Matroid correspondence
Motivated by algebraic correspondences and linear operators associated with volume and Lorentzian polynomials, we introduce matroid correspondences and their polymatroid analogues. A matroid correspondence defines a functor between poset categories of matroids whose morphisms are matroid quotients, and various standard functors, including deletion, contraction, free extension, truncation, intersection, union, and pullback, arise in this way. We show that these correspondences preserve representability and algebraicity under natural hypotheses. In the polymatroid setting, we establish compatibility with multisymmetric lifts. Finally, we relate this construction to the supports of linear operators with Lorentzian symbols.

Computing parametric weighted Ehrhart polynomials of smooth polytopes
We show that when integral polytopes are deformed while keeping the same facet normal vectors, the coefficients of weighted Ehrhart and $h^*$-polynomials are piecewise polynomial functions in the ``right hand sides'' of the linear inequalities defining the polytopes. We give an algorithm and an implementation in SageMath for computing these polynomials for smooth polytopes, such as type $A$ alcoved polytopes, using a weighted Euler-Maclaurin type formula by Khovanskiǐ and Pukhlikov. We discuss some natural questions concerning signs of the coefficients of the weighted $h^*$-polynomials.
Unit interval parking functions and the $r$-Fubini numbers
We recall that unit interval parking functions of length $n$ are a subset of parking functions in which every car parks in its preference or in the spot after its preference, and Fubini rankings of length $n$ are rankings of $n$ competitors allowing for ties. We present an independent proof of a result of Hadaway, which establishes that unit interval parking functions and Fubini rankings are in bijection. We also prove that the cardinality of these sets are given by Fubini numbers. In addition, we give a complete characterization of unit interval parking functions by determining when a rearrangement of a unit interval parking function is again a unit interval parking function. This yields an identity for the Fubini numbers as a sum of multinomials over compositions. Moreover, we introduce a generalization of Fubini rankings, which we call the $r$-Fubini rankings of length $n+r$. We show that this set is in bijection with unit interval parking functions of length $n+r$ where the first $r$ cars have distinct preferences. We conclude by establishing that these sets are enumerated by the $r$-Fubini numbers.
The lexicographically least square-free word with a given prefix

The lexicographically least square-free infinite word on the alphabet of non-negative integers with a given prefix $p$ is denoted $L(p)$. When $p$ is the empty word, this word was shown by Guay-Paquet and Shallit to be the ruler sequence. For other prefixes, the structure is significantly more complicated. In this paper, we show that $L(p)$ reflects the structure of the ruler sequence for several words $p$. We provide morphisms that generate $L(n)$ for letters $n=1$ and $n\geq3$, and $L(p)$ for most families of two-letter words $p$.
