathcal{D}$ is a weighted oriented certain class of tree.
Finally, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the equality of ordinary and symbolic powers of naturally oriented lines.
Edge ideals of Erdös-Rényi random graphs : Linear resolution, unmixedness and regularity

We study the homological algebra of edge ideals of Erdös-Rényi random graphs. These random graphs are generated by deleting edges of a complete graph on $n$ vertices independently of each other with probability $1-p$. We focus on some aspects of these random edge ideals - linear resolution, unmixedness and algebraic invariants like the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity, projective dimension and depth. We first show a double phase transition for existence of linear presentation and resolution and determine the critical windows as well. As a consequence, we obtain that except for a very specific choice of parameters (i.e., $n,p := p(n)$), with high probability, a random edge ideal has linear presentation if and only if it has linear resolution. This shows certain conjectures hold true for large random graphs with high probability even though the conjectures were shown to fail for determinstic graphs. Next, we study asymptotic behaviour of some algebraic invariants - the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity, projective dimension and depth - of such random edge ideals in the sparse regime (i.e., $p = \fracλ{n}, λ\in (0,\infty)$). These invariants are studied using local weak convergence (or Benjamini-Schramm convergence) and relating them to invariants on Galton-Watson trees. We also show that when $p \to 0$ or $p \to 1$ fast enough, then with high probability the edge ideals are unmixed and for most other choices of $p$, these ideals are not unmixed with high probability. This is further progress towards the conjecture that random monomial ideals are unlikely to have Cohen-Macaulay property (see De Loera et al. 2019a,2019b) in the setting when the number of variables goes to infinity but the degree is fixed.

Let $I$ and $J$ be edge ideals in a polynomial ring $R = \mathbb{K}[x_1,\ldots,x_n]$ with $I \subseteq J$. In this paper, we obtain a general upper and lower bound for the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of $IJ$ in terms of certain invariants associated with $I$ and $J$. Using these results, we explicitly compute the regularity of $IJ$ for several classes of edge ideals. Let $J_1,\ldots,J_d$ be edge ideals in a polynomial ring $R$ with $J_1 \subseteq \cdots \subseteq J_d$. Finally, we compute the precise expression for the regularity of $J_1 J_2\cdots J_d$ when $d \in \{3,4\}$ and $J_d$ is the edge ideal of complete graph.

We study the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of powers of edge ideals. We prove that if G is a bipartite graph, then reg(I(G)^s) \leq 2s + reg I(G) - 2 for all s \geq 2, which is the best possible upper bound for any s. Suspension plays a key role in proof of the base case s =2.

Let $I = I(G)$ be the edge ideal of a graph $G$. We give various general upper bounds for the regularity function $\text{reg} I^s$, for $s \ge 1$, addressing a conjecture made by the authors and Alilooee. When $G$ is a gap-free graph and locally of regularity 2, we show that $\text{reg} I^s = 2s$ for all $s \ge 2$. This is a slightly weaker version of a conjecture of Nevo and Peeva. Our method is to investigate the regularity function $\text{reg}I^s$, for $s \ge 1$, via local information of $I$.
Regularity of Edge Ideals and Their Powers
We survey recent studies on the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of edge ideals of graphs and their powers. Our focus is on bounds and exact values of $\text{reg} I(G)$ and the asymptotic linear function $\text{reg} I(G)^q$, for $q \geq 1,$ in terms of combinatorial data of the given graph $G.$

We relate homological properties of a binomial edge ideal $\mathcal{J}_G$ to invariants that measure the connectivity of a simple graph $G$. Specifically, we show if $R/\mathcal{J}_G$ is a Cohen-Macaulay ring, then graph toughness of $G$ is exactly $\frac{1}{2}$. We also give an inequality between the depth of $R/\mathcal{J}_G$ and the vertex-connectivity of $G$. In addition, we study the Hilbert-Samuel multiplicity, and the Hilbert-Kunz multiplicity of $R/\mathcal{J}_G$.

In this paper we prove the existence of a special order on the set of minimal monomial generators of powers of edge ideals of arbitrary graphs. Using this order we find new upper bounds on the regularity of powers of edge ideals of graphs whose complement does not have any induced four cycle.
