Near diagonal additive energy bound for points on algebraic surfaces
Let $F:\mathbb{R}^3\to\mathbb{R}$ be a polynomial that is irreducible over $\mathbb{R}$ with $\text{deg}(F)\geq2$. We prove that, for any finite $X\subset Z(F)$ that does not concentrate on affine lines, \[
E(X)=\#\{(a,b,c,d)\in X^4: a+b=c+d\}\ll_{\text{deg}(F),\,ε}(\# X)^{2+ε}. \]
Near optimal three-fold additive energy bound for points on convex curves
Let $X\subset\mathbb{R}$ be finite and let $γ(t)=(t,f(t))$, where $f$ is strictly convex. We show that \[
J_3(γ(X))
=\#\{(x_1,\ldots,x_6)\in X^6:\sum_{i=1}^3γ(x_i)=\sum_{i=4}^6γ(x_i)\}
\ll_{\varepsilon}|X|^{3+\varepsilon}. \] As applications, we prove that $|A-A|\gg_{\varepsilon}|A|^{5/3-\varepsilon}$ and $|A+A|\gg_{\varepsilon}|A|^{8/5-\varepsilon}$ for any convex sequence $A\subset \mathbb{R}$.
Two-ends Furstenberg inequality for transversal families and applications to Fourier decay
We generalise the recent two-ends Furstenberg inequality due to Wang and the second author from lines to a family of transversal curves, and give a much simplified proof. As an application, we present a result pertaining to the Fourier decay of fractal measures on convex curves.
Two-ends Furstenberg estimates in the plane
We prove two-ends Furstenberg estimates in the plane for a Katz-Tao $(δ,t)$-set of lines, for general $t\in[0,2]$.
Restriction estimates using decoupling theorems and two-ends Furstenberg inequalities
We propose to study the restriction conjecture using decoupling theorems and two-ends Furstenberg inequalities. Specifically, we pose a two-ends Furstenberg conjecture, which implies the restriction conjecture. As evidence, we prove this conjecture in the plane by using the Furstenberg set estimate. Moreover, we use this planar result to prove a restriction estimate for $p>22/7$ in three dimensions, which implies Wolff's $5/2$-hairbrush bound for Kakeya sets in $\mathbb{R}^3$. Our approach also makes improvements for the restriction conjecture in higher dimensions.
A study guide for "On the Hausdorff dimension of Furstenberg sets and orthogonal projections in the plane" after T. Orponen and P. Shmerkin
This article is a study guide for ``On the Hausdorff dimension of Furstenberg sets and orthogonal projections in the plane" by Orponen and Shmerkin. We begin by introducing Furstenberg set problem and exceptional set of projections and provide a summary of the proof with the core ideas.

Given $A$ a set of $N$ positive integers, an old question in additive combinatorics asks that whether $A$ contains a sum-free subset of size at least $N/3+ω(N)$ for some increasing unbounded function $ω$. The question is generally attacked in the literature by considering another conjecture, which asserts that as $N\to\infty$, $\max_{x\in\mathbb{R}/\mathbb{Z}}\sum_{n\in A}({\bf 1}_{(1/3,2/3)}-1/3)(nx)\to\infty$. This conjecture, if true, would also imply that a similar phenomenon occurs for $(2k,4k)$-sum-free sets for every $k\geq1$. In this note, we prove the latter result directly. The new ingredient of our proof is a structural analysis on the host set $A$, which might be of independent interest.
The largest $(k, \ell)$-sum-free subsets

Let $\mathscr{M}_{(2,1)}(N)$ be the infimum of the largest sum-free subset of any set of $N$ positive integers. An old conjecture in additive combinatorics asserts that there is a constant $c=c(2,1)$ and a function $ω(N)\to\infty$ as $N\to\infty$, such that $cN+ω(N)<\mathscr{M}_{(2,1)}(N)<(c+o(1))N$. The constant $c(2,1)$ is determined by Eberhard, Green, and Manners, while the existence of $ω(N)$ is still wide open.
In this paper, we study the analogous conjecture on $(k,\ell)$-sum-free sets and restricted $(k,\ell)$-sum-free sets. We determine the constant $c(k,\ell)$ for every $(k,\ell)$-sum-free sets, and confirm the conjecture for infinitely many $(k,\ell)$.
