Vertex-transitive Neumaier graphs
A graph $Γ$ is called edge-regular whenever it is regular and for any two adjacent vertices, the number of their common neighbors is independent of the choice of vertices. A clique $C$ in $Γ$ is called regular whenever for any vertex out of $C$, the number of its neighbors in $C$ is independent of the vertex. A Neumaier graph is a non-complete edge-regular graph with a regular clique. In this paper, we study vertex-transitive Neumaier graphs. We give a necessary and sufficient condition under which a vertex-transitive Neumaier graph is strongly regular. We also identify Neumaier Cayley graphs with small valency at most $10$ among vertex-transitive Neumaier graphs.

On $Q$-polynomial distance-regular graphs with a linear dependency involving a $3$-clique
Published in This paper has been published in Journal of Algebraic Combinatorics volume 61, article number 31, (2025) • Search Publication
Let $Γ$ denote a distance-regular graph with diameter $D \geq 2$. Let $E$ denote a primitive idempotent of $Γ$ with respect to which $Γ$ is $Q$-polynomial. Assume that there exists a $3$-clique $\{x,y,z\}$ such that $E\hat{x},E\hat{y},E\hat{z}$ are linearly dependent. In this paper, we classify all the $Q$-polynomial distance-regular graphs $Γ$ with the above property. We describe these graphs from multiple points of view.

Neumaier Cayley graphs
A Neumaier graph is a non-complete edge-regular graph with the property that it has a regular clique. In this paper, we study Neumaier Cayley graphs. We give a necessary and sufficient condition under which a Neumaier Cayley graph is a strongly regular Neumaier Cayley graph. We also characterize Neumaier Cayley graphs with small valency at most $10$.

Self-complementary distance-regular Cayley graphs over abelian groups
In this paper, we study self-complementary distance-regular Cayley graphs over abelian groups. We prove that if a regular graph is self-complementary distance-regular, then it is self-complementary strongly regular. We also deal with self-complementary strongly regular Cayley graphs over abelian groups and give an example of a self-complementary strongly regular Cayley graph over a non-elementary abelian group.

Distance-regular graphs admitting a perfect $1$-code
In this paper, we study the problem that which of distance-regular graphs admit a perfect $1$-code. Among other results, we characterize distance-regular line graphs which admit a perfect $1$-code. Moreover, we characterize all known distance-regular graphs with small valency at most $4$, the distance-regular graphs with known putative intersection arrays for valency $5$, and all distance-regular graphs with girth $3$ and valency $6$ or $7$ which admit a perfect $1$-code.

On bipartite distance-regular Cayley graphs with small diameter
Published • View PublicationBIB
We study bipartite distance-regular Cayley graphs with diameter three or four. We give sufficient conditions under which a bipartite Cayley graph can be constructed on the semidirect product of a group -- the part of this bipartite Cayley graph which contains the identity element -- and $\mathbb{Z}_{2}$. We apply this to the case of bipartite distance-regular Cayley graphs with diameter three, and consider cases where the sufficient conditions are not satisfied for some specific groups such as the dihedral group. We also extend a result by Miklavič and Potočnik that relates difference sets to bipartite distance-regular Cayley graphs with diameter three to the case of diameter four. This new case involves certain partial geometric difference sets and -- in the antipodal case -- relative difference sets.

On bipartite distance-regular Cayley graphs with diameter $3$
In this paper, we show that every bipartite distance-regular Cayley graph with diameter $3$ can be constructed on the semidirect product of a group and $\mathbb{Z}_{2}$, except possibly for one case.

Distance-regular Cayley graphs with small valency

We consider the problem of which distance-regular graphs with small valency are Cayley graphs. We determine the distance-regular Cayley graphs with valency at most $4$, the Cayley graphs among the distance-regular graphs with known putative intersection arrays for valency $5$, and the Cayley graphs among all distance-regular graphs with girth $3$ and valency $6$ or $7$. We obtain that the incidence graphs of Desarguesian affine planes minus a parallel class of lines are Cayley graphs. We show that the incidence graphs of the known generalized hexagons are not Cayley graphs, and neither are some other distance-regular graphs that come from small generalized quadrangles or hexagons. Among some ``exceptional'' distance-regular graphs with small valency, we find that the Armanios-Wells graph and the Klein graph are Cayley graphs.

Distance-regular Cayley graphs with least eigenvalue $-2$
Published • View PublicationBIB
We classify the distance-regular Cayley graphs with least eigenvalue $-2$ and diameter at most three. Besides sporadic examples, these comprise of the lattice graphs, certain triangular graphs, and line graphs of incidence graphs of certain projective planes. In addition, we classify the possible connection sets for the lattice graphs and obtain some results on the structure of distance-regular Cayley line graphs of incidence graphs of generalized polygons.
Groups all of whose undirected Cayley graphs are determined by their spectra
Published • View PublicationBIB
Let $G$ be a finite group, and $S$ be a subset of $G\setminus\{1\}$ such that $S=S^{-1}$. Suppose that $Cay(G,S)$ is the Cayley graph on $G$ with respect to the set $S$ which is the graph whose vertex set is $G$ and two vertices $a,b\in G$ are adjacent if and only if $ab^{-1}\in S$. The adjacency spectrum $Spec(Γ)$ of a graph $Γ$ is the multiset of eigenvalues of its adjacency matrix. A graph $Γ$ is called "determined by its spectrum" (or for short DS) whenever if a graph $Γ'$ has the same spectrum as $Γ$, then $Γ\cong Γ'$. We say that the group $G$ is DS (Cay-DS, respectively) whenever if $Γ$ is a Cayley graph over $G$ and $Spec(Γ)=Spec(Γ')$ for some graph (Cayley graph, respectively) $Γ'$, then $Γ\cong Γ'$. In this paper, we study finite DS groups and finite Cay-DS groups. In particular we prove that all finite DS groups are solvable and all Sylow $p$-subgroups of a finite DS group is cyclic for all $p\geq 5$. We also give several infinite families of non Cay-DS solvable groups. In particular we prove that there exist two cospectral non-isomorphic $6$-regular Cayley graphs on the dihedral group of order $2p$ for any prime $p\geq 13$.

Groups all of whose undirected Cayley graphs are integral
Published in European Journal of Combinatorics 38 (2014) 102-109 • View PublicationBIB
Let $G$ be a finite group, $S\subseteq G\setminus\{1\}$ be a set such that if $a\in S$, then $a^{-1}\in S$, where $1$ denotes the identity element of $G$. The undirected Cayley graph $Cay(G,S)$ of $G$ over the set $S$ is the graph whose vertex set is $G$ and two vertices $a$ and $b$ are adjacent whenever $ab^{-1}\in S$. The adjacency spectrum of a graph is the multiset of all eigenvalues of the adjacency matrix of the graph. A graph is called integral whenever all adjacency spectrum elements are integers. Following Klotz and Sander, we call a group $G$ Cayley integral whenever all undirected Cayley graphs over $G$ are integral. Finite abelian Cayley integral groups are classified by Klotz and Sander as finite abelian groups of exponent dividing $4$ or $6$. Klotz and Sander have proposed the determination of all non-abelian Cayley integral groups. In this paper we complete the classification of finite Cayley integral groups by proving that finite non-abelian Cayley integral groups are the symmetric group $S_{3}$ of degree $3$, $C_{3} \rtimes C_{4}$ and $Q_{8}\times C_{2}^{n}$ for some integer $n\geq 0$, where $Q_8$ is the quaternion group of order $8$.
