A combinatorial formula for Interpolation Macdonald polynomials
In 1996, Knop and Sahi introduced a remarkable family of inhomogeneous symmetric polynomials, defined via vanishing conditions, whose top homogeneous parts are exactly the Macdonald polynomials. Like the Macdonald polynomials, these interpolation Macdonald polynomials are closely connected to the Hecke algebra, and admit nonsymmetric versions, which generalize the nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials. In this paper we give a combinatorial formula for interpolation Macdonald polynomials in terms of signed multiline queues; this formula generalizes the combinatorial formula for Macdonald polynomials in terms of multiline queues given by Corteel-Mandelshtam-Williams.
A formula for the Jack super nabla operator
We study a Jack analog $\nabla(\mathbf{p},\mathbf{q})$ of the super nabla operator recently introduced by Bergeron, Haglund, Iraci and Romero for Macdonald polynomials. We prove that $\nabla(\mathbf{p},\mathbf{q})$ has a differential expression in the power-sum basis given in terms of Chapuy--Dołe\k{}ga and Nazarov--Sklyanin operators.
This result is obtained from a more general formula for the operator $G(\mathbf{p},\mathbf{q})$ encoding the structure coefficients of Jack characters, from which $\nabla(\mathbf{p},\mathbf{q})$ is obtained by taking the top homogeneous part.
A key step of the proof involves establishing that Chapuy--Dołe\k{}ga operators together with a dehomogenized version of Nazarov--Sklyanin operators have a Heisenberg algebra structure. The proof also uses a characterization of the operator $G(\mathbf{p},\mathbf{q})$ with a family of differential equations, recently established by the author.
Path operators and $(q,t)$-tau functions
We construct a new class of operators that act on symmetric functions with two deformation parameters $q$ and $t$. Our combinatorial construction associates each operator with a specific lattice path, whose steps alternate between moving up and down. We demonstrate that positive linear combinations of these operators are the images of Negut elements via a representation of the shuffle algebra acting on the space of symmetric functions. Additionally, we provide a monomial, elementary, and Schur symmetric function expansion for the symmetric function obtained through repeated applications of the path operators on $1$.
We apply path operators to investigate a $(q,t)$-deformation of the classical hypergeometric tau functions, which generalizes several important series already present in enumerative geometry, gauge theory, and integrability. We prove that this function is uniquely characterized by a family of partial differential equations derived from a positive linear combination of path operators. We also use our operators to offer a new, independent proof of the key result in establishing the extended delta conjecture of Haglund, Remmel, and Wilson.
Macdonald characters from a new formula for Macdonald polynomials
We introduce a new operator $Γ$ on symmetric functions, which enables us to obtain a creation formula for Macdonald polynomials. This formula provides a connection between the theory of Macdonald operators initiated by Bergeron, Garsia, Haiman and Tesler, and shifted Macdonald polynomials introduced by Knop, Lassalle, Okounkov and Sahi.
We use this formula to introduce a two-parameter generalization of Jack characters, which we call Macdonald characters. Finally, we provide a change of variables in order to formulate several positivity conjectures related to these generalized characters. Our conjectures extend some important open problems on Jack polynomials, including some famous conjectures of Goulden and Jackson.
Differential equations for the series of hypermaps with control on their full degree profile
We consider the generating series of oriented and non-oriented hypermaps with controlled degrees of vertices, hyperedges and faces. It is well known that these series have natural expansions in terms of Schur and Zonal symmetric functions, and with some particular specializations, they satisfy the celebrated KP and BKP equations.
We prove that the full generating series of hypermaps satisfy a family of differential equations. We give a first proof which works for an $α$ deformation of these series related to Jack polynomials. This proof is based on a recent construction formula for Jack characters using differential operators. We also provide a combinatorial proof for the orientable case.
Our approach also applies to the series of $k$-constellations with control of the degrees of vertices of all colors. In other words, we obtain an equation for the generating function of Hurwitz numbers (and their $α$-deformations) with control of full ramification profiles above an arbitrary number of points. Such equations are new even in the orientable case.
A note on the map expansion of Jack polynomials
In a recent work, Maciej Dołe\k{}ga and the author have given a formula of the expansion of the Jack polynomial $J^{(α)}_λ$ in the power-sum basis as a non-orientability generating series of bipartite maps whose edges are decorated with the boxes of the partition $λ$.
We conjecture here a variant of this expansion in which we restrict the sum on maps whose edges are injectively decorated by the boxes of $λ$. We prove this conjecture for Jack polynomials indexed by 2-column partitions. The proof uses a mix of combinatorial methods and differential operator computations.
Positive formula for Jack polynomials, Jack characters and proof of Lassalle's conjecture
We give an explicit formula for the power-sum expansion of Jack polynomials. We deduce it from a more general formula, which we provide here, that interprets Jack characters in terms of bipartite maps. We prove Lassalle's conjecture from 2008 on integrality and positivity of Jack characters in Stanley's coordinates and give a new formula for Jack polynomials using creation operators.

Using Jack polynomials, Goulden and Jackson have introduced a one parameter deformation $τ_b$ of the generating series of bipartite maps, which generalizes the partition function of $β$-ensembles of random matrices. The Matching-Jack conjecture suggests that the coefficients $c^λ_{μ,ν}$ of the function $τ_b$ in the power-sum basis are non-negative integer polynomials in the deformation parameter $b$. Dołęga and Féray have proved in 2016 the "polynomiality" part in the Matching-Jack conjecture, namely that coefficients $c^λ_{μ,ν}$ are in $\mathbb{Q}[b]$. In this paper, we prove the "integrality" part, i.e that the coefficients $c^λ_{μ,ν}$ are in $\mathbb{Z}[b]$.
The proof is based on a recent work of the author that deduces the Matching-Jack conjecture for marginal sums from an analog result for the $b$-conjecture, established in 2020 by Chapuy and Dołęga. A key step in the proof involves a new connection with the graded Farahat-Higman algebra.

Using the description of hypermaps with matchings, Goulden and Jackson have given an expression of the generating series of rooted bipartite maps in terms of the zonal polynomials. We generalize this approach to the case of constellations on non-oriented surfaces that have recently been introduced by Chapuy and Dołęga. A key step in the proof is an encoding of constellations with tuples of matchings.
We consider a one parameter deformation of the generating series of constellations using Jack polynomials and we introduce the coefficients $c^λ_{μ^0,...,μ^k}(b)$ obtained by the expansion of these functions in the power-sum basis. These coefficients are indexed by $k+2$ integer partitions and the deformation parameter $b$, and can be considered as a generalization for $k\geq1$ of the connection coefficients introduced by Goulden and Jackson. We prove that when we take some marginal sums, these coefficients enumerate $b$-weighted $k$-tuples of matchings. This can be seen as an "unrooted" version of a recent result of Chapuy and Dołęga for constellations. For $k=1$, this gives a partial answer to Goulden and Jackson Matching-Jack conjecture.
Lassale has formulated a positivity conjecture for the coefficients $θ^{(α)}_μ(λ)$, defined as the coefficient of the Jack polynomial $J_λ^{(α)}$ in the power-sum basis. We use the second main result of this paper to give a proof of this conjecture in the case of partitions $λ$ with rectangular shape.
