Wilf classification of bi-vincular permutation patterns
We classify all bi-vincular patterns of length two and three according to the number of permutations avoiding them. These patterns were recently defined by Bousquet-Melou et. al., and are natural generalizations of Babson and Steingrimsson's generalized patterns.
The patterns are divided into seven and 24 Wilf classes, for lengths two and three, respectively. For most of the patterns an explicit form for the number of permutations avoiding the pattern is given.
Ascent sequences and upper triangular matrices containing non-negative integers

This paper presents a bijection between ascent sequences and upper triangular matrices whose non-negative entries are such that all rows and columns contain at least one non-zero entry. We show the equivalence of several natural statistics on these structures under this bijection and prove that some of these statistics are equidistributed. Several special classes of matrices are shown to have simple formulations in terms of ascent sequences. Binary matrices are shown to correspond to ascent sequences with no two adjacent entries the same. Bidiagonal matrices are shown to be related to order-consecutive set partitions and a simple condition on the ascent sequences generate this class.
Some bijections on set partitions
This paper has been withdrawn by the author due to an error in Lemma 3, making the (bijective) proof of Theorem 4 and Corollary 5 invalid (symmetry of k-nonnesting and k-noncrossing set partitions).
Parametric production matrices and weighted succession rules: a Dyck path example
We introduce weighted succession rules and parametric production matrices - simple extensions of the standard ECO method succession rules and production matrices. The purpose is to enumerate combinatorial objects with respect to several variables. We consider one main example, from the theory of Dyck paths. The path statistics primarily considered are peak height, rise height, and certain subwalks. Many classical sequences (such as the Catalan, Motzkin, Narayana and Schroeder numbers) are incorporated in this example.
Cycles and patterns in permutations
We study joint distributions of cycles and patterns in permutations written in standard cycle form. We explore both classical and generalised patterns of length 2 and 3. Many extensions of classical theory are achieved; bivariate generating functions for inversions, ascents, descents, 123s, valleys, 1'-2-1s; closed forms forms for avoidance of peaks, 2-3-1s, 1-2-3s, 2'-1-2s and 1'-2-1s; bijective proofs of Wilf-equivalences.
We also derive some results about standard pattern occurrence, such as continued fractions for the generating functions for occurrences of valleys and the pattern 123.
The methods are simple and combinatorial in nature: direct enumerative analysis and bijections to lattice paths.

We count the number of occurrences of restricted patterns of length 3 in permutations with respect to length and the number of cycles. The main tool is a bijection between permutations in standard cycle form and weighted Motzkin paths.
