On maximum distance separable and completely regular codes
We investigate when a maximum distance separable ($MDS$) code over $F_q$ is also completely regular ($CR$). For lengths $n=q+1$ and $n=q+2$ we provide a complete classification of the $MDS$ codes that are $CR$ or at least uniformly packed in the wide sense ($UPWS$). For the more restricted case $n\leq q$ with $q\leq 5$ we obtain a full classification (up to equivalence) of all nontrivial $MDS$ codes: there are none for $q=2$; only the ternary Hamming code for $q=3$; four nontrivial families for $q=4$; and exactly six linear $MDS$ codes for $q=5$ (three of which are $CR$ and one admits a self-dual version). Additionally, we close two gaps left open in a previous classification of self-dual $CR$ codes with covering radius $ρ\leq 3$: we precisely determine over which finite fields the $MDS$ self-dual completely regular codes with parameters $[2,1,2]_q$ and $[4,2,3]_q$ exist.

Hadamard full propelinear codes with associated group $C_{2t}\times C_2$; rank and kernel
We introduce the Hadamard full propelinear codes that factorize as direct product of groups such that their associated group is $C_{2t}\times C_2$. We study the rank, the dimension of the kernel, and the structure of these codes. For several specific parameters we establish some links from circulant Hadamard matrices and the nonexistence of the codes we study. We prove that the dimension of the kernel of these codes is bounded by 3 if the code is nonlinear. We also get an equivalence between circulant complex Hadamard matrix and a type of Hadamard full propelinear code, and we find a new example of circulant complex Hadamard matrix of order 16.

Circulant Hadamard matrices as HFP-codes of type $C_{4n}\times C_2$
We prove that a circulant Hadamard code of length $4n$ can always be seen as an HFP-code (Hadamard full propelinear code) of type $C_{4n}\times C_2$, where $C_2=\langle u\rangle$ or the same, as a cocyclic Hadamard code. We compute the rank and dimension of the kernel of these kind of codes.

Families of Hadamard Z2Z4Q8-codes
A Z2Z4Q8-code is a non-empty subgroup of a direct product of copies of Z_2, Z_4 and Q_8 (the binary field, the ring of integers modulo 4 and the quaternion group on eight elements, respectively). Such Z2Z4Q8-codes are translation invariant propelinear codes as the well known Z_4-linear or Z_2Z_4-linear codes. In the current paper, we show that there exist "pure" Z2Z4Q8-codes, that is, codes that do not admit any abelian translation invariant propelinear structure. We study the dimension of the kernel and rank of the Z2Z4Q8-codes, and we give upper and lower bounds for these parameters. We give tools to construct a new class of Hadamard codes formed by several families of Z2Z4Q8-codes; we study and show the different shapes of such a codes and we improve the upper and lower bounds for the rank and the dimension of the kernel when the codes are Hadamard.

On linear $q$-ary completely regular codes with $ρ=2$ and dual antipodal
Published • View PublicationBIB
We characterize all linear $q$-ary completely regular codes with covering radius $ρ=2$ when the dual codes are antipodal. These completely regular codes are extensions of linear completely regular codes with covering radius 1, which are all classified. For $ρ=2$, we give a list of all such codes known to us. This also gives the characterization of two weight linear antipodal codes.

On lifting perfect codes
Published • View PublicationBIB
In this paper we consider completely regular codes, obtained from perfect (Hamming) codes by lifting the ground field. More exactly, for a given perfect code C of length n=(q^m-1)/(q-1) over F_q with a parity check matrix H_m, we define a new code C_{(m,r)} of length n over F_{q^r}, r > 1, with this parity check matrix H_m. The resulting code C_{(m,r)} is completely regular with covering radius R = min{r,m}. We compute the intersection numbers of such codes and, finally, we prove that Hamming codes are the only codes that, after lifting the ground field, result in completely regular codes.
