A nonempty $k$-regular graph $Γ$ on $n$ vertices is called a Deza graph if there exist constants $b$ and $a$ $(b \geq a)$ such that any pair of distinct vertices of $Γ$ has precisely either $b$ or $a$ common neighbours. The quantities $n$, $k$, $b$, and $a$ are called the parameters of $Γ$ and are written as the quadruple $(n,k,b,a)$. If a Deza graph has diameter 2 and is not strongly regular, then it is called a strictly Deza graph. In the paper we investigate strictly Deza graphs with parameters $ (n, k, b, a) $, where its quantities satisfy the conditions $k = b + 1$ and $\frac{k(k - 1) - a(n - 1)}{b - a} > 1$.
The List Linear Arboricity of Graphs

A linear forest is a forest in which every connected component is a path. The linear arboricity of a graph $G$ is the minimum number of linear forests of $G$ covering all edges. In 1980, Akiyama, Exoo and Harary proposed a conjecture, known as the Linear Arboricity Conjecture (LAC), stating that every $d$-regular graph $G$ has linear arboricity $\lceil \frac{d+1}{2} \rceil$. In 1988, Alon proved that the LAC holds asymptotically. In 1999, the list version of the LAC was raised by An and Wu, which is called the List Linear Arboricity Conjecture. In this article, we prove that the List Linear Arboricity Conjecture holds asymptotically.

Hefetz, Mütze, and Schwartz conjectured that every connected undirected graph admits an antimagic orientation. In this paper we support the analogous question for distance magic labeling. Let $Γ$ be an Abelian group of order $n$. A \textit{directed $Γ$-distance magic labeling} of an oriented graph $\vec{G} = (V,A)$ of order $n$ is a bijection $\vec{l}:V \rightarrow Γ$ with the property that there is a \textit{magic constant} $μ\in Γ$ such that for every $x \in V(G)$ $ w(x) = \sum_{y \in N^{+}(x)}\vec{l}(y) - \sum_{y \in N^{-}(x)} \vec{l}(y) = μ. $ In this paper we provide an infinite family of odd regular graphs possessing an orientable $\mathbb{Z}_{n}$-distance magic labeling. Our results refer to lexicographic product of graphs. We also present a family of odd regular graphs that are not orientable $\mathbb{Z}_{n}$-distance magic.
Distinguishing critical graphs

The distinguishing number $D(G)$ of a graph $G$ is the least integer $d$ such that $G$ has a vertex labeling with $d$ labels that is preserved only by a trivial automorphism. We say that a graph $G$ is $d$-distinguishing critical, if $D(G)=d$ and $D(H)\neq D(G)$, for every proper induced subgraph $H$ of $G$. This generalizes the usual definition of a $d$-chromatic critical graph. While the investigation of $d$-critical graphs is a well established part of coloring theory, not much is known about $d$-distinguishing critical graphs. In this paper we determine all $d$-distinguishing critical graphs for $d= 1,2,3$ and observe that all of these kind of graphs are $k$-regular graph for some $k\leq d$. Also, we show that the disconnected $d$-distinguishing critical graph with $c$ connected components such that $c\geq \frac{d}{2}$, is a regular graph.
Vertex covering with monochromatic pieces of few colours

In 1995, Erdős and Gyárfás proved that in every $2$-colouring of the edges of $K_n$, there is a vertex cover by $2\sqrt{n}$ monochromatic paths of the same colour, which is optimal up to a constant factor. The main goal of this paper is to study the natural multi-colour generalization of this problem: given two positive integers $r,s$, what is the smallest number $\text{pc}_{r,s}(K_n)$ such that in every colouring of the edges of $K_n$ with $r$ colours, there exists a vertex cover of $K_n$ by $\text{pc}_{r,s}(K_n)$ monochromatic paths using altogether at most $s$ different colours? For fixed integers $r>s$ and as $n\to\infty$, we prove that $\text{pc}_{r,s}(K_n) = Θ(n^{1/χ})$, where $χ=\max{\{1,2+2s-r\}}$ is the chromatic number of the Kneser gr aph $\text{KG}(r,r-s)$. More generally, if one replaces $K_n$ by an arbitrary $n$-vertex graph with fixed independence number $α$, then we have $\text{pc}_{r,s}(G) = O(n^{1/χ})$, where this time around $χ$ is the chromatic number of the Kneser hypergraph $\text{KG}^{(α+1)}(r,r-s)$. This result is tight in the sense that there exist graphs with independence number $α$ for which $\text{pc}_{r,s}(G) = Ω(n^{1/χ})$. This is in sharp contrast to the case $r=s$, where it follows from a result of Sárközy (2012) that $\text{pc}_{r,r}(G)$ depends only on $r$ and $α$, but not on the number of vertices. We obtain similar results for the situation where instead of using paths, one wants to cover a graph with bounded independence number by monochromatic cycles, or a complete graph by monochromatic $d$-regular graphs.
Sedentary quantum walks

Let $X$ be a graph with adjacency matrix $A$. The \textsl{continuous quantum walk} on $X$ is determined by the unitary matrices $U(t)=\exp(itA)$. If $X$ is the complete graph $K_n$ and $a\in V(X)$, then \[1-|U(t)_{a,a}|\le2/n. \] In a sense, this means that a quantum walk on a complete graph stay home with high probability. In this paper we consider quantum walks on cones over an $\ell$-regular graph on $n$ vertices. We prove that if $\ell^2/n\to\infty$ as $n$ increases, than a quantum walk that starts on the apex of the cone will remain on it with probability tending to $1$ as $n$ increases. On the other hand, if $\ell\le2$ we prove that there is a time $t$ such that local uniform mixing occurs, i.e., all vertices are equally likely.
We investigate when a quantum walk on strongly regular graph has a high probability of "staying at home", producing large families of examples with the stay-at-home property where the valency is small compared to the number of vertices.
More on the sixth coefficient of the matching polynomial in regular graphs
A matching set $M$ in a graph $G$ is a collection of edges of $G$ such that no two edges from $M$ share a vertex. In this paper we consider some parameters related to the matching of regular graphs. We find the sixth coefficient of the matching polynomial of regular graphs. As a consequence, every cubic graph of order $10$ is matching unique.
On Hamilton Decompositions of Line Graphs of Non-Hamiltonian Graphs and Graphs without Separating Transitions
In contrast with Kotzig's result that the line graph of a $3$-regular graph $X$ is Hamilton decomposable if and only if $X$ is Hamiltonian, we show that for each integer $k\geq 4$ there exists a simple non-Hamiltonian $k$-regular graph whose line graph has a Hamilton decomposition. We also answer a question of Jackson by showing that for each integer $k\geq 3$ there exists a simple connected $k$-regular graph with no separating transitions whose line graph has no Hamilton decomposition.
State transfer in strongly regular graphs with an edge perturbation

Quantum walks, an important tool in quantum computing, have been very successfully investigated using techniques in algebraic graph theory. We are motivated by the study of state transfer in continuous-time quantum walks, which is understood to be a rare and interesting phenomenon. We consider a perturbation on an edge $uv$ of a graph where we add a weight $β$ to the edge and a loop of weight $γ$ to each of $u$ and $v$. We characterize when for this perturbation results in strongly cospectral vertices $u$ and $v$. Applying this to strongly regular graphs, we give infinite families of strongly regular graphs where some perturbation results in perfect state transfer. Further, we show that, for every strongly regular graph, there is some perturbation which results in pretty good state transfer. We also show for any strongly regular graph $X$ and edge $e \in E(X)$, that $φ(X\setminus e)$ does not depend on the choice of $e$.
A Near Proof of Weak Graph Positivity, A New Property of Random Regular Graphs
One deals with r-regular bipartite graphs with 2n vertices. In a previous paper Butera, Pernici, and the author have introduced a quantity d(i), a function of the number of i-matchings, and conjectured that as n goes to infinity the fraction of graphs that satisfy Delta^k d(i) for all k and i, approaches 1. Here Delta is the finite difference operator. This conjecture we called the 'graph positivity conjecture'.
In this paper it is formally shown that for each i and k the probability that Delta^k d(i) goes to 1 with n going to infinity.
We call this weaker result the 'weak graph positivity conjecture ( theorem )'.
A formalism of Wanless as systematized by Pernici is central to this effort.
Our result falls short of being a rigorous proof since we make a sweeping conjecture ( computer tested ), of which we so far have only a portion of the proof.
Perfect matchings in highly cyclically connected regular graphs
A leaf matching operation on a graph consists of removing a vertex of degree~$1$ together with its neighbour from the graph. For $k\geq 0$, let $G$ be a $d$-regular cyclically $(d-1+2k)$-edge-connected graph of even order. We prove that for any given set $X$ of $d-1+k$ edges, there is no $1$-factor of $G$ avoiding $X$ if and only if either an isolated vertex can be obtained by a series of leaf matching operations in $G-X$, or $G-X$ has an independent set that contains more than half of the vertices of~$G$. To demonstrate how to check the conditions of the theorem we prove several statements on $2$-factors of cubic graphs. For $k\ge 3$, we prove that given a cubic cyclically $(4k-5)$-edge-connected graph $G$ and three paths of length $k$ such that the distance of any two of them is at least $8k-17$, there is a $2$-factor of $G$ that contains one of the paths . We provide a similar statement for two paths when $k=3$ and $k=4$. As a corollary we show that given a vertex $v$ in a cyclically $7$-edge-connected cubic graph, there is a $2$-factor such that $v$ is in a circuit of length greater than $7$.
The k-planar crossing number of random graphs and random regular graphs

We give an explicit extension of Spencer's result on the biplanar crossing number of the Erdos-Renyi random graph $G(n,p)$. In particular, we show that the k-planar crossing number of $G(n,p)$ is almost surely $Ω((n^2p)^2)$. Along the same lines, we prove that for any fixed $k$, the $k$-planar crossing number of various models of random $d$-regular graphs is $Ω((dn)^2)$ for $d > c_0$ for some constant $c_0=c_0(k)$.

Given a simple graph $G$, its Laplacian-energy-like invariant $LEL(G)$ and incidence energy $IE(G)$ are the sum of square root of its all Laplacian eigenvalues and signless Laplacian eigenvalues, respectively. Applying the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality and the Ozeki inequality, along with its refined version, we obtain some improved bounds on $LEL$ and $IE$ of the $\mathcal {R}$-graph and $\mathcal{Q}$-graph for a regular graph. Theoretical analysis indicates that these results improve some known results. In addition, some new lower bounds on $LEL$ and $IE$ of the line graph of a semiregular graph are also given.
Conjectured bound for the distribution of eigenvalues of a graph
Let $(n^+, n^0, n^-)$ denote the inertia of a graph $G$ with $n$ vertices. Nordhaus-Gaddum bounds are known for inertia, except for an upper bound for $n^-$. We conjecture that for any graph \[ n^-(G) + n^-(\bar{G}) \le 1.5(n - 1), \] and prove this bound for various classes of graphs and for almost all graphs.
We consider the relationship between this bound and the number of eigenvalues that lie within the interval $-1$ to $0$, which we denote $n_{(-1,0)}(G)$. We conjecture that for any graph \[ n_{(-1,0)}(G) \le 0.5(n - 1). \] and prove this bound for almost all graphs. We also investigate extremal graphs for both bounds and show that both bounds are equivalent for regular graphs.

Let $G$ be a simple graph with $n$ vertices and let $$C(G;x)=\sum_{k=0}^n(-1)^{n-k}c(G,k)x^k$$ denote the Laplacian characteristic polynomial of $G$. Then if the size $|E(G)|$ is large compared to the maximum degree $Δ(G)$, Laplacian coefficients $c(G,k)$ are approximately normally distributed (by central and local limit theorems). We show that Laplacian coefficients of the paths, the cycles, the stars, the wheels and regular graphs of degree $d$ are approximately normally distributed respectively. We also point out that Laplacian coefficients of the complete graphs and the complete bipartite graphs are approximately Poisson distributed respectively.
On $k$-tuple and $k$-tuple total domination numbers of regular graphs

Let $G$ be a connected graph of order $n$, whose minimum vertex degree is at least $k$. A subset $S$ of vertices in $G$ is a $k$-tuple total dominating set if every vertex of $G$ is adjacent to at least $k$ vertices in $S$. The minimum cardinality of a $k$-tuple total dominating set of $G$ is the $k$-tuple total domination number of $G$, denoted by $γ_{\times k,t}(G)$. Henning and Yeo in \cite{hen} proved that if $G$ is a cubic graph different from the Heawood graph, $γ_{\times 2, t}(G) \leq \frac{5}{6}n$, and this bound is sharp. Similarly, a $k$-tuple dominating set is a subset $S$ of vertices of $G$, $V (G)$ such that $|N[v] \cap S| \geq k$ for every vertex $v$, where $N[v] = \{v\}\cup \{u \in V(G) : uv \in E(G)\}$. The $k$-tuple domination number of $G$, denoted by $γ_{\times k}(G)$, is the minimum cardinality of a $k$-tuple dominating set of $G$.
In this paper, we give a simple approach to compute an upper bound for $(r-1)$-tuple total domination number of $r$-regular graphs. Also, we give an upper bound for the $r$-tuple dominating number of $r$-regular graphs. In addition, our method gives algorithms to compute dominating sets with the given bounds, while the previous methods are existential.

Let $Γ$ be a graph and let $G$ be a group of automorphisms of $Γ$. The graph $Γ$ is called $G$-normal if $G$ is normal in the automorphism group of $Γ$. Let $T$ be a finite non-abelian simple group and let $G = T^l$ with $l\geq 1$. In this paper we prove that if every connected pentavalent symmetric $T$-vertex-transitive graph is $T$-normal, then every connected pentavalent symmetric $G$-vertex-transitive graph is $G$-normal. This result, among others, implies that every connected pentavalent symmetric $G$-vertex-transitive graph is $G$-normal except $T$ is one of $57$ simple groups. Furthermore, every connected pentavalent symmetric $G$-regular graph is $G$-normal except $T$ is one of $20$ simple groups, and every connected pentavalent $G$-symmetric graph is $G$-normal except $T$ is one of $17$ simple groups.

Let $i(r,g)$ denote the infimum of the ratio $\frac{α(G)}{|V(G)|}$ over the $r$-regular graphs of girth at least $g$, where $α(G)$ is the independence number of $G$, and let $i(r,\infty) := \lim\limits_{g \to \infty} i(r,g)$. Recently, several new lower bounds of $i(3,\infty)$ were obtained. In particular, Hoppen and Wormald showed in 2015 that $i(3, \infty) \ge 0.4375$, and Csóka improved it to $i(3,\infty) \ge 0.44533$ in 2016. Bollobás proved the upper bound $i(3,\infty) < \frac{6}{13}$ in 1981, and McKay improved it to $i(3,\infty) < 0.45537$ in 1987. There were no improvements since then. In this paper, we improve the upper bound to $i(3,\infty) \le 0.454.$

An internal partition of a graph is a partitioning of the vertex set into two parts such that for every vertex, at least half of its neighbors are on its side. We prove that for every positive integer $r$, asymptotically almost every $2r$-regular graph has an internal partition.
