In this paper we study a filtered "K-theoretical" analog of a graded algebra associated to any loopless graph G which was introduced in \cite{PS}. We show that two such filtered algebras are isomorphic if and only if their graphs are isomorphic. We also study a large family of filtered generalizations of the latter graded algebra which includes the above "K-theoretical" analog.

Schur-Szego composition of polynomials of degree N introduces an interesting semigroup structure on polynomial spaces. In this note we show how it interacts with the stratification of polynomials according to the multiplicity of their zeros and present the induced semigroup structure on the set of all ordered partitions of N.

We study the distribution of the number of permutations with a given periodic up-down sequence w.r.t. the last entry, find exponential generating functions and prove asymptotic formulas for this distribution.

We study the number of real rational degree n functions (considered up to linear fractional transformations of the independent variable) with a given set of 2n-2 distinct real critical values. We present a combinatorial reformulation of this number and pose several related questions.

We prove that the number of connected components in the intersection of two open opposite Schubert cells in the variety of complete real n-dimensional flags equals 3*2^{n-1} for n>5.
