Given posets $\mathbf{P}_1,\mathbf{P}_2,\ldots,\mathbf{P}_k$, let the {\em Boolean Ramsey number} $R(\mathbf{P}_1,\mathbf{P}_2,\ldots,\mathbf{P}_k)$ be the minimum number $n$ such that no matter how we color the elements in the Boolean lattice $\mathbf{B}_n$ with $k$ colors, there always exists a poset $\mathbf{P}_i$ contained in $\mathbf{B}_n$ whose elements are all colored with $i$. This function was first introduced by Axenovich and Walzer~\cite{AW}. Recently, many results on determining $R(\mathbf{B}_m,\mathbf{B}_n)$ have been published. In this paper, we will study the function $R(\mathbf{P}_1,\mathbf{P}_2,\ldots,\mathbf{P}_k)$ for each $\mathbf{P}_i$'s being the $V$-shaped poset. That is, a poset obtained by identifying the minimal elements of two chains.
Another major result presented in the paper is to determine the minimal posets $\mathbf{Q}$ contained in $\mathbf{B}_n$, when $R(\mathbf{P}_1,\mathbf{P}_2,\ldots,\mathbf{P}_k)=n$ is determined, having the Ramsey property described in the previous paragraph.
In addition, we define the {\em Boolean rainbow Ramsey number} $RR(\mathbf{P},\mathbf{Q})$ the minimum number $n$ such that when arbitrarily coloring the elements in $\mathbf{B}_n$, there always exists either a monochromatic $\mathbf{P}$ or a rainbow $\mathbf{Q}$ contained in $\mathbf{B}_n$. The upper bound for $RR(\mathbf{P},\mathbf{A}_k)$ was given by Chang, Li, Gerbner, Methuku, Nagy, Patkos, and Vizer for general poset $\mathbf{P}$ and $k$-element antichain $\mathbf{A}_k$. We study the function for $\mathbf{P}$ being the $V$-shaped posets in this paper as well.
Beyond Hamiltonicity of Prime Difference Graphs
A graph is Hamiltonian if it contains a cycle which visits every vertex of the graph exactly once. In this paper, we consider the problem of Hamiltonicity of a graph $G_n$, which will be called the prime difference graph of order $n$, with vertex set $\{1,2,\cdots, n\}$ and edge set $\{uv: |u-v|$ is a prime number$\}$. A recent result, conjectured by Sun and later proved by Chen, asserts that $G_n$ is Hamiltonian for $n\geq 5$. This paper extends their result in three directions. First, we prove that for any two integers $a$ and $b$ with $1\leq a<b\leq n$, there is a Hamilton path in $G_n$ from $a$ to $b$ except some cases of small $n$. This result implies robustness of the Hamiltonicity property of the prime difference graph in a sense that for any edge $e$ in $G_n$ there exists a Hamilton cycle containing $e$. Second, we show that the prime difference graph contains considerably more about the cycle structure than Hamiltonicity; precisely, for any integer $n\geq 7$, the prime difference graph $G_n$ contains any 2-factor of the complete graph of order $n$ as a subgraph. Finally, we find that $G_n$ may contain more edge-disjoint Hamilton cycles. In particular, these Hamilton cycles are generated by two prime differences.
An Easy-to-implement Construction for $(k,n)$-threshold Progressive Visual Secret Sharing Schemes
Visual cryptography encrypts the secret image into $n$ shares (transparency) so that only stacking a qualified number of shares can recover the secret image by the human visual system while no information can be revealed without a large enough number of shares. This paper investigates the $(k,n)$-threshold Visual Secret Sharing (VSS) model, where one can decrypt the original image by stacking at least $k$ shares and get nothing with less than $k$ shares. There are two main approaches in the literature: codebook-based schemes and random-grid-based schemes; the former is the case of this paper. In general, given any positive integers $k$ and $n$, it is not easy to design a valid scheme for the $(k,n)$-threshold VSS model. In this paper, we propose a simple strategy to construct an efficient scheme for the $(k,n)$-threshold VSS model for any positive integers $2\leq k\leq n$. The crucial idea is to establish a seemingly unrelated connection between the $(k,n)$-threshold VSS scheme and a mathematical structure -- the generalized Pascal's triangle. This paper improves and extends previous results in four aspects:
Our construction offers a unified viewpoint and covers several known results;
The resulting scheme has a progressive-viewing property that means the more shares being stacked together the clearer the secret image would be revealed.
The proposed scheme can be constructed explicitly and efficiently based on the generalized Pascal's triangle without a computer.
Performance of the proposed scheme is comparable with known results.
The Boolean Rainbow Ramsey Number of Antichains, Boolean Posets, and Chains

Motivated by the paper of Axenovich and Walzer [2], we study the Ramsey-type problems on the Boolean lattices. Given posets $P$ and $Q$, we look for the smallest Boolean lattice $\mathcal{B}_N$ such that any coloring on elements of $\mathcal{B}_N$ must contain a monochromatic $P$ or a rainbow $Q$. This number $N$ is called the Boolean rainbow Ramsey number of $P$ and $Q$ in the paper.
Particularly, we determine the exact values of the Boolean rainbow Ramsey number for $P$ and $Q$ being the antichains, the Boolean posets, or the chains. From these results, we also give some general upper and lower bounds of the Boolean rainbow Ramsey number for general $P$ and $Q$ in terms of the poset parameters.
Shifted-antimagic Labelings for Graphs

The concept of antimagic labelings of a graph is to produce distinct vertex sums by labeling edges through consecutive numbers starting from one. A long-standing conjecture is that every connected graph, except a single edge, is antimagic. Some graphs are known to be antimagic, but little has been known about sparse graphs, not even trees.
This paper studies a weak version called $k$-shifted-antimagic labelings which allow the consecutive numbers starting from $k+1$, instead of starting from 1, where $k$ can be any integer. This paper establishes connections among various concepts proposed in the literature of antimagic labelings and extends previous results in three aspects:
$\bullet$ Some classes of graphs, including trees and graphs whose vertices are of odd degrees, which have not been verified to be antimagic are shown to be $k$-shifted-antimagic for sufficiently large $k$.
$\bullet$ Some graphs are proved $k$-shifted-antimagic for all $k$, while some are proved not for some particular $k$.
$\bullet$ Disconnected graphs are also considered.
From a Consequence of Bertrand's Postulate to Hamilton Cycles
A consequence of Bertrand's postulate, proved by L. Greenfield and S. Greenfield in 1998, assures that the set of integers $\{1,2,\cdots, 2n\}$ can be partitioned into pairs so that the sum of each pair is a prime number for any positive integer $n$. Cutting through it from the angle of Graph Theory, this paper provides new insights into the problem. We conjecture a stronger statement that the set of integers $\{1,2,\cdots, 2n\}$ can be rearranged into a cycle so that the sum of any two adjacent integers is a prime number. Our main result is that this conjecture is true for infinitely many cases.

For two posets $P$ and $Q$, we say $Q$ is $P$-free if there does not exist any order-preserving injection from $P$ to $Q$. The speical case for $Q$ being the Boolean lattice $B_n$ is well-studied, and the optiamal value is denoted as $\lanp$. Let us define $\La(Q,P)$ to be the largest size of any $P$-free subposet of $Q$.
In this paper, we give an upper bound for $\La(Q,P)$ when $Q$ is a double chain and $P$ is any graded poset, which is better than the previous known upper bound, by means of finding the indpendence number of an auxiliary graph related to $P$. For the auxiliary graph, we can find its independence number in polynomial time. In addition, we give methods to construct the posets satisfying the Griggs-Lu conjecture.

This paper studies the on-line choice number on complete multipartite graphs with independence number $m$. We give a unified strategy for every prescribed $m$. Our main result leads to several interesting consequences comparable to known results. (1) If $ k_1-\sum_{p=2}^m(\frac{p^2}{2}-\frac{3p}{2}+1)k_p\geq 0$, where $k_p$ denotes the number of parts of cardinality $p$, then $G$ is on-line chromatic-choosable. (2) If $ |V(G)|\leq\frac{m^2-m+2}{m^2-3m+4}χ(G)$, then $G$ is on-line chromatic-choosable. (3) The on-line choice number of regular complete multipartite graphs $K_{m\star k}$ is at most $(m+\frac{1}{2}-\sqrt{2m-2})k$ for $m\geq 3$.
Multi-Group Testing for Items with Real-Valued Status under Standard Arithmetic

This paper proposes a novel generalization of group testing, called multi-group testing, which relaxes the notion of "testing subset" in group testing to "testing multi-set". The generalization aims to learn more information of each item to be tested rather than identify only defectives as was done in conventional group testing. This paper provides efficient nonadaptive strategies for the multi-group testing problem. The major tool is a new structure, $q$-ary additive $(w,d)$-disjunct matrix, which is a generalization of the well-known binary disjunct matrix introduced by Kautz and Singleton in 1964.
