We introduce the shuffle of deformed permutahedra (a.k.a. generalized permutahedra), a simple associative operation obtained as the Cartesian product followed by the Minkowski sum with the graphical zonotope of a complete bipartite graph. Besides preserving the class of graphical zonotopes (the shuffle of two graphical zonotopes is the graphical zonotope of the join of the graphs), this operation is particularly relevant when applied to the classical permutahedra and associahedra. First, the shuffle of an $m$-permutahedron with an $n$-associahedron gives the $(m,n)$-multiplihedron, whose face structure is encoded by $m$-painted $n$-trees, generalizing the classical multiplihedron. We show in particular that the graph of the $(m,n)$-multiplihedron is the Hasse diagram of a lattice generalizing the weak order on permutations and the Tamari lattice on binary trees. Second, the shuffle of an $m$-associahedron with an $n$-associahedron gives the $(m,n)$-constrainahedron, whose face structure is encoded by $(m,n)$-cotrees, and reflects collisions of particles constrained on a grid. Third, the shuffle of an $m$-anti-associahedron with an $n$-associahedron gives the $(m,n)$-biassociahedron, whose face structure is encoded by $(m,n)$-bitrees, with relevant connections to bialgebras up to homotopy. We provide explicit vertex, facet, and Minkowski sum descriptions of these polytopes, as well as summation formulas for their $f$-polynomials based on generating functionology of decorated trees.

We prove that the acyclic reorientation poset of a directed acyclic graph $D$ is a lattice if and only if the transitive reduction of any induced subgraph of $D$ is a forest. We then show that the acyclic reorientation lattice is always congruence normal, semidistributive (thus congruence uniform) if and only if $D$ is filled, and distributive if and only if $D$ is a forest. When the acyclic reorientation lattice is semidistributive, we introduce the ropes of $D$ that encode the join irreducibles acyclic reorientations and exploit this combinatorial model in three directions. First, we describe the canonical join and meet representations of acyclic reorientations in terms of non-crossing rope diagrams. Second, we describe the congruences of the acyclic reorientation lattice in terms of lower ideals of a natural subrope order. Third, we use Minkowski sums of shard polytopes of ropes to construct a quotientope for any congruence of the acyclic reorientation lattice.

We study deformations of graphical zonotopes. Deformations of the classical permutahedron (which is the graphical zonotope of the complete graph) have been intensively studied in recent years under the name of generalized permutahedra. We provide an irredundant description of the deformation cone of the graphical zonotope associated to a graph $G$, consisting of independent equations defining its linear span (in terms of non-cliques of $G$) and of the inequalities defining its facets (in terms of common neighbors of neighbors in $G$). In particular, we deduce that the faces of the standard simplex corresponding to induced cliques in $G$ form a linear basis of the deformation cone, and that the deformation cone is simplicial if and only if $G$ is triangle-free.
The canonical complex of the weak order

We define and study the canonical complex of a finite semidistributive lattice $L$. It is the simplicial complex on the join or meet irreducible elements of $L$ which encodes each interval of $L$ by recording the canonical join representation of its bottom element and the canonical meet representation of its top element. This complex behaves properly with respect to lattice quotients of $L$, in the sense that the canonical complex of a quotient of $L$ is the subcomplex of the canonical complex of $L$ induced by the join or meet irreducibles of $L$ uncontracted in the quotient. We then describe combinatorially the canonical complex of the weak order on permutations in terms of semi-crossing arc bidiagrams, formed by the superimposition of two non-crossing arc diagrams of N. Reading. We provide explicit direct bijections between the semi-crossing arc bidiagrams and the weak order interval posets of G. Châtel, V. Pilaud and V. Pons. Finally, we provide an algorithm to describe the Kreweras maps in any lattice quotient of the weak order in terms of semi-crossing arc bidiagrams.

We give the facet description of the deformation cones of graph associahedra and nestohedra, generalizing the classical parametrization of the family of deformed permutahedra by the cone of submodular functions. When the underlying building set is made of intervals, this leads in particular to the construction of kinematic nestohedra generalizing the kinematic associahedra that recently appeared in the theory of scattering amplitudes.

Generalizing stack sorting and $c$-sorting for permutations, we define the permutree sorting algorithm. Given two disjoint subsets $U$ and $D$ of $\{2, \dots, n-1\}$, the $(U,D)$-permutree sorting tries to sort the permutation $π\in \mathfrak{S}_n$ and fails if and only if there are $1 \le i < j < k \le n$ such that $π$ contains the subword $jki$ if $j \in U$ and $kij$ if $j \in D$. This algorithm is seen as a way to explore an automaton which either rejects all reduced expressions of $π$, or accepts those reduced expressions for $π$ whose prefixes are all $(U,D)$-permutree sortable.

For any lattice congruence of the weak order on permutations, N. Reading proved that gluing together the cones of the braid fan that belong to the same congruence class defines a complete fan, called a quotient fan, and V. Pilaud and F. Santos showed that it is the normal fan of a polytope, called a quotientope. In this paper, we provide a simpler approach to realize quotient fans based on Minkowski sums of elementary polytopes, called shard polytopes, which have remarkable combinatorial and geometric properties. In contrast to the original construction of quotientopes, this Minkowski sum approach extends to type $B$.

The associahedron is classically constructed as a removahedron, i.e. by deleting inequalities in the facet description of the permutahedron. This removahedral construction extends to all permutreehedra (which interpolate between the permutahedron, the associahedron and the cube). Here, we investigate removahedra constructions for all quotientopes (which realize the lattice quotients of the weak order). On the one hand, we observe that the permutree fans are the only quotient fans realized by a removahedron. On the other hand, we show that any permutree fan can be realized by a removahedron constructed from any realization of the braid fan. Our results finally lead to a complete description of the type cone of the permutree fans.
The facial weak order on hyperplane arrangements

We extend the facial weak order from finite Coxeter groups to central hyperplane arrangements. The facial weak order extends the poset of regions of a hyperplane arrangement to all its faces. We provide four non-trivially equivalent definitions of the facial weak order of a central arrangement: (1) by exploiting the fact that the faces are intervals in the poset of regions, (2) by describing its cover relations, (3) using covectors of the corresponding oriented matroid, and (4) using certain sets of normal vectors closely related to the geometry of the corresponding zonotope. Using these equivalent descriptions, we show that when the poset of regions is a lattice, the facial weak order is a lattice. In the case of simplicial arrangements, we further show that this lattice is semidistributive and give a description of its join-irreducible elements. Finally, we determine the homotopy type of all intervals in the facial weak order.

We show that the mesh mutations are the minimal relations among the $\boldsymbol{g}$-vectors with respect to any initial seed in any finite type cluster algebra. We then use this algebraic result to derive geometric properties of the $\boldsymbol{g}$-vector fan: we show that the space of all its polytopal realizations is a simplicial cone, and we then observe that this property implies that all its realizations can be described as the intersection of a high dimensional positive orthant with well-chosen affine spaces. This sheds a new light on and extends earlier results of N. Arkani-Hamed, Y. Bai, S. He, and G. Yan in type $A$ and of V. Bazier-Matte, G. Douville, K. Mousavand, H. Thomas and E. Yildirim for acyclic initial seeds.
Moreover, we use a similar approach to study the space of polytopal realizations of the $\boldsymbol{g}$-vector fans of another generalization of the associahedron: non-kissing complexes (a.k.a. support $τ$-tilting complexes) of gentle algebras. We show that the space of realizations of the non-kissing fan is simplicial when the gentle bound quiver is brick and $2$-acyclic, and we describe in this case its facet-defining inequalities in terms of mesh mutations.
Along the way, we prove algebraic results on $2$-Calabi-Yau triangulated categories, and on extriangulated categories that are of independent interest. In particular, we prove, in those two setups, an analogue of a result of M. Auslander on minimal relations for Grothendieck groups of module categories.
Signaletic operads
We introduce $k$-signaletic operads and their Koszul duals, generalizing the dendriform, diassociative and duplicial operads (which correspond to the $k=1$ case). We show that the Koszul duals of the $k$-signaletic operads act on multipermutations and that the resulting algebras are free, thus providing combinatorial models for these operads. Finally, motivated by these actions on multipermutations, we introduce similar operations on multiposets which yield yet another relevant operad obtained as Manin powers of the $L$-operad.

This paper develops a Cambrian extension of the work of C. Ceballos, A. Padrol and C. Sarmiento on $ν$-Tamari lattices and their tropical realizations. For any signature $\varepsilon \in \{\pm\}^n$, we consider a family of $\varepsilon$-trees in bijection with the triangulations of the $\varepsilon$-polygon. These $\varepsilon$-trees define a flag regular triangulation $\mathcal{T}^\varepsilon$ of the subpolytope $\operatorname{conv} \{(\mathbf{e}_{i_\bullet}, \mathbf{e}_{j_\circ}) \, | \, 0 \le i_\bullet < j_\circ \le n+1 \}$ of the product of simplices $\triangle_{\{0_\bullet, \dots, n_\bullet\}} \times \triangle_{\{1_\circ, \dots, (n+1)_\circ\}}$. The oriented dual graph of the triangulation $\mathcal{T}^\varepsilon$ is the Hasse diagram of the (type $A$) $\varepsilon$-Cambrian lattice of N. Reading. For any $I_\bullet \subseteq \{0_\bullet, \dots, n_\bullet\}$ and $J_\circ \subseteq \{1_\circ, \dots, (n+1)_\circ\}$, we consider the restriction $\mathcal{T}^\varepsilon_{I_\bullet, J_\circ}$ of the triangulation $\mathcal{T}^\varepsilon$ to the face $\triangle_{I_\bullet} \times \triangle_{J_\circ}$. Its dual graph is naturally interpreted as the increasing flip graph on certain $(\varepsilon, I_\bullet, J_\circ)$-trees, which is shown to be a lattice generalizing in particular the $ν$-Tamari lattices in the Cambrian setting. Finally, we present an alternative geometric realization of $\mathcal{T}^\varepsilon_{I_\bullet, J_\circ}$ as a polyhedral complex induced by a tropical hyperplane arrangement.

Starting from a locally gentle bound quiver, we define on the one hand a simplicial complex, called the non-kissing complex. On the other hand, we construct a punctured, marked, oriented surface with boundary, endowed with a pair of dual dissections. From those geometric data, we define two simplicial complexes: the accordion complex, and the slalom complex, generalizing work of A. Garver and T. McConville in the case of a disk. We show that all three simplicial complexes are isomorphic, and that they are pure and thin. In particular, there is a notion of mutation on their facets, akin to $τ$-tilting mutation. Along the way, we also construct inverse bijections between the set of isomorphism classes of locally gentle bound quivers and the set of homeomorphism classes of punctured, marked, oriented surfaces with boundary, endowed with a pair of dual dissections.

This paper introduces a Hopf algebra structure on a family of reduced pipe dreams. We show that this Hopf algebra is free and cofree, and construct a surjection onto a commutative Hopf algebra of permutations. The pipe dream Hopf algebra contains Hopf subalgebras with interesting sets of generators and Hilbert series related to subsequences of Catalan numbers. Three other relevant Hopf subalgebras include the Loday-Ronco Hopf algebra on complete binary trees, a Hopf algebra related to a special family of lattice walks on the quarter plane, and a Hopf algebra on $ν$-trees related to $ν$-Tamari lattices. One of this Hopf subalgebras motivates a new notion of Hopf chains in the Tamari lattice, which are used to present applications and conjectures in the theory of multivariate diagonal harmonics.

We construct a Hopf algebra on integer binary relations that contains under the same roof several well-known Hopf algebras related to the permutahedra and the associahedra: the Malvenuto-Reutenauer algebra on permutations, the Loday-Ronco algebra on planar binary trees, and the Chapoton algebras on ordered partitions and on Schröder trees. We also derive from our construction new Hopf structures on intervals of the weak order on permutations and of the Tamari order on binary trees.

We define a natural lattice structure on all subsets of a finite root system that extends the weak order on the elements of the corresponding Coxeter group. For crystallographic root systems, we show that the subposet of this lattice induced by antisymmetric closed subsets of roots is again a lattice. We then study further subposets of this lattice which naturally correspond to the elements, the intervals and the faces of the permutahedron and the generalized associahedra of the corresponding Weyl group. These results extend to arbitrary finite crystallographic root systems the recent results of G. Chatel, V. Pilaud and V. Pons on the weak order on posets and its induced subposets.

Noncrossing arc diagrams are combinatorial models for the equivalence classes of the lattice congruences of the weak order on permutations. In this paper, we provide a general method to endow these objects with Hopf algebra structures. Specific instances of this method produce relevant Hopf algebras that appeared earlier in the literature.

We interpret the support $τ$-tilting complex of any gentle bound quiver as the non-kissing complex of walks on its blossoming quiver. Particularly relevant examples were previously studied for quivers defined by a subset of the grid or by a dissection of a polygon. We then focus on the case when the non-kissing complex is finite. We show that the graph of increasing flips on its facets is the Hasse diagram of a congruence-uniform lattice. Finally, we study its $\mathbf{g}$-vector fan and prove that it is the normal fan of a non-kissing associahedron.

Consider $2n$ points on the unit circle and a reference dissection $\mathrm{D}_\circ$ of the convex hull of the odd points. The accordion complex of $\mathrm{D}_\circ$ is the simplicial complex of non-crossing subsets of the diagonals with even endpoints that cross a connected subset of diagonals of $\mathrm{D}_\circ$. In particular, this complex is an associahedron when $\mathrm{D}_\circ$ is a triangulation and a Stokes complex when $\mathrm{D}_\circ$ is a quadrangulation. In this paper, we provide geometric realizations (by polytopes and fans) of the accordion complex of any reference dissection $\mathrm{D}_\circ$, generalizing known constructions arising from cluster algebras.
