Near optimal three-fold additive energy bound for points on convex curves
Let $X\subset\mathbb{R}$ be finite and let $γ(t)=(t,f(t))$, where $f$ is strictly convex. We show that \[
J_3(γ(X))
=\#\{(x_1,\ldots,x_6)\in X^6:\sum_{i=1}^3γ(x_i)=\sum_{i=4}^6γ(x_i)\}
\ll_{\varepsilon}|X|^{3+\varepsilon}. \] As applications, we prove that $|A-A|\gg_{\varepsilon}|A|^{5/3-\varepsilon}$ and $|A+A|\gg_{\varepsilon}|A|^{8/5-\varepsilon}$ for any convex sequence $A\subset \mathbb{R}$.
New discretised polynomial expander and incidence estimates
We present two applications of recent developments in incidence geometry. One is a $δ$-discretised version of a particular `Elekes--Rónyai' expander problem. The second application is an incidence estimate addressing the scenario when both tubes, squares and their shadings satisfy non-concentration assumptions.
Incidence estimates for quasi-product sets and applications
We use recent advances in the theory of Furstenberg sets to prove new incidence results of Szemerédi--Trotter strength for $δ$-discretized structures with Cartesian product flavor. We use these results to make progress on a number of problems that include energy estimates and Fourier decay of fractal measures supported on curves, as well as various sum-product-like results governed by fractal dimension.
On the $N$-set occupancy problem
We explore variants of the following open question: Split $[0,1]^2$ into $N^2$ squares with side length $1/N$. Is there a way to select $N$ such squares such that each line intersects only $O(1)$ of them?
The proof of the $l^2$ Decoupling Conjecture

We prove the $l^2$ Decoupling Conjecture for compact hypersurfaces with positive definite second fundamental form and also for the cone. This has a wide range of important consequences. One of them is the validity of the Discrete Restriction Conjecture, which (up to $N^ε$ losses) implies the full range of expected $L^p_{x,t}$ Strichartz estimates for both classical and irrational tori. Another one is an improvement in the range for the discrete restriction theory for lattice points on the sphere. Various applications in Additive Combinatorics, Incidence Geometry and Number Theory are also discussed. Our argument relies on the interplay between linear and multilinear restriction theory.
Incidence theory and restriction estimates
We investigate the interplay between the discrete restriction phenomenon and incidence theory. Two angles are explored. One is a refinement of the machinery developed by Thomas Wolff, which when combined with a recent subcritical estimate of Bourgain leads to new Strichartz estimates for irrational tori. The other one connects various additive energies with the Szemerédi-Trotter Theorem. The combination of the two approaches recovers the best known Strichartz estimates for the classical torus in dimensions $n\ge 3$, without any appeal to number theory.
Multilinear singular operators with fractional rank

We prove bounds for multilinear operators on $\R^d$ given by multipliers which are singular along a $k$ dimensional subspace. The new case of interest is when the rank $k/d$ is not an integer. Connections with the concept of {\em true complexity} from Additive Combinatorics are also investigated.
