A lemma on a finite union-closed family of finite sets and its applications
Suppose that $\mathscr{F}$ is a finite union-closed family of sets with $\cup_{A\in \mathscr{F}}A=\{1,2,\ldots,m\}$ and $m\geq 2$. Fix $i\in \{1,2,\ldots,m\}$ and denote $\mathscr{G}:=\{A\backslash \{i\}: A\in \mathscr{F}\}$. For $j\in \{1,2,\ldots,m\}\backslash\{i\}$, let $\mathscr{G}_j:=\{A\in\mathscr{G}: j\in A\}$ and $\mathscr{F}_j:=\{A\in\mathscr{F}: j\in A\}$. In this note, we will prove a lemma which says that if $\frac{|\mathscr{G}_j|}{|\mathscr{G}|}\geq c\,(c\in (0,1])$, then $\frac{|\mathscr{F}_j|}{|\mathscr{F}|}\geq \frac{1}{1+2(1-c)/c}$. Several applications of this lemma will be given.
Some explorations on two conjectures about Rademacher sequences

In this paper, we explore two conjectures about Rademacher sequences. Let $(ε_i)$ be a Rademacher sequence, i.e., a sequence of independent $\{-1,1\}$-valued symmetric random variables. Set $S_n=a_1ε_1+\cdots+a_nε_n$ for $a=(a_1,\dots,a_n)\in \mathbb{R}^n$. The first conjecture says that $P\ (\ |S_n\ |\leq \|a\|\ )\geq\frac{1}{2}$ for all $a\in \mathbb{R}^n$ and $n\in \mathbb{N}$. The second conjecture says that $P\ (\ |S_n\ |\geq\|a\|\ )\geq \frac{7}{32}$ for all $a\in \mathbb{R}^n$ and $n\in \mathbb{N}$. Regarding the first conjecture, we present several new equivalent formulations. These include a topological view, a combinatorial version and a strengthened version of the conjecture. Regarding the second conjecture, we prove that it holds true when $n\leq 7$.
The 6-element case of S-Frankl conjecture (I)
The union-closed sets conjecture (Frankl's conjecture) says that for any finite union-closed family of finite sets, other than the family consisting only of the empty set, there exists an element that belongs to at least half of the sets in the family. In [3], a stronger version of Frankl's conjecture (S-Frankl conjecture for short) was introduced and a partial proof was given. In particular, it was proved in \cite{CH17} that S-Frankl conjecture holds when $n\leq 5$, where $n$ is the number of all the elements in the family of sets. Now, we want to prove that it holds when $n=6$. Since the paper is very long, we split it into two parts. This is the first part.
Two Stronger Versions of the Union-closed Sets Conjecture
The union-closed sets conjecture (Frankl's conjecture) says that for any finite union-closed family of finite sets, other than the family consisting only of the empty set, there exists an element that belongs to at least half of the sets in the family. In this paper, we introduce two stronger versions of Frankl's
conjecture and give a partial proof. Three related questions are introduced.
On variants of conflict-free-coloring for hypergraphs

Conflict-free coloring is a kind of vertex coloring of hypergraphs requiring each hyperedge to have a color which appears only on one vertex. More generally, for a positive integer $k$ there are $k$-conflict-free colorings ($k$-CF-colorings for short) and $k$-strong-conflict-free colorings ($k$-SCF-colorings for short). %for some positive integer $k$. Let $H_n$ be the hypergraph of which the vertex-set is $V_n=\{1,2,\dots,n\}$ and the hyperedge-set $\cal{E}_n$ is the set of all (non-empty) subsets of $V_n$ consisting of consecutive elements of $V_n$. Firstly, we study the $k$-SCF-coloring of $H_n$, give the exact $k$-SCF-coloring chromatic number of $H_n$ for $k=2,3$, and present upper and lower bounds of the $k$-SCF-coloring chromatic number of $H_n$ for all $k$. Secondly, we give the exact $k$-CF-coloring chromatic number of $H_n$ for all $k$.
