On the Structure of Multilinear Invariants of a Finite Unitary Reflection Group
We study the space of multilinear invariants \( V_f \) of degree \( f \) for a specified finite unitary reflection group. A subspace \( W_f \) of typical invariants is also introduced. We note that the dimension of \( W_f \) is given by Catalan number. We explore both spaces for \( f \leq 5 \), noting that their dimensions differ based on the value of \( f \). We explicitly determine the bases for both spaces, and then we establish the relationship between the vectors of the two bases.

Some calculations of centralizer rings of a complex reflection group
Let H1 be the complex reflection group of order 96. For the tensor products of faithful transitive permutation representations of H1, we determine the structures of the centralizer rings. This complements the work of Imamura-Kosuda-Oura.
Neighbors, neighbor graphs and invariant rings in coding theory
In the present paper, we discuss the class of Type III and Type IV codes from the perspectives of neighbors. Our investigation analogously extends the results originally presented by Dougherty [8] concerning the neighbor graph of binary self-dual codes. Moreover, as an application of neighbors in invariant theory, we show that the ring of the weight enumerators of Type II code $d_{n}^{+}$ and its neighbors in arbitrary genus is finitely generated. Finally, we obtain a minimal set of generators of this ring up to the space of degree 24 and genus 3.
Jacobi polynomials, invariant rings, and generalized $t$-designs
In the present paper, we provide results that relate the Jacobi polynomials in genus $g$. We show that if a code is $t$-homogeneous that is, the codewords of the code for every given weight hold a $t$-design, then its Jacobi polynomial in genus $g$ with composition $T$ with $|T|\leq t$ can be obtained from its weight enumerator in genus~$g$ using the polarization operator. Using this fact, we investigate the invariant ring, which relates the homogeneous Jacobi polynomials of the binary codes in genus $g$. Specifically, the generators of the invariant ring appearing for $g=1$ are obtained. Moreover, we define the split Jacobi polynomials in genus~$g$ and obtain the MacWilliams type identity for it. A split generalization for higher genus cases of the relation between the Jacobi polynomials and weight enumerator of a $t$-homogeneous code also given.

Weight Enumerators of codes over $\mathbb{F}_2$ and over $\mathbb{Z}_4$
Published in Interdisciplinary Information Sciences J-STAGE Advance published October 8, 2025 • View PublicationBIB
Weight enumerators are important tools for deciphering the algebraic structure of the related code spaces and for understanding group actions on these spaces. Our study focuses on symmetrized weight enumerators of pairs of Type II codes over the finite field $\mathbb{F}_{2}$ and the ring $\mathbb{Z}_{4}$. These pairs have been examined as invariants for a specified group. In particular, we concentrate on the scenarios where the space of the invariant ring is of degree 8 and 16. Our findings show that in certain situations, the ring produced by the symmetrized weight enumerators precisely matches with the invariant ring of the designated group. This coincidence points to a profound relationship between the invariant ring's structure and the algebraic characteristics of the weight enumerators.
The Tutte polynomials of genus $g$
In the paper [Proceedings of the Japan Academy, Ser. A Mathematical Sciences, 95(10) 111-113], the authors introduce the concept of the Tutte polynomials of genus $g$ and announce that each matroid $M$ can be reconstructed from its Tutte polynomial of genus $|\mathcal{B}(M)|$, where $\mathcal{B}(M)$ denotes the family of bases of $M$. In that paper, we also announced that, for all $g$, there exist inequivalent matroids that have the same Tutte polynomial of genus $g$. In this paper, we prove these theorems.

Note on the Type II codes of length $24$
We express the weight enumerators of self-dual and doubly even (Type II for short) codes of length $24$ with a specified basis. As a consequence, we present some congruence relations among the weight enumerators.
Jacobi polynomials and design theory I

In this paper, we introduce the notion of Jacobi polynomials with multiple reference vectors of a code, and give the MacWilliams type identity for it. Moreover, we derive a formula to obtain the Jacobi polynomials using the Aronhold polarization operator. Finally, we describe some facts obtained from Type III and Type IV codes that interpret the relation between the Jacobi polynomials and designs.
Weight enumerators, intersection enumerators and Jacobi polynomials II

In the present paper, we introduce the concepts of Jacobi polynomials and intersection enumerators of codes over $\mathbb{F}_q$ and $\mathbb{Z}_{k}$ for arbitrary genus $g$. We also discuss the interrelation among them. Finally, we give the MacWilliams type identities for Jacobi polynomials.
Harmonic Tutte polynomials of matroids

In the present paper, we introduce the concept of harmonic Tutte polynomials of matroids and discuss some of their properties. In particular, we generalize Greene's theorem, thereby expressing harmonic weight enumerators of codes as evaluations of harmonic Tutte polynomials.
On the cycle index and the weight enumerator II

In a previous paper, the second and third named author introduced the concept of the complete cycle index and discussed a relation with the complete weight enumerator in coding theory. In the present paper, we introduce the concept of the complete joint cycle index and the average complete joint cycle index, and discuss a relation with the complete joint weight enumerator and the average complete joint weight enumerator respectively in coding theory. Moreover, the notion of the average intersection numbers is given, and we discuss a relation with the average intersection numbers in coding theory.

The complex conjugate invariants of Clifford groups
Published • View PublicationBIB
Nebe, Rains and Sloane studied the polynomial invariants for real and complex Clifford groups and they relate the invariants to the space of complete weight enumerators of certain self-dual codes. The purpose of this paper is to show that very similar results can be obtained for the invariants of the complex Clifford group $\mathcal{X}_m$ acting on the space of conjugate polynomials in $2^m$ variables of degree $N_1$ in $x_f$ and of degree $N_2$ in their complex conjugates $\overline{x_f}$. In particular, we show that the dimension of this space is $2$, for $(N_1,N_2)=(5,5)$. This solves the Conjecture 2 given in Zhu, Kueng, Grassl and Gross affirmatively. In other words if an orbit of the complex Clifford group is a projective $4$-design, then it is automatically a projective $5$-design.

On Eisenstein polynomials and zeta polynomials II
Eisenstein polynomials, which were defined by the second author, are analogues of the concept of an Eisenstein series. The second author conjectured that there exist some analogous properties between Eisenstein series and Eisenstein polynomials. In the previous paper, the first author provided new analogous properties of Eisenstein polynomials and zeta polynomials for the Type II case. In this paper, the analogous properties of Eisenstein polynomials and zeta polynomials are shown to also hold for the Type I, Type III, and Type IV cases. These properties are finite analogies of certain properties of Eisenstein series.
A generalization of the Tutte polynomials
Published • View PublicationBIB
In this paper, we introduce the concept of the Tutte polynomials of genus $g$ and discuss some of its properties. We note that the Tutte polynomials of genus one are well-known Tutte polynomials. The Tutte polynomials are matroid invariants, and we claim that the Tutte polynomials of genus $g$ are also matroid invariants. The main result of this paper and the forthcoming paper declares that the Tutte polynomials of genus $g$ are complete matroid invariants.

Centralizer algebras of the primitive unitary reflection group of order $96$
Published • View PublicationBIB
Among the unitary reflection groups, the one on the title is singled out by its importance in, for example, coding theory and number theory. In this paper we start with describing the irreducible representations of this group and then examine the semi-simple structure of the centralizer algebra in the tensor representation.
