Computation of q-Binomial Coefficients with the $P(n,m)$ Integer Partition Function
Using $P(n,m)$, the number of integer partitions of $n$ into exactly $m$ parts, which was the subject of an earlier paper, $P(n,m,p)$, the number of integer partitions of $n$ into exactly $m$ parts with each part at most $p$, can be computed in $O(n^2)$, and the q-binomial coefficient can be computed in $O(n^3)$. Using the definition of the q-binomial coefficient, some properties of the q-binomial coefficient and $P(n,m,p)$ are derived. The q-multinomial coefficient can be computed as a product of q-binomial coefficients. A formula for $Q(n,m,p)$, the number of integer partitions of $n$ into exactly $m$ distinct parts with each part at most $p$, is given. Some formulas for the number of integer partitions with each part between a minimum and a maximum are derived. A computer algebra program is listed implementing these algorithms using the computer algebra program of the earlier paper.

Statistics on Multisets
We offer a new proof that a certain q-analogue of multinomial coeffi- cients furnishes a q-counting of the set of permutations of an associated multiset of positive integers, according to the number of inversions in such arrangements. Our proof uses the fact that such q-multinomial coefficients enumerate certain classes of chains of subspaces of a fnite dimensional vector space over a fnite field of cardinality q. Additionally, we investigate the function that counts the number of permutations of a multiset having a fixed number of inversions.

How to Extend Karolyi and Nagy's BRILLIANT Proof of the Zeilberger-Bressoud q-Dyson Theorem in order to Evaluate ANY Coefficient of the q-Dyson Product
We show how to extend the Karolyi-Nagy beautiful proof of the Zeilberger-Bressoud q-Dyson theorem, (first proved by Zeilberger and Bressoud in 1985, and originally conjectured by George Andrews in 1975), that states that the constant term of a certain Laurent polynomial equals the q-multinomial coefficient, how to evaluate any other specific coefficient. The algorithm implies that any such coefficient is always a certain rational function (that the algorithm finds) times the q-multinomial coefficient.

A generalization of the q-Saalschutz sum and the Burge transform

A generalization of the q-(Pfaff)-Saalschutz summation formula is proved. This implies a generalization of the Burge transform, resulting in an additional dimension of the ``Burge tree''. Limiting cases of our summation formula imply the (higher-level) Bailey lemma, provide a new decomposition of the q-multinomial coefficients, and can be used to prove the Lepowsky and Primc formula for the A_1^{(1)} string functions.
