The Tutte polynomial determines the linear coefficient of the Ehrhart polynomial
We prove a formula for the linear coefficient of the Ehrhart polynomial in terms of the Tutte polynomial. Furthermore, we characterize the matroids that extremize this Ehrhart coefficient, proving a conjecture of Ferroni.

Graph theoretic properties of Speyer's matroid polynomial $g_M(t)$
We prove relations between the number of $k$-connected components of a graph, Crapo's invariant $β(M)$ of a matroid, and Speyer's polynomial $g_M(t)$. These yield a simple interpretation of $g_M'(-1)$ when $M$ is graphic or cographic. Furthermore, we improve Ferroni's algorithm to compute $g_M(t)$ and provide an implementation and an extensive data set. These calculations reveal a large number of graph theoretic constraints on the second derivative $g_M''(-1)$, which we thus advertise as an intriguing new invariant of graphs. We also propose a relation between the flow polynomial and $g_M''(0)$ for cubic graphs.

Feynman symmetries of the Martin and $c_2$ invariants of regular graphs

For every regular graph, we define a sequence of integers, using the recursion of the Martin polynomial. This sequence counts spanning tree partitions and constitutes the diagonal coefficients of powers of the Kirchhoff polynomial. We prove that this sequence respects all known symmetries of Feynman period integrals in quantum field theory. We show that other quantities with this property, the $c_2$ invariant and the extended graph permanent, are essentially determined by our new sequence. This proves the completion conjecture for the $c_2$ invariant at all primes, and also that it is fixed under twists. We conjecture that our invariant is perfect: Two Feynman periods are equal, if and only if, their Martin sequences are equal.

We study a rational matroid invariant, obtained as the tropicalization of the Feynman period integral. It equals the volume of the polar of the matroid polytope and we give efficient formulas for its computation. This invariant is proven to respect all known identities of Feynman integrals for graphs. We observe a strong correlation between the tropical and transcendental integrals, which yields a method to approximate unknown Feynman periods.
