Linear and group identifying codes in Hamming Graphs
Codes are crucial in many areas of applications. Different types of codes are designed to meet specific needs, which makes them more effective and useful. Linear codes are extensively used in data storage systems. Identifying codes are essential for locating malfunctioning processors. To combine these benefits, researchers have looked into a type of code called linear identifying codes. These codes blend the error-correction abilities of linear codes with the fault-finding capabilities of identifying codes. Group codes are also highly regarded for their strong properties and reliable decoding methods. In our work, we introduce a new type of identifying code called group Identifying codes. These codes aim to bring together the best features of both Identifying codes and group codes, offering enhanced performance in fault detection and system reliability. In this paper, we establish limits on the smallest size of a group identifying code when \( G \) is an \( n \)-dimensional Hamming cube \( K_{m_1} \square K_{m_2} \square \dots \square K_{m_n} \). Additionally, we determine the smallest size of a linear identifying code in \( K_p^n \) for a prime \( p \) and \( n \geq 2 \). In [1], it was hypothesized that \( γ^{ID}(K_m^3) = m^2 \) for an integer \( m \geq 2 \). Although this conjecture was disproven in [2], we demonstrate that group identifying codes in \( K_m^3 \) for an integer \( m \geq 2 \) and linear identifying codes in \( K_p^3 \) for a prime \( p \) indeed fulfill this conjecture.

Quasi perfect codes in the cartesian product of some graphs
An important question in the study of quasi-perfect codes is whether such codes can be constructed for all possible lengths $n$. In this paper, we address this question for specific values of $n$. First, we investigate the existence of quasi-perfect codes in the Cartesian product of a graph $G$ and a path (or cycle), assuming that $G$ admits a perfect code. Second, we explore quasi-perfect codes in the Cartesian products of two or three cycles, $C_m\square C_n$ and $C_m\square C_n\square C_l$, as well as in the Cartesian products of two or three paths, $P_m\square P_n$ and $P_m\square P_n\square P_l$.

The 3-path-connectivity of the augmented cubes
Connectivity is a cornerstone concept in graph theory, essential for evaluating the robustness of networks against failures. To better capture fault tolerance in complex systems, researchers have extended classical connectivity notions, one such extension being the $k$-path-connectivity, $π_k(G)$, introduced by Hager. Given a connected simple graph $G = (V, E)$ and a subset $D \subseteq V$ with $|D| \geq 2$, a $D$-path is a path that includes all vertices in $D$. A collection of such paths is internally disjoint if they intersect only at the vertices of $D$ and share no edges. The maximum number of internally disjoint $D$-paths in $G$ is denoted $π_G(D)$, and the $k$-path-connectivity is defined as $π_k(G) = \min \{ π_G(D) \mid D \subseteq V(G),\ |D| = k\}$. In this paper, we investigate the 3-path-connectivity of the augmented cube $AQ_n$, a variant of the hypercube known for its enhanced symmetry and fault-tolerant structure. We establish the exact value of $π_3(AQ_n)$ and show that: $$ π_3(AQ_n) = \begin{cases} \frac{3n}{2} - 2, & \text{if } n \text{ is even}, \frac{3(n - 1)}{2} - 1, & \text{if } n \text{ is odd}. \end{cases} $$

The Domination and Secure Domination Numbers of Direct Product of Cliques with Paths and Cycles
In this paper, we obtain the exact values of several domination parameters for the direct product of a complete graph with a path or a cycle. Specifically, we determine the domination number, independent domination number, $[1,2]$-domination number, secure domination number, and 2-domination number for this family of graphs. We show that, in these graphs, the independent domination number and the $[1,2]$-domination number coincide with the domination number, while the secure domination number coincides with the 2-domination number. Additionally, as a consequence of our findings, we provide counterexamples to disprove some erroneous results in the literature.

Construction and Conditions for Completely Independent Spanning Trees in Hypercubes and Regular Bipartite Graphs
A set of \( k \) spanning trees in a graph \( G \) is called a set of \textit{completely independent spanning trees (CISTs)} if, for every pair of vertices \( x \) and \( y \), the paths connecting \( x \) and \( y \) across different trees do not share any vertices or edges, except for \( x \) and \( y \) themselves. Hasunuma conjectured that every \(2k\)-connected graph contains exactly \(k\) completely independent spanning trees (CISTs). However, Pétérfalvi disproved this conjecture. When \( k = 2 \), the two CISTs are called a \textit{dual-CIST}. It has been shown that determining whether a graph can have \( k \) CISTs is an NP-complete problem, even when \( k = 2 \). In $2017$, Darties et al. raised the question of whether the $6-$dimensional hypercube \( Q_6 \) can have three completely independent spanning trees (CISTs). This paper provides an answer to that question. In this paper, we first present a necessary condition for \( k \)-regular, \( k \)-connected bipartite graphs to have \( \left\lfloor \frac{k}{2} \right\rfloor \) CISTs. We also investigate that the hypercube of dimension \( n \) cannot have \( \frac{n}{2} \) CISTs, which means Hasunuma's conjecture does not hold for the hypercube \( Q_n \) when \( n \) is an even integer \(2 < n \leq 10^7 \), except when \(n = 2^r\) and \( n \in \{161038, 215326, 2568226, 3020626, 7866046, 9115426 \} \). This result also resolves a question posed by Darties et al. The construction of multiple CISTs on the underlying graph of a network has practical applications in ensuring the fault tolerance of data transmission. In this context, we also provide a construction for three completely independent spanning trees in the hypercube \(Q_n\) for \(n \geq 7\). Our results show that Hasunuma's conjecture holds for odd integer \(n = 7\) in \(Q_n\), but does not hold for even integer \(n = 6\).

Pendant 3-tree Connectivity of Augmented Cubes
Published • View PublicationBIB
The Steiner tree problem in graphs has applications in network design or circuit layout. Given a set $S$ of vertices, $|S| \geq 2,$ a tree connecting all vertices of $S$ is called an $S$-Steiner tree (tree connecting $S$). The reliability of a network $G$ to connect any $S$ vertices ($|S|$ number of vertices) in $G$ can be measure by this parameter. For an $S$-Steiner tree, if the degree of each vertex in $S$ is equal to one, then that tree is called a pendant S-Steiner tree. Two pendant $S$-Steiner trees $T$ and $T'$ are said to be internally disjoint if $E(T) \cap E(T') = \emptyset$ and $V(T) \cap V(T') = S.$ The local pendant tree-connectivity $τ_{G}(S)$ is the maximum number of internally disjoint pendant $S$-Steiner trees in $G.$ For an integer $k$ with $2 \leq k \leq n,$ the pendant k-tree-connectivity is defined as $τ_{k}(G) = min\{ τ_{G}(S) : S \subseteq V(G), |S| = k\}.$ In this paper, we study the pendant $3$-tree connectivity of Augmented cubes which are modifications of hypercubes invented to increase the connectivity and decrease the diameter hence superior to hypercubes. We show that $τ_3(AQ_n) = 2n-3.$ , which attains the upper bound of $τ_3(G)$ given by Hager, for $G = AQ_n$.

on removal of perfect matching from folded hypercubes
The hypercube Qn of dimension n is one of the most versatile and powerful interconnection networks. The n-dimensional folded cube denoted as FQn, a variation of the hypercube possesses some embeddable properties that the hypercube does not possess. Dong and Wang(In Theor. Comput. Sci.771(2019)93-98) conjectured that "A subset Em of edges of FQn is a perfect matching if and only if FQn - Em is isomorphic to Qn". In this paper, we disprove this conjecture by providing some perfect matchings removal of which from FQn do not give a graph isomorphic to Qn.

An Any graph obtained by deleting a Hamming code of length n from a n-cube Qn is called as a Hamming shell. It is well known that a Hamming shell is vertex-transitive, edge-transitive, distance preserving. Moreover, it is Hamiltonian and connected. In this paper, we prove that a Hamming shell is edge-bipancyclic and (n-1)-connected.

Let T1, T2,.... Tk be spanning trees in a graph G. If for any pair of vertices u and v of G, the paths between u and v in every Ti( 0 < i < k+1) do not contain common edges then T1, T2,.... Tk are called edge-disjoint spanning trees in G. The design of multiple edge-disjoint spanning trees has applications to the reliable communication protocols. The n-dimensional augmented cube, denoted as AQn, a variation of the hypercube, possesses some properties superior to those of the hypercube. For AQn (n > 2), construction of n-1 edge-disjoint spanning trees is given the result is optimal with respect to the number of edge-disjoint spanning trees.

Construction of Four Completely Independent Spanning Trees on Augmented Cubes
Let T1, T2,..., Tk be spanning trees in a graph G. If for any pair of vertices {u, v} of G, the paths between u and v in every Ti( 0 < i < k+1) do not contain common edges and common vertices, except the vertices u and v, then T1, T2,..., Tk are called completely independent spanning trees in G. The n-dimensional augmented cube, denoted as AQn, a variation of the hypercube possesses several embeddable properties that the hypercube and its variations do not possess. For AQn (n > 5), construction of 4 completely independent spanning trees of which two trees with diameters 2n - 5 and two trees with diameters 2n - 3 are given.
