Signed Total Roman Domination and Domatic Numbers: Degree Three and Complete Multipartite Graphs
Signed total Roman domination is a variant of the classic Roman domination-problem in graphs. A signed total Roman dominating function (STRD function) on a graph $G=(V,E)$ is a function $f: V \to \{-1,1,2\}$ such that (i) $\sum_{u \in N(v)} f(u) \geq 1$ for all $v \in V$, where $N(v)$ denotes the neighborhood of $v$, and (ii) every vertex $v$ with $f(v) = -1$ is adjacent to a vertex $u$ with $f(u) = 2$. The weight of $f$ is $\sum_{v \in V} f(v)$. The signed total Roman domination number of $G$ is the minimum weight among all its STRD functions. A signed total Roman dominating family (STRD family) on $G$ is a family $\{f_1, \ldots, f_d\}$ of pairwise distinct STRD functions such that $\sum_{i=1}^{d} f_i(v) \leq 1$ for all $v \in V$. The signed total Roman domatic number of $G$ is the maximum size among all its STRD families. In this paper, we relate the signed total Roman domination number of a cubic graph to its open packing number, 2-tuple total domination number, and signed total domination number, allowing us to derive sharp bounds on the first invariant and to establish new $\mathcal{NP}$-completeness results for all four invariants. We demonstrate that having a degree-3 vertex determines a graph's signed total Roman domatic number. Combined with known results this implies that the associated decision problem is easy for graphs with maximum degree at most three and $\mathcal{NP}$-complete otherwise. To contrast these general hardness results, we determine signed total Roman domination and domatic numbers in complete multipartite graphs. Despite their simple structure, this is a non-trivial task.

A Characterization of $P_6$-Free Irredundance Perfect Graphs
Let $ir(G)$ and $γ(G)$ be the irredundance number and the domination number of a graph G, respectively. A graph G is called irredundance perfect if ir(H) = $γ(H)$ for every induced subgraph $H$ of $G$. The subclass of $P_6$-free irredundance perfect graphs has been studied extensively. In this paper, we present a characterization of this graph class in terms of eleven forbidden induced subgraphs.

On the total Italian domination number in digraphs
Consider a finite simple digraph $D$ with vertex set $V(D)$. An Italian dominating function (IDF) on $D$ is a function $f:V(D)\rightarrow\{0,1,2\}$ satisfying every vertex $u$ with $f(u)=0$ has an in-neighbor $v$ with $f(v)=2$ or two in-neighbors $w$ and $z$ with $f(w)=f(z)=1$. A total Italian dominating function (TIDF) on $D$ is an IDF $f$ such that the subdigraph $D[\{ u\, |\, f(u)\ge 1\}]$ contains no isolated vertices. The weight $ω(f)$ of a TIDF $f$ on $D$ is $\sum_{u\in V(D)}f(u)$. The total Italian domination number of $D$ is $γ_{tI}(D)=\min\{ ω(f)\, |\, \mbox{$f$ is a TIDF on $D$}\}$. In this paper, we present bounds on $γ_{tI}(D)$, and investigate the relationship between several different domination parameters. In particular, we give the total Italian domination number of the Cartesian products $P_2\Box P_n$ and $P_3\Box P_n$, where $P_n$ represents a dipath with $n$ vertices.

Restrained double Roman domination of a graph
Published • View PublicationBIB
For a graph G=(V,E), a restrained double Roman dominating function is a function f:V\rightarrow\{0,1,2,3\} having the property that if f(v)=0, then the vertex v must have at least two neighbors assigned 2 under f or one neighbor w with f(w)=3, and if f(v)=1, then the vertex v must have at least one neighbor w with f(w)\geq2, and at the same time, the subgraph G[V_0] which includes vertices with zero labels has no isolated vertex. The weight of a restrained double Roman dominating function f is the sum f(V)=\sum_{v\in V}f(v), and the minimum weight of a restrained double Roman dominating function on G is the restrained double Roman domination number of G. We initiate the study of restrained double Roman domination with proving that the problem of computing this parameter is NP-hard. Then we present an upper bound on the restrained double Roman domination number of a connected graph G in terms of the order of G and characterize the graphs attaining this bound. We study the restrained double Roman domination versus the restrained Roman domination. Finally, we characterized all trees T attaining the exhibited bound.

Bounds on the nonnegative signed domination number of graphs
The aim of this work is to investigate the nonnegative signed domination number $γ^{NN}_s$ with emphasis on regular, ($r+1$)-clique-free graphs and trees. We give lower and upper bounds on $γ^{NN}_s$ for regular graphs and prove that $n/3$ is the best possible upper bound on this parameter for a cubic graph of order $n$, specifically. As an application of the classic theorem of Turán we bound $γ^{NN}_s(G)$ from below, for an ($r+1$)-clique-free graph $G$ and characterize all such graphs for which the equality holds, which corrects and generalizes a result for bipartite graphs in [Electron. J. Graph Theory Appl. 4 (2) (2016), 231--237], simultaneously. Also, we bound $γ^{NN}_s(T)$ for a tree $T$ from above and below and characterize all trees attaining the bounds.
Sufficient conditions for graphs to be $k$-connected, maximally connected and super-connected
Published • View PublicationBIB
Let $G$ be a connected graph with minimum degree $δ(G)$ and vertex-connectivity $κ(G)$. The graph $G$ is $k$-connected if $κ(G)\geq k$, maximally connected if $κ(G) = δ(G)$, and super-connected (or super-$κ$) if every minimum vertex-cut isolates a vertex of minimum degree. In this paper, we show that a connected graph or a connected triangle-free graph is $k$-connected, maximally connected or super-connected if the number of edges or the spectral radius is large enough.

Nordhaus-Gaddum type inequalities for multiple domination and packing parameters in graphs
Published in Contributions to Discrete Mathematics, 2020 • View PublicationBIB
We study the Nordhaus-Gaddum type results for $(k-1,k,j)$ and $k$-domination numbers of a graph $G$ and investigate these bounds for the $k$-limited packing and $k$-total limited packing numbers in graphs. As the special case $(k-1,k,j)=(1,2,0)$ we give an upper bound on $dd(G)+dd(\overline{G})$ stronger than that presented by Harary and Haynes (1996). Moreover, we establish upper bounds on the sum and product of packing and open packing numbers and characterize all graphs attaining these bounds.
