Unified generating function for set partitions
In this work we define a unified generating functions for 9 different kinds of set partitions including cyclically ordered set partitions. Such generating function depends on 4 parameters. We consider property of this function and provide combinatorial explanation for polynomials generated by this function. Two new combinatorial statistics are defined and the explicit formulae given for coefficients of parametrized polynomials defined by the generating function.

Generalized permutations related to the degenerate Eulerian numbers
In this work we propose a combinatorial model that generalizes the standard definition of permutation. Our model generalizes the degenerate Eulerian polynomials and numbers of Carlitz from 1979 and provides missing combinatorial proofs for some relations on the degenerate Eulerian numbers.
Harary polynomials
Published • View PublicationBIB
Given a graph property $\mathcal{P}$, F. Harary introduced in 1985 $\mathcal{P}$-colorings, graph colorings where each colorclass induces a graph in $\mathcal{P}$. Let $χ_{\mathcal{P}}(G;k)$ counts the number of $\mathcal{P}$-colorings of $G$ with at most $k$ colors. It turns out that $χ_{\mathcal{P}}(G;k)$ is a polynomial in $\mathbb{Z}[k]$ for each graph $G$. Graph polynomials of this form are called Harary polynomials. In this paper we investigate properties of Harary polynomials and compare them with properties of the classical chromatic polynomial $χ(G;k)$. We show that the characteristic and Laplacian polynomial, the matching, the independence and the domination polynomial are not Harary polynomials. We show that for various notions of sparse, non-trivial properties $\mathcal{P}$, the polynomial $χ_{\mathcal{P}}(G;k)$ is, in contrast to $χ(G;k)$, not a chromatic, and even not an edge elimination invariant. Finally we study whether Harary polynomials are definable in Monadic Second Order Logic.

Study of the $p,q$-deformed Touchard polynomials
A two-parameter deformation of the Touchard polynomials, based on the NEXT $q$-exponential function of Tsallis, defines two statistics on set partitions. The generating function of classical Touchard polynomials is a composition of two exponential functions. By applying analysis of a combinatorial structure of the deformed exponential function, we establish explicit formulae for both statistics. Moreover, the explicit formulae for the deformed Touchard polynomials makes possible to evaluate coefficients of Taylor series expansion for wide variety of functions with different values of parameters $p$ and $q$.

New degenerated polynomials arising from non-classical Umbral Calculus
We introduce new generalizations of the Bernoulli, Euler, and Genocchi polynomials and numbers based on the Carlitz-Tsallis degenerate exponential function and concepts of the Umbral Calculus associated with it. Also, we present generalizations of some familiar identities and connection between these kinds of Bernoulli, Euler, and Genocchi polynomials. Moreover, we establish a new analogue of the Euler identity for the degenerate Bernoulli numbers.

The best constant in the Khinchine inequality for slightly dependent random variables
We compute the best constant in the Khintchine inequality under assumption that the sum of Rademacher random variables is zero.
