The $Q$-$index$ of graph $G$ is the largest eigenvalue $q(G)$ of its signless Laplacian $Q(G)$. In this paper, we prove that the graph $K_{1}\nabla P_{n-1}$ has the maximal $Q$-index among all outer-planar graphs of order $n$.

For each of the notions of hypergraph quasirandomness that have been studied, we identify a large class of hypergraphs F so that every quasirandom hypergraph H admits a perfect F-packing. An informal statement of a special case of our general result for 3-uniform hypergraphs is as follows. Fix an integer r >= 4 and 0<p<1. Suppose that H is an n-vertex triple system with r|n and the following two properties:
* for every graph G with V(G)=V(H), at least p proportion of the triangles in G are also edges of H,
* for every vertex x of H, the link graph of x is a quasirandom graph with density at least p.
Then H has a perfect $K_r^{(3)}$-packing. Moreover, we show that neither hypotheses above can be weakened, so in this sense our result is tight. A similar conclusion for this special case can be proved by Keevash's hypergraph blowup lemma, with a slightly stronger hypothesis on H.
Domination games played on line graphs of complete multipartite graphs
The domination game on a graph $G$ (introduced by B. Brešar, S. Klavžar, D.F. Rall \cite{BKR2010}) consists of two players, Dominator and Staller, who take turns choosing a vertex from $G$ such that whenever a vertex is chosen by either player, at least one additional vertex is dominated. Dominator wishes to dominate the graph in as few steps as possible, and Staller wishes to delay this process as much as possible. The game domination number $γ_{\small g}(G)$ is the number of vertices chosen when Dominator starts the game; when Staller starts, it is denoted by $γ_{\small g}^{\prime }(G).$
In this paper, the domination game on line graph $L\left( K_{\overline{m}}\right) $ of complete multipartite graph $K_{\overline{m}}$ $(\overline{m}\equiv (m_{1},...,m_{n})\in \mathbb{N} ^{n})$ is considered, the exact values for game domination numbers are obtained and optimal strategy for both players is described. Particularly, it is proved that for $m_{1}\leq m_{2}\leq ...\leq m_{n}$ both $γ_{\small g}\left( L\left( K_{\overline{m}}\right) \right) =\min \left\{ \left\lceil \frac{2}{3}\left\vert V\left( K_{\overline{m}}\right) \right\vert \right\rceil ,\right.$ $\left. 2\max \left\{ \left\lceil \frac{1}{2}\left( m_{1}+...+m_{n-1}\right) \right\rceil ,\text{ }m_{n-1}\right\} \right\} -1$ when $n\geq 2$ and $γ_{g}^{\prime }(L\left( K_{\overline{m}}\right) )=\min \left\{ \left\lceil \frac{2}{3}\left( \left\vert V(K_{_{\overline{m}}})\right\vert -2\right) \right\rceil ,\right.$ $\left. 2\max \left\{ \left\lceil \frac{1}{2}\left( m_{1}+...+m_{n-1}-1\right) \right\rceil ,\text{ }m_{n-1}\right\} \right\} $ when $n\geq 4$.

Let $G[F,V_k,H_v]$ be the graph with $k$ pockets, where $F$ is a simple graph of order $n\geq1$, $V_k=\{v_1,\ldots,v_k\}$ is a subset of the vertex set of $F$ and $H_v$ is a simple graph of order $m\geq2$, $v$ is a specified vertex of $H_v$. Also let $G[F,E_k,H_{uv}]$ be the graph with $k$ edge-pockets, where $F$ is a simple graph of order $n\geq2$, $E_k=\{e_1,\ldots,e_k\}$ is a subset of the edge set of $F$ and $H_{uv}$ is a simple graph of order $m\geq3$, $uv$ is a specified edge of $H_{uv}$ such that $H_{uv}-u$ is isomorphic to $H_{uv}-v$. In this paper, we obtain some results describing the signless Laplacian spectra of $G[F,V_k,H_v]$ and $G[F,E_k,H_{uv}]$ in terms of the signless Laplacian spectra of $F,H_v$ and $F,H_{uv}$, respectively. In addition, we also give some results describing the adjacency spectrum of $G[F,V_k,H_v]$ in terms of the adjacency spectra of $F,H_v$. Finally, as an application of these results, we construct infinitely many pairs of signless Laplacian (resp. adjacency) cospectral graphs.

A maximal minor $M$ of the Laplacian of an $n$-vertex Eulerian digraph $Γ$ gives rise to a finite group $\mathbb{Z}^{n-1}/\mathbb{Z}^{n-1}M$ known as the sandpile (or critical) group $S(Γ)$ of $Γ$. We determine $S(Γ)$ of the generalized de Bruijn graphs $Γ=\mathrm{DB}(n,d)$ with vertices $0,\dots,n-1$ and arcs $(i,di+k)$ for $0\leq i\leq n-1$ and $0\leq k\leq d-1$, and closely related generalized Kautz graphs, extending and completing earlier results for the classical de Bruijn and Kautz graphs.
Moreover, for a prime $p$ and an $n$-cycle permutation matrix $X\in\mathrm{GL}_n(p)$ we show that $S(\mathrm{DB}(n,p))$ is isomorphic to the quotient by $\langle X\rangle$ of the centralizer of $X$ in $\mathrm{PGL}_n(p)$. This offers an explanation for the coincidence of numerical data in sequences A027362 and A003473 of the OEIS, and allows one to speculate upon a possibility to construct normal bases in the finite field $\mathbb{F}_{p^n}$ from spanning trees in $\mathrm{DB}(n,p)$.
The Laplacian spectral excess theorem for distance-regular graphs

The spectral excess theorem states that, in a regular graph G, the average excess, which is the mean of the numbers of vertices at maximum distance from a vertex, is bounded above by the spectral excess (a number that is computed by using the adjacency spectrum of G), and G is distance-regular if and only if equality holds. In this note we prove the corresponding result by using the Laplacian spectrum without requiring regularity of G.

Rigidity, arising in discrete geometry, is the property of a structure that does not flex. Laman provides a combinatorial characterization of rigid graphs in the Euclidean plane, and thus rigid graphs in the Euclidean plane have applications in graph theory. We discover a sufficient partition condition of packing spanning rigid subgraphs and spanning trees. As a corollary, we show that a simple graph $G$ contains a packing of $k$ spanning rigid subgraphs and $l$ spanning trees if $G$ is $(4k+2l)$-edge-connected, and $G-Z$ is essentially $(6k+2l - 2k|Z|)$-edge-connected for every $Z\subset V(G)$. Thus every $(4k+2l)$-connected and essentially $(6k+2l)$-connected graph $G$ contains a packing of $k$ spanning rigid subgraphs and $l$ spanning trees. Utilizing this, we show that every $6$-connected and essentially $8$-connected graph $G$ contains a spanning tree $T$ such that $G-E(T)$ is $2$-connected. These improve some previous results. Sparse subgraph covering problems are also studied.

A graph is called a pseudo-core if every endomorphism is either an automorphism or a colouring. In this paper, we show that every Grassmann graph $J_q(n,m)$ is a pseudo-core. Moreover, the Grassmann graph $J_q(n,m)$ is a core whenever $m$ and $n-m+1$ are not relatively prime, and $J_q(2pk-2, pk-1)$ is a core whenever $p,k\geq 2$.
On pre-Hamiltonian Cycles in Hamiltonian Digraphs
Let $D$ be a strongly connected directed graph of order $n\geq 4$. In \cite{[14]} (J. of Graph Theory, Vol.16, No. 5, 51-59, 1992) Y. Manoussakis proved the following theorem: Suppose that $D$ satisfies the following condition for every triple $x,y,z$ of vertices such that $x$ and $y$ are non-adjacent: If there is no arc from $x$ to $z$, then $d(x)+d(y)+d^+(x)+d^-(z)\geq 3n-2$. If there is no arc from $z$ to $x$, then $d(x)+d(y)+d^-(x)+d^+(z)\geq 3n-2$. Then $D$ is Hamiltonian. In this paper we show that: If $D$ satisfies the condition of Manoussakis' theorem, then $D$ contains a pre-Hamiltonian cycle (i.e., a cycle of length $n-1$) or $n$ is even and $D$ is isomorphic to the complete bipartite digraph with partite sets of cardinalities $n/2$ and $n/2$.
The stable set polytope of ($P_6$,triangle)-free graphs and new facet-inducing graphs
The stable set polytope of a graph $G$, denoted as STAB($G$), is the convex hull of all the incidence vectors of stable sets of $G$. To describe a linear system which defines STAB($G$) seems to be a difficult task in the general case. In this paper we present a complete description of the stable set polytope of ($P_6$,triangle)-free graphs (and more generally of ($P_6$,paw)-free graphs). For that we combine different tools, in the context of a well known result of Chvátal \cite{Chvatal1975} which allows to focus just on prime facet-inducing graphs, with particular reference to a structure result on prime ($P_6$,triangle)-free graphs due to Brandstädt et al. \cite{BraKleMah2005}. Also we point out some peculiarities of new facet-inducing graphs detected along this study with the help of a software.

In this paper we show that $D$ contains also a Hamiltonian bypass, (i.e., a subdigraph obtained from a Hamiltonian cycle by reversing exactly one arc) or $D$ is isomorphic to one tournament of order 5.

We prove that the cut space of any transitive graph $G$ is a finitely generated ${\rm Aut}(G)$-module if the same is true for its cycle space. This confirms a conjecture of Diestel which says that every locally finite transitive graph whose cycle space is generated by cycles of bounded length is accessible. In addition, it implies Dunwoody's conjecture that locally finite hyperbolic transitive graphs are accessible. As a further application, we obtain a combinatorial proof of Dunwoody's accessibility theorem of finitely presented groups.

In this paper we unify several existing regularity conditions for graphs, including strong regularity, $k$-isoregularity, and the $t$-vertex condition. We develop an algebraic composition/decomposition theory of regularity conditions. Using our theoretical results we show that a family of non rank 3 graphs known to satisfy the $7$-vertex condition fulfills an even stronger condition, $(3,7)$-regularity (the notion is defined in the text). Derived from this family we obtain a new infinite family of non rank $3$ strongly regular graphs satisfying the $6$-vertex condition. This strengthens and generalizes previous results by Reichard.
On hypergraph Lagrangians
It is conjectured by Frankl and Füredi that the $r$-uniform hypergraph with $m$ edges formed by taking the first $m$ sets in the colex ordering of ${\mathbb N}^{(r)}$ has the largest Lagrangian of all $r$-uniform hypergraphs with $m$ edges in \cite{FF}. Motzkin and Straus' theorem confirms this conjecture when $r=2$. For $r=3$, it is shown by Talbot in \cite{T} that this conjecture is true when $m$ is in certain ranges. In this paper, we explore the connection between the clique number and Lagrangians for $r$-uniform hypergraphs. As an implication of this connection, we prove that the $r$-uniform hypergraph with $m$ edges formed by taking the first $m$ sets in the colex ordering of ${\mathbb N}^{(r)}$ has the largest Lagrangian of all $r$-uniform graphs with $t$ vertices and $m$ edges satisfying ${t-1\choose r}\leq m \leq {t-1\choose r}+ {t-2\choose r-1}-[(2r-6)\times2^{r-1}+2^{r-3}+(r-4)(2r-7)-1]({t-2\choose r-2}-1)$ for $r\geq 4.$
Existence of spanning $\mathcal{F}$-free subgraphs with large minimum degree

Let $\mathcal{F}$ be a family of fixed graphs and let $d$ be large enough. For every $d$-regular graph $G$, we study the existence of a spanning $\mathcal{F}$-free subgraph of $G$ with large minimum degree. This problem is well-understood if $\mathcal{F}$ does not contain bipartite graphs. Here we provide asymptotically tight results for many families of bipartite graphs such as cycles or complete bipartite graphs.
Sublinear separators, fragility and subexponential expansion
Let G be a subgraph-closed graph class with bounded maximum degree. We show that if G has balanced separators whose size is smaller than linear by a polynomial factor, then G has subexponential expansion. This gives a partial converse to a result of Nešetřil and Ossona de Mendez. As an intermediate step, the proof uses a new kind of graph decompositions.
The skew-rank of oriented graphs

An oriented graph $G^σ$ is a digraph without loops and multiple arcs, where $G$ is called the underlying graph of $G^σ$. Let $S(G^σ)$ denote the skew-adjacency matrix of $G^σ$. The rank of the skew-adjacency matrix of $G^σ$ is called the {\it skew-rank} of $G^σ$, denoted by $sr(G^σ)$. The skew-adjacency matrix of an oriented graph is skew symmetric and the skew-rank is even. In this paper we consider the skew-rank of simple oriented graphs. Firstly we give some preliminary results about the skew-rank. Secondly we characterize the oriented graphs with skew-rank 2 and characterize the oriented graphs with pendant vertices which attain the skew-rank 4. As a consequence, we list the oriented unicyclic graphs, the oriented bicyclic graphs with pendant vertices which attain the skew-rank 4. Moreover, we determine the skew-rank of oriented unicyclic graphs of order $n$ with girth $k$ in terms of matching number. We investigate the minimum value of the skew-rank among oriented unicyclic graphs of order $n$ with girth $k$ and characterize oriented unicyclic graphs attaining the minimum value. In addition, we consider oriented unicyclic graphs whose skew-adjacency matrices are nonsingular.
Lower bounds for on-line graph colorings

We propose two strategies for Presenter in on-line graph coloring games. The first one constructs bipartite graphs and forces any on-line coloring algorithm to use $2\log_2 n - 10$ colors, where $n$ is the number of vertices in the constructed graph. This is best possible up to an additive constant. The second strategy constructs graphs that contain neither $C_3$ nor $C_5$ as a subgraph and forces $Ω(\frac{n}{\log n}^\frac{1}{3})$ colors. The best known on-line coloring algorithm for these graphs uses $O(n^{\frac{1}{2}})$ colors.
Upper bound on cubicity in terms of boxicity for graphs of low chromatic number

The boxicity (respectively cubicity) of a graph $G$ is the minimum non-negative integer $k$, such that $G$ can be represented as an intersection graph of axis-parallel $k$-dimensional boxes (respectively $k$-dimensional unit cubes) and is denoted by $box(G)$ (respectively $cub(G)$). It was shown by Adiga and Chandran (Journal of Graph Theory, 65(4), 2010) that for any graph $G$, $cub(G) \le$ box$(G) \left \lceil \log_2 α\right \rceil$, where $α= α(G)$ is the cardinality of the maximum independent set in $G$. In this note we show that $cub(G) \le 2 \left \lceil \log_2 χ(G) \right \rceil box(G) + χ(G) \left \lceil \log_2 α(G) \right \rceil $. In general, this result can provide a much better upper bound than that of Adiga and Chandran for graph classes with bounded chromatic number. For example, for bipartite graphs we get, $cub(G) \le 2 (box(G) + \left \lceil \log_2 α(G) \right \rceil )$.
Moreover we show that for every positive integer $k$, there exist graphs with chromatic number $k$, such that for every $ε> 0$, the value given by our upper bound is at most $(1+ε)$ times their cubicity. Thus, our upper bound is almost tight.
